Good Afternoon! Back with an educational video that I hope sheds some light on a very prevalent issue. Sorry to bring such disappointing news - if you are like me and occasionally love to have your hair braided with synthetic hair. I am truly done!
Let me know what you think and please share this with someone else who wears braids!

Feel free to leave suggestions or links to Safe, Ethical, and Fair-sourced extensions.
📣Addendum: 👂 I have already answered this question so many times in the comments section “Why is your hair braided with synthetic hair if you know it is bad for you?”
Answer: in the video, I am wearing an old twist-out style which I installed myself BEFORE I knew the information I was sharing with you. I filmed this video after doing research and while wearing an old hairstyle. For full transparency, I kept it in to show you I have also liked and worn synthetic hair like many Black women. In the video, I actually showed you the hair I used for this particular style.
Now that I know better that style and hair is no longer in my hair. In other words, after filming this video I took out the hair and will no longer wear it or any other synthetic hair.
Hope that makes sense to the many that have asked! One thing about me I am very transparent and my goal is always to be truthful.
I too have stopped using "hair extensions" & chemical relaxers for about 5 years now by God's grace. I've learned to maintain, care for & be content to my natural hair.
On the topic of harmful toxins & chemicals, make-up is another one to re-evaluate.
Thank you for sharing. God bless you
@Kenton-Habiba
Wow...how timely is this?
I took out my locks a few weeks ago. For sure I had no intentions of using human hair sacrificed to idols (plus stolen and even from corpses) or putting any chemicals but I thought synthetics and synthetic wigs were safe. I have been just natural these few weeks but thank goodness I waited.
The wool/crochet hair yes...was my 1st thought. I have seen beautiful styles with it. Thank you so very much for sharing this.
YESSS we must share this info. be empowered Y'all, thank you
@Kenton-Habiba Habiba, thank you for the information on toxicity of synthetic braiding/extension hair. Would you be able to PIN your comment so that it appears first in the Comment section? Then more viewers will see it and the links you have so graciously shared.
There are issues with human hair also. In some countries, women cut their hair to get rid of bad spirits or the hard session they have been through. Leaving the pain behind. Called New beginnings or New birth. I'm just saying that the best braids are your own natural beautiful hair.
Indeed!
They also sacrifice their hair to their gods which I found out it is an actual Hindu practice. We're better off looking like our natural selves
Some of the hairs have been scraped off the heads of corpes aswell.

Hell yeah, we need more of this
Thank you so much for sharing this masterpiece
I looked up VOCs(volatile/violent organic compounds)here on TH-cam again and last I saw was a.medical or maybe he was an engineer that talked about how those VOCs are in the wigs too. Have to be very careful out here
In addition to the artificial hair, the artificial nails should also be a call for health concerns!🤔
The food is the biggest of them all
Yes they already mentioned how the uv light is dangerous while using for nail curing
And the lips stick too
& synthetic clothes
Yup. I do not know how women sit in those places for hours smelling that acrylic. That amazes me all the time.
Can we say CLASS ACTION law suit!!! We need to get this started
I want my $5 class action lawsuit 😌
Why? No one is forcing women to buy cheap synthetic crap to weave into their hair in order to lie about their natural hair length or for whatever sorry reason women use to explain wearing doll hair on their adult heads. Plus considering the fake nails and plastic eyelashes a lot of women adorn themselves with one would say that most of you are already screwed. So why the fear over another toxic item that could kill you but hasn't yet.
This!!! Corporations only understand when we hit their pocketbooks.

Wont happen. Too many black people promoting this garbage.
I had a friend that lived in China prior and during the pandemic. She told me back then to avoid wigs and synthetic hair because they were doing things to it to cause us harm over here. I believed her then and see that she was definitely right.
This comment should be pinned! It's definitely done on purpose to harm black women.
Thank you sister for this information. We need to grow and wear our own God made hair.
And most everything (with some exceptions) is imported from China so what does that tell us..

