This is so fish can feed them selves when they are hungry. They would knock the rod and food would fall into the water. This is made from things I found in the shed and recycling bin.
This would be good for large fish but I fear intelligent fish like Oscars would keep knocking it until they have gotten all the food out very quickly and would over fed themselves. Here is a new challenge for you, can you invent a feeder that only lets out a set amount of food in a day but can hold food for a few days? Anyway very cleaver invention, well done.
Actually they are, there are professional units out there. My fish were a bit small for this experiment. The pro units have a motor in them that shakes the unit when the fish hit the rod.
whether it works or not, i love that you even thought of it, great job bud

Especially goldfish. Some people actually trained them like dogs. Goldies will murder somebody for food.
Very clever!
The theory is they only feed when they are hungry. The prototype was a flop and I haven' been back to see if I can make it work?
hmmm my fish would learn that fast and in about a week id have big fat fish hahahahaha
Thumbs up mate!
XD This is awesome! Now I just gotta figure out how to train my guppies to use it...
I've had one working without the fish going hungry.
simple and good i think
And what about the people that feed flakes?
Are they inteligent enough to not overfed?
Short answer is yes.
I still feed by hand and they only eat what they want and the res gets sucked up by the pump.
Fish don't have stomach "nerves" that tell them not to eat.
What if the water current touch it or some animals like lizard ect. ? All fish food will be wasted and the water will turn into brown ...to bad ideal
90% wster change n prime the sit out of it
OMG....
holy shit WTF
This video is confusing!
