One evening I was taking it out to clean the cage and d it turned on me and latched onto my hand, between the thumb and forefinger. Being only 3 feet long meant the teeth were small but man, that dude was stuck. I decided then and there to take it back to the pet store and thankfully they took it.

"That photo of the naked lady with the snake on her" was 1981's "Nastassja Kinski & the Serpent" - an iconic poster/art print of German supermodel/actress Nastassja Kinski by famed fashion photographer Richard Avedon. This was an image that was pretty difficult to avoid in the 1980s...
Let's watch Nastassja Kinski and Malcolm McDowell in in the seminal horror film Cat People (1982)
For more Cameron Diaz movies check out The Mask (1994), My Best Friend's Wedding (1997), Being John Malkovich (1999), Charlie's Angels (2000), Vanilla Sky (2001), Knight and Day (2010), Bad Teacher (2011) and, of course, The Shrek Movies (2001-2010)
Matt Dillon was a teen idol in the 1980s starring in such classics as My Bodyguard (1980), Little Darlings (1980), The Outsiders (1983), Rumble Fish (1983) and The Flamingo Kid (1984). There's Something About Mary revived his career much the same way Pulp Fiction did for John Travolta. Dillon has since gone on to star in such films as Wild Things (1998), City of Ghosts (2002), You, Me and Dupree (2006) and received critical acclaim for his roll in Crash (2004).
*BS* Let's see Mystery Men (1999) a superhero spoof with Stiller, Janeane Garafolo, William H Macy, Paul Reubens, Hank Azaria, Eddie Izzard, Greg Kinnear, Geoffrey Rush and many, many other practically forgotten icons from the 90s!
    Cheers!

I saw this movie in a theater with a friend. We said almost during the movie. Afterward, we each took a breath to say it was one of the worst movies we'd ever seen. Gross. Crass. Stupid. Juvenile. All of which can work in comedy, except this wasn't funny at all. Made me think I never wanted to see Ben Stiller in anything again.

Check out Dumb and Dumber with Jim Carrey and Jeff Daniels, also directed by the Farrelly Brothers. And for Dumb and Dumber, I'd say try to find the theatrical cut. There's an extended version but it kinda slows down the pace of the movie for jokes that aren't really worth it. Kingpin is also good, with Woody Harrelson and Bill Murray.

It is not an ideal movie for dog lovers This is the first TISAM reaction I saw, which does include the famous hair-gel scene. That scene was topic of many discussions for months, back in the good old days when this movie came out

I've only seen parts of this movie but had to watch your reaction, mainly for the "hair gel" part. That was very well-known. :) I love how into the romance you were and how you weren't sure how the movie would end. Plus, your love of the dog! And I think everyone would agree with you that Cameron Diaz is beautiful.
You asked for suggestions for 90s comedy movies at the end, so I'd love to see a reaction to The Full Monty. Or, for something a bit more family-friendly, MouseHunt (which also stars the actor who plays Tucker/Norm in this movie).

For another very offbeat romantic comedy, try "Me, Myself, and Irene." (Jim Carrey)