This is why our scalp itches after applying hair weave. They are killing us slowly and we are paying for it twice ( money 💵 & with our life) RIP
It's also the gel they put in the parts.....that's what makes my scalp itch...but it goes away after a few minutes...for me anyway
@@flyleelee5351yep! They do that to take good instagram photos and then they tell you not to wash your braids 😂 it’s madness. I haven’t had braids in years and I’m much happier for it
We are killing ourselves by not checking products out well. Some of us still put it in their hair knowing the danger all for the sake of beauty. 🙏🏼
I used to soak the synthetic hair in a little bit of vinegar
A study needs to be done on that gummy gel as it's so cheap and users soak their hair in it. I was going to get my done today. I ve done natural twists for now till i do further investigation. Thank you🎉
Why isn’t this widely advertised? Until this video, I didn’t know this at all.
The don't want people to know thats why
We don’t do enough research on what we’re putting IN and ON our bodies. When I stopped eating meat in 2010 everybody called me crazy, now they all want to know my recipes. I had long stopped relaxing my hair (much to my family’s chagrin) and after growing my hair out started my loc journey 6 years ago. My locs are thick and flowing and I feel proud that I chose what was healthiest for MY body, whether other people realized what I was doing or not. Your health is MOST important over people’s opinions of you. Much power and ☮️
It's not widely publicized because it primarily affects us
It's not widely known because that would keep the companies from making MONEY.💰
Cause they want your money that's why
This is scary. My neice uses ths stuff for her 7 year old daughter. We need to get back to the good, old days when little girls wore their own hair. No relaxers and no extensions.
Send her this video
Well this is false because I received relaxers and I was born in the 80s. No one uses relaxers anymore.
Seven….I’ve see it on 1 year olds on TH-cam!!!! Look it up. It’s a very sad reality. These silly mothers want their babies to have long hair so badly.
7???? A 7 year old should have long natural hair smh
That part!!
*We need more "Black"/brown girls and women in STEM. Time to get in the labs, ladies.* 🙏🏽🔬👩🏽🔬
I agree, I would like to see black women & girls as well as the brown(nonblk woc, including mixedrace) ones too!
I wish we had our labs that would be a blessing from God. I want to work there if it does come true because they killing us 😢
I saw this on TIKTOK and as I stated, we black people/women have problems. Chemical is in everything-food, sanitary pad, deodorant, perfume, lotions, detergent, drying the clothes, lipstick, makeup, water, etc
So basically this is a chemical war on women…
We ladies are always at risk because of all the chemicals we apply or use on our body to make us look more beautiful , things like cosmetics, deodorant, perfume, soap, detergent even our foods now are filled with many chemicals too, what are we gonna do or use again
Thank you sis
It seems inescapable, we're being poisoned by the truckload.
TBH …
The people who created the hair do not care for us. I always try to avoid anything that was made mainly for black people. I will now add braided hair to my list.
Why don't we just make our own. Tired of everyone getting rich at our expense but treat us like trash.
That's why I use white people hair products.
They put curses on that hair “ human “ and synthetic .. many folk don’t know that .. this is how it became big business in the black community.
@@freespiritpearl89my niece only uses vo5 and her and her daughters have heads full of hair.

I believe that's why some many women and young girls are no suffering from alopecia, more like never before
Yes, I observed that, but always thought that it must be from over tight braiding.
It's definitely a mix of harmful extensions and overly tight hairstyles. Even women who don't wear extensions can lose their hair from traction alopecia if they wear tight ponytails often.
My scalp felt like it was on 🔥when I got my hair braided some color synthetic hair
@@Cindy99765 you’re absolutely correct. I never really used to wear wigs or weaves because my hair is and was always a nice length. I’ve recently noticed light thinning on my edges. Enough to make me stop putting ponytails and start trying to regrow edges before they become too thin.
Bingo 🎉
This is so true, synthetic braiding hair is dangerous. I have never been big on braid with added hair. Last summer I decided to get braids. Half way through getting my hair braided I started breaking out everywhere starting on my face. I was really itchy but I still got my hair finished. I was getting worse so I tried to wash the hair and that didn’t work. Over the next few days I was in agony and my face and ears were so swollen and I was uncontrollably scratching to the point where some spots were bleeding. I took Benadryl and even had to go to the ER for steroid shots. They asked what I had done differently and the only thing was the hair, they told me to take it out immediately because I was having an allergic reaction to it and it’s ingredients. I took it out and within a couple of days the swelling went down and the itching stopped. I never wore synthetic hair again.

Exactly, sis. Vanity kills our women. Living for the Most High as a daughter of Zion is a safe and righteous life. Scripture shows us just how to do it.
Yes as a cosmetologist graduate in 1984 had to quit doing chemical s , in hair in 1997 all together because of the health risks. So happy I did.
@@drinabooboo I agree.
No polish or makeup sheesh
Why a mask?
Synthetic hair is OK, the issue is the chemical used. THE FIX: soak hair in warm water (not hot) for 20 minutes in vinegar. You'll see the chemicals rise to the top-it's a white film. Throw off that water and keep rinsing in lukewarm water until the water is clear. Let the hair air dry. This process gets rid of harmful chemicals and stops itching.
Edit to add: use gloves if you can, keeps the chemicals off your skin.
Does washing the Synthetic hair with shampoo get rid of the chemicals?
@@gibboranks I would wash with the vinegar first as it stripes it of the chemicals and shampoo & condition after if you wish.
Like aloe Vera leavrs

Yes it sure does, you can see the film in the water. No chemical smells no itching.
You did such an amazing job bringing this information to light. I gave up the relaxers in my early twenties. Now in my fifties. Most people don't put all the dots together and would never equate our hair and beauty regiments with warfare. There has been a war on the black woman's womb forever. Population control is real. There is no end to the nefarious ways that the enemy has tried to do this. Whether it is synthetic hair, perm, or glue for the wigs and eyelashes it is time for us to understand who is making products that target us and why. Just do a little critical thinking and you can see it clearly. We just have to take our emotions out of the equation long enough to stop being defensive about it and see it. Black women, it's time for us to love ourselves enough to put all of those poisons down and find creative ways to embrace our natural beauty. We are beautiful.❤

Human hair is just as bad as well. Witchcraft is often involved in wearing of human hair as well...wear your OWN hair. ❤
I recently stopped using the braiding hair from those popular companies (because of the itch) and brought from a black owned company called Ruka. It was more expensive but the website claims to not use those harmful chemicals. I really hope its true. Im going to do more research.
Did you install it? Does it itch?
I want to try this ruka brand as well. Seems like the only thing that retains length for me is braids. I think will do braids for a year till my own hair grows.
@solajoseph3127
Exactly. These comments are talking about "loving ourselves" and "wearing our natural hair" like it's so easy to grow it out and maintain it for a whole lifetime. It's NOT easy, and some of us gain inches by using extensions.
My aunt was a hair Braider and she sadly passed away from leukemia 😢. I’m not sure if it’s linked… but I wouldn’t be surprised if it is.

Thanks, Dr. Habiba. It’s scary that more and more things Black women use are found to be toxic. First relaxers, then clothes from Temu, Shein and Fashion Nova, now, synthetic braid extensions. Makes you think there’s a conspiracy somewhere…
The clothes aren’t going to be worn everyday for 2 to 3 months plus most people wash their clothes every week but braiding hair women are leaving in their heads for 2 to 7 months at a time without washing
I been following effects of the quick fashions for a while. It put such a toll on us as humans but also the environment.

Carcinogens gasses are also being released from our own homes and household contents as well. Its even in our cars. It can be smelled when enter warm or hot cars if you dont believe me. Its not just hair. Its everything.
I was thinking the same, we should move off grid and garden. Get away from this mess
How is that relevant when she’s talking about hair. Stay on task.
Literally .
Unfortunately, they are everywhere. But, depending on your location, the levels of all these carcinogenic chemicals and forever chemicals aren't high enough to cause any immediate effect. The effects are mostly long term. However, there are ways to reduce our exposure to a moderate extent. However, the carcinogenic polymers, byproducts, chemical precursors, and derivatives, in hair products are unacceptable and the companies who are responsible for this are despicable.
It’s the phytoestrogens in plastics
I was a hairstylist for 19 years and I've always thought this, but could never prove it. Thank you for sharing.
Glad it was helpful!
I have been braiding hair since, I was a kid. I graduated from a Hair Braiding Course. I really appreciate your time and research. I will definitely use your information to help myself and my people. Thank you, for the each one teach one attitude.
Those are not the only things that causes irritations, cancer etc. Like the lip polish we wear, the make up toosl, what chemicals are they made from? Are they healthy or toxic?. It's only God that is keeping us from all those diseases. God have mercy on us all
So true even the foods medicine 💊💉 all are same things even the vaccines

Exactly EVERTHING from what we consume to what we put on our bodies are at risk. Organic food isn’t really organic, meats are bring cloned, shampoos and hair products we use on a regular are used with chemicals. Even the toothbrush we use are made from artificial bristles! Unless we have the time to do everything like in the prehistoric days before technology we just have to weigh out our options. I need to see studies done on millions of people because on the same not anything we ingest can cause cancer.

Yes!!!!😭😭😭😭
I did a research for those of us black ladies that like swimming and aquarius, while studying art and design. In the research, before we enter the pool or the sea. Rub virgin coconut oil all over your hair and body after a warm shower. If you are allergic to coconut use virgin olive oil. Another one is applying leave in conditioner and wearing a regulated water tight swimming cap like the one I have by Speedo. After finishing from the pool or the sea take a shower to wash of the chlorine off your body.
Wear a swim cap
Or just sweating in general 🥵
Scary
Plastics are everywhere but health needs to be first in our minds. Thanks for the video.
After my BC diagnosis I began researching what could have triggered this in an otherwise healthy person who does not drink, smoke and also generally eats healthy. The answer was just about every hair product, every soap, body spray, ALL make up, plastic plates/cups, food, including anything with artificial flabor and dyes, and more being laden with chemicals that disrupt: DNA, hormones, skin, major organs within the body. Some of the most popular brands are breaking us down one cell at a time with their products and kiling us slowly and we dont even know it until its too late. 😔 Some things that we use in every day life are wreaking havoc on our bodies. I even changed my cookware.
I only cook in cast Iron pots.
This is a critically important topic. Thank you for sharing this.

Yes my thoughts exactly. I have been natural for nearly 10 years and I make nearly all my hair products. Never looked back since. 😁

As a stylist, I’m not a “braider”but sometimes have to braid for wig and weave installations. In recent years, I’ve opted to use thread to secure the braid down because so many clients are “allergic” to synthetic hair. Now we know what it really is.
Also, on a personal level, I’m one of the people who is severely irritated by synthetic hair. In past times I’ve had to go thru vigorous pre-washing and soaking with apple cider vinegar before I could wear braided extensions. Thank you so much for the better options you’ve provided! I’ve also been on a quest to only style my own hair without extensions.
Being part of the beauty industry for many years, I’ve always said and thought that there should be some type of Association for this industry (other than the general state regulations) to help better regulate products and practices. Just like our foods, we must be diligent in thoroughly researching, reading packages, labels and ingredients for our hair products!
This video was much needed. Thanks again!🙏🏾

@@christiepierce5984Just a question, why is their religion considered bad ? African people used to have different religions before colonization and the slaves were forced tortured and coerced to consider their own religion as "bad" because it was not Western. Are we doing the same to Indian people?
In the past I’ve often heard it being spoken about human hair having bad energy and negative effects on the psyche of people using it🤔
Good evening ma, where can I find rebundle
Soft curly hair suits our soft curvy bodies. Our natural hair suits us best❤
However, Black people notably the diaspora from West Africa do no have soft curly hair; that description is one for most Mixed race peoples of Black and White or Asian or Native and Black mixture. Real black hair is dry and not soft. It is what it is and not a bad thing!
@@celticmulato2609 This is inaccurate. West African hair textures are very diverse just as most of the Diaspora is in Africa.
@@celticmulato2609 I have 4C hair and I thought that soft curly hair described my hair. It has curls and it's soft :)
Ladies this is a series problem for many reasons. This reminds me of a scene from the movie The Untouchables...what are we prepared to do? Please be safe. I wish all of you peace and continued blessings. Be safe everyone❤😊
@@Lili-p1b5t u mean kinky hair; there is a difference. Nothing is wrong with kinky hair.
Black women need to stop using synthetic hair. Just have your own hair cornrowed. We, as consumers when we learn something is bad for us, we need to stop using the product. These companies do not care about peoples health. They only care about maximizing profits.
Some women have hair issues and no hair to cornrow
@Beefsectaweaknow Well there are scarves. And of course no one is talking about people with illness. Idk why yall get so defensive when it comes to this topic. Smdh
@BeefsectaweaknowWondering if its smart to then use toxic synthetic hair, thereby adding to that person's health issues.
Some people are ill and have hair loss. It’s not easy for them.
Human hair braids is ok I think that's what I'll get
We just can't catch a break. I had fibroids which resulted in me having a complete hysterectomy. I actually went natural before it became popular about 15 years ago. There weren't as many products available as there are now. It was very hard to find stylist who specialized in natural hair at that time as well. I have been relaxing my hair since my teens. I do wear weaves, extensions, braids and all of it since forever. I change up my hair on a very regular basis. I have always loved the different styles that relaxing my hair affords me. My hair is a different type of hair. There isn't an edge control and other products that will allow me to do what I can without relaxing, which is why I went back to relaxing my hair. It's absolutely frustrating, time consuming and down right embarrassing. Thank you for your extensive research and time sharing this information with us. I will start some type of research to see about going natural (help me Lord because the way this hair is set up. It's terrible.) Much love and admiration to you sistas that are thugging it out and working with your hair. 🙂
Good day which is the safest hair relaxer. Now on the market.
Please reply .
Amen! Thank you SO much for sharing this information!! I was being "impressed" to stop wearing extension but wasnt sure why.. "something"was telling me that something was not right.. I ran across you're video by "accident". This is confirmation.. Yes, I can't ignore this now. And you're right, I want to look good but not at the expense of my health. Goodbye synethic braids..! It makes me wonder if there is a connection with black woman and increase fibriods.. well, thank You Lord for Leading to light and when you know better its time to do better! Thanks for taking the time to enlightening our community! God Bless You!
Habiba, Thank You! I've been trying to educate people for years about Kanekalon Hair and heating the hair in hot water which is exactly what I did for over 2 decades. But it doesn't stop there. The entire market of beauty and haircare has been alllowed to cut corners and use products that are carcinogenic. Right now we have a Cancer crisis in this country particularly with black women. No one ever addresses the root causes of illness therfore pointing out these crimes against humanity becasue that's just what they are. I want every hair care professional to see this video. I look forward to more content of this sort.
Thank you for watching! I will definitely make an updated video to answer many of the questions raised and myths in response to this video .😅
As long as governments allow cigarettes business, there will be a lot of other toxic articles in circulation
It's so unfortunate that majority of us don't read this things 😢😢
Say you don't read. Medications has many side effects. Toxicity is all around us.
its not just "US" all modern population DO NOT READ..ask any lawyer who draft contracts between business +the public. THE DIFFERENCE IS MEDIA media brings the news to the public. BPA-free is an example of harmful chemical remove from plastic ..due to media - government -> consumer information.
the danger of BPA plastic was on your 5pm news, your glamour magazines, your social media post } = media.
but that information was already written up in Clinical Research papers.
modern society do read as the past population; but they did not have laptops, tablets, iphones etc. } books were their source for knowledge and entertainment. if they could google something in 1890 = they would be just like us now.
the truth is Black media reach is not that far.
Wait until you find out about the food you eat and lip glosses that you love.
As a kid I always hated the smell of fake hair..
As a licensed hairstylist braiding is offered as a secondary course that focus more on style rather than chemical make up of products used in braiding. The research is left up to the stylist to do and enforce.
Wow Doctor, I just got my hair braided and burnt ends yesterday! I had no idea this was so toxic to our systems but it explains a lot. I had endometriosis in the past and I’m really mad! 😡 I’m done with all these products back to the basics.
Since the beginning of creation Black peoples have adorned their hair in a multitude if ways. It is our innate culture. We have the most versatile hair of any culture. But, we must know that we can achieve the same beatification and adornment without sacrificing our lives. Thank you for bringing the message and with solutions.
Truth and well said
But if I don't look beautiful with my natural hair then what?:
May God help us , this days mostly everything we use is bad for us. Great info DR.
My thoughts exactly 😐
Hi Habiba! Thank you for sharing this valuable information. My Lord help us all! 🙏🏽 We've been blinded for so long. All for their profit. But God doesn't keep His children in the dark!
Yes he does and gets a kick out of it.
Yes, when I went to buy some hair for braiding a small voice said no for some many reasons. Wear/braid your natural your natural hair.
I pray this goes viral !
Me, too!
Help make this go viral.....very important hair care information
You are right on point . I stopped wearing them 2 years now,and I have no regrets. I use yarn to braid my hair, no problems with it!
Please what do you mean by yarn
I too use yarn. Praying that it is a lot safer than most.
What kind of yarn?
Chemical dyes and synthetic fibers too🤦♀️
Sorry to say, but I'm a knitter, and unless you're using a yarn that is 100% organic, natural fiber dyed with organic, natural dye, then your yarn has chemicals in it. If it's synthetic or superwash (which is coated in plastic), then it's definitely higher in toxins. Please look into it.
This is the first time I've been wearing my hair naturally, like longer than a week. Usually I'm wearing protective styles bc I just have no clue how to care for my 4C hair type. This may be weird, but ever since I have had my natural hair out, I can think more clearly, my mind doesn't feel so "clouded". Even though when I was younger I was afraid to wear my natural hair, now I feel so blessed to even have these beautiful curls. Honestly it was because I have been around so many light skin ladies who made me feel like I should never embrace my natural looks
I know exactly what you mean, Sis 😒
Your natural crown is more beautiful than you give it credit! It doesn’t take away, but adds to your beauty. The standard of beauty is not set by those who do not look at you. You were never suppose to look like and mimic them. Your head is supposed to breathe oxygen and have sunlight on it. It’s no wonder why black people are so deficient in Vitamin D!!
Time for new friends ❤
🫶🏽🫶🏽 completely inspired ‼️
You explained it perfectly by using “clouded.” I have to see the light about my true/real hair.
Only way I'll use extensions is if I wash them first. It amazes me how many folks use extensions (and clothes) without washing them first. If stylists refuse to allow me to bring my shampooed extensions, then I don't use their service, I'll just do the style myself!! Some braiders require you to purchase the hair they sale as a part of the service package, which I don't like. It should be optional.
Thank you 🙏🏽 my scalp hates synthetic hair and I keep trying but as a nurse I should know better when my body is speaking and yet I ignored it. I am going to throw it all away and my stash looks like a hair store. Trashing it today ❤
Trust me I understand! As a doctor I felt bad not knowing this information sooner and ignoring my instincts when ever I dipped synthetic hair in hot water and thought 💭 this smell can’t be good 😩
It pains me to discard all that hair I have purchased but I am truly done.
I wish there was a list or honest resource sharing hair vendors selling safe hair alternatives and ethically collected human hair 🤔
@@Kenton-Habiba Does soaking the synthetic hair in vinegar remove the harmful toxins ?
Why didn't i see this video before i went on a hair binge preparing for all of these summer crochet styles 😩 I just brought more hair yesterday and u know the stores dont accept returns 😩@Kenton-Habiba

And now you’re polluting the environment with plastic that will never degrade and can’t be recycled lol
Thank you so much for enlightening us!!! My attic is FILLED with synthetic hair that I have stockpiled over the years. I will throw these out TODAY! Those fumes are filling my house no more. Also gave up the creamy crack over 10 years ago.🥰
3 contractor bags out to the trash!
Bravo!👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾👍🏾
We forget everything is spiritual and this is really a warning from the Most High. We must not be ignorant of Satan's devices. Demons attach to objects including weaves. You become manipulated with these attachments along with higher potential for physical ailment.
So so true.
Absolutely!!!! 💯
Including Spiritual attachments on HUMAN HAIR... whomever's HEAD IT COMES FROM.... ALIVE or DECEASED! 😮
Dedicated as a sacrifice to demons, in temples etc.
Think about it Re: HUMAN HAIR..... whose head did the hair belong to and what are you transferring to your spirit...?
Ever hear of that story of a woman who bought a wig and the stench of it filled her entire home?! She cleaned her whole house trying to figure out what it is until she discovered it was the wig. Then she immediately threw it out.
this sounds like spiritual psychosis.
This is so true I stopped use this hair and my skin is better as soon as I add it my skin flares up. Thank also for the alternative ❤
The body is a constant 98° so it is a small but constant heating source especially at night when hair is tied up and or if you sweat at night.
I was thinking about the wool as a different option. I’ve used it before. I think that that’s why I am suffering from uterine fibroids and hair loss. Because of the relaxers and the synthetic hair. I stopped relaxers years ago. But the damage has already been done. The young lady that is on the second slide with the blonde braids hers is synthetic. I saw her video and went out and bought about 6 packs of synthetic hair she used. Because I loved the style so much lol. But this is horrible how they are using these chemicals to make this stuff. And a lot of times they know that it’s bad. But they do not care. We are always targeted as African Americans. Thanks for the informative video.
Thank you for watching and sharing your perspective!
blk women & girls, in general are targeted & not just blk americans…😢
Thank you for this valuable information. I've been natural for over 20 years. When I started getting my hair braided years ago, I bought human hair which got so expensive. I had my hair braided once by someone who used synthetic and I broke out on the back of neck. I immediately took them out as my scalp was itchy and inflamed. I wish people would stop using synthetic hair and embrace their own beautiful hair God gave them.
Hair is SACRED. Our ancestors' DNA is in our hair. We need to keep it sacred.
AMEN AMEN AMEN AMEN AMEN 🎉
How?
Forget ancestors. God hand picked us and fingerprinted us. HE Knows every head on our heads. Ancestors are dead and gone. We worship Jesus, not them! He rose from the grave, and they didn't. They know nothing of what's going on today. Love the hair He gave you 🙏🏽

I have never worn a wig in my whole life & was considering of buying one. Now, I don't want to do that!
Thank you, Habiba!
Thanks I shared on fb. Was about to buy the hair. Education should start in the primary schools about beauty and safety. Great job. I'm changing.
I'm thankful that I never had a desire to use extensions.
Neither me.
As u stated, they dont care!! Esp since the majority of the consumers are BLACK. There, i said it. Thanks for this info.
Legislation may change now that you have more white women wearing braids
Dr Habiba thanks for educating the public again . I've been hearing that there's a sharp increase in cancer and it has been affecting very young people especially women. I'm a middle age woman. I've stopped using chemicals in my hair since 2019. I've gone natural since 2019. Thanks again. That's all DOCUMENTED FACTUAL INFORMATION
Appreciate you watching and for your comment! ☺️
Ive shared this so many times thank you so much! God bless you and may he curse those that curse you ! ❤
I had no idea how bad KANEKALON & POLYPROPYLENE and as a ADULT TOY COLLECTOR I own many dolls with kanekalon and polypropylene hair fibers and there’s MANY DOLL LINES that are still PRODUCED with polypropylene I know they discontinued kanekalon on Barbie and other Mattel dolls in 2016 but they replaced that fiber with polypropylene and it’s TOO MANY doll brands that are still produced with polypropylene I’d hope replace polypropylene with NYLON (that’s my final input)
Dam shame that they are hurting us in every way they can 😡😤
It’s not personal - it’s business.
The shame falls on us for not being diligent, and also, for being vain followers of beauty standards outside of our own.
That's the agenda
Who is they
Be fr bruh
What ever they do, black people cannot be eradicated, but be wise and change so many of these stuffs in your life. How about everyone stop buying these things to stop them from using all these toxic because am sure there are good stuffs out there.
It's not the licensing that's the problem. It's the school's . They are very bias towards braiders. And this needs to be on the news. Because people think youtube has fake information.
YOU HIT THE NAIL ON THE HEAD !!! PEOPLE CAN'T RECOGNIZE TRUTHS FROM UTUBE!!!!
Mainstream news is fake.
I recently took down a crochet style that I’d only had for a few days. The itching and burning on my scalp could not be ignored. Thank you so much for caring and sharing this information!
Same here, it was a synthetic weave, my head was itching so bad.
What crochet hair did you use.

Good information. Toxicity everywhere even chemicals used in making fabrics.
Cotton is the best fabric for clothing, IMO.

Thank you. I was considering purchasing hair tomorrow and I stumbled across this video post. I feel rescued by this important information. Wow‼️ Extremely helpful and timely. I be shared with my family and I pray more women come into this knowledge. Again thanks ❤️
I have said this since 1985 when I got my hair twisted back then flat twist were the in style in Harlem but I ended up losing a lot of hair when I took it out. It cut my hair, now I see women patting their head and I said it’s the chemicals that is burning the scalp
Oh My! I remember traveling from Queens to Billie Jeans Uptown in '85 to get my hair braided. Those were the good 'ole days.
This is heartbreaking news because like many of you I love braids. I ignorantly thought braiding was better than wigs since you know the scalp can still breathe, my my my how wrong I was.
I also want to encourage the black community that this is a great business opportunity for a black owned business to produce anti-toxic, non allergic hair for us to continue to wear our styles.
So far ezbraids and wool can be used as alternatives;) Hope that helps…
I encourage my people to go natural and use diy hair masks to grow our gorgeous afro hair. I used extensions for decades and decided to stop 4 years ago, because I became more connected to Nature ; I thought that I couldn't continue using all this plastic on my hair and trash Mother Gaia. Thanks doctor for the teaching.

This is great info! Thanks for sharing!!! Keep posting more informative information!
I thank you for the insight as I think it’s extremely important to call out. I would also like to add that 90% of the things we eat, wear, drink, etc are toxic in countries like America and other European countries. If ladies you are eating McDonalds or most fast foods that’s worse than the chemicals in synthetic hair for your body. We should look at EVERYTHING we are putting on and in our body while also understanding that it’s extremely challenging (not impossible) to not be exposed to chemicals if you live in America and other countries with similar regulations and policies.
