I guess Im asking the wrong place but does anybody know a tool to get back into an instagram account?? I stupidly lost my password. I would appreciate any help you can offer me
Love your videos and all the great information! I just "discovered" you last week. I'm the dispatcher and my husband is the driver. We've only been doing this a couple months. He hauled cars with a 9 car trailer for someone else but wasn't making much at all, so now we have a 3 car wedge and so far, so good, but there are days we would both like to beat our heads against a wall, lol. I'm a "self taught dispatcher", so I'm loving that I found you! Thanks so much and keep up the great work! Now I'm off to binge watch your videos!
hey my husband and i just started a hot shot buisness hauling cars he will be diving I'm the one who will be doinh the dispatching, have no idea where to start any suggestions would be greatly appreciated. my email address is cpacolli_22@yahoo.com. thank you so much
Greetings from Venezuela!! i'm trying to joint for a car transport company and this vídeo was so helpful. You are a great professional. My regards/Jag.
40-45 c per mile now per car with dispatch % Insurance fuel taxes maintenance Is getting terrible You need a 6 car trailer minimum to be just OKAY. Right now those wedge trailer dont make any money anymore Used to love the 3-4 car wedge on the ram 500. CA to AZ load was like $400 a car Now its like $200 with more cost
Hey it is a nice video. I am a new dispatcher as well from overseas. Yes :) even though my office is 6700 miles away from USA, I am trying my best to get it all together. Like you suggested I always try to talk to brokers more but sometimes they don't simply want to discuss further. it baffles me sometimes. I don't know maybe being a different culture member I might have been failing to understand the real problem. Anyway I always try to follow your tips. thanks for doing this. Will wait more amazing videos.
Thanks for watching! Be sure to watch my entire Dispatcher Training Series: th-cam.com/video/c6Q5JYFtYNI/w-d-xo.html And don't be discouraged if people cut your questions short. Everyone in logistics is overloaded with tasks to accomplish. Some people simply don't have time to talk.
Thank you, Mike! Hopefully you never find yourself in this stressful dispatch situation. But knowing how dispatching works, you most likely eventually will...
I use central dispatch to have my vehicles delivered to my dealership. Many times the date that I am told I will have the vehicle delivered ends up being delayed. The excuse every time is that the truck broke down... Can you tell me if this is a lying tactic bc they were actually waiting for another load and not that truck broke down? By the way I understand the trucks break down but it is the excuse every time.
Thanks for the question. Trucks break down all the time, but oftentimes a low transport rate can attract a lot of excuses and delays. However, if you're paying a better than average rate and still not getting what you pay for, it's time to switch up the way you find transportation. Please consider joining us for a Cars On The Move - Monthly Roundtable: autoconversion.net/blog/acwebinars/cars-on-the-move-roundtable/ or visit: www.ctsbusinesscoaching.com/ to learn more. Thanks.
Thanks for the question, Eric. COD is generally paid by the person or company at the delivery location -- and you want to speak to them BEFORE you unload and deliver. Since this is business, it's professional, but not negotiable. Many carriers won't release a car in the event the COD is not ready at time of delivery. And personal checks are not acceptable, but that's at the carrier's risk and discretion. I hope that helps.
Yes. However, many brokers might suggest "it's your responsibility" or "easy-peasy" or something else during booking, so go ahead and make those phone calls to verify COD after you book the load instead of waiting until you get there to find out something different. And just because you're calling to verify COD doesn't mean you're entering into a bunch of promises and guarantees. This is just about payment. Always be a detective and CYA.
Technically...Yes. But I highly recommend that you plan to obtain a CDL and begin working towards taking (and passing) your CDL test. And be sure to test on equipment similar to what you'll be using. And for more CDL advice, I encourage you to join the live chat during my Tuesday nights show. And don't forget to read my 20 Steps To Start Car Hauling: www.autotransportintel.com/car-hauling-dispatcher/how-to-start-new-auto-transport-business/ And thanks for the question.
Hello Mr. J Im almost ready to start my car carrier company. 5 car trailer. I looking to work between MD my base state and go around of the state of PA, WV, VA, NC, NJ, NY. how can start with you.?
Thanks for nice comment, Luis. While I don't personally dispatch anymore, I can help you with a good referral. I also recommend a CTS Transport Business Coaching session with Ty Thompson. If interested, please send your contact info to autotransportintel at gmail dot com.
Hopefully a broker will help me with this reply, but my understanding it is by the load, and usually at a flat fee or approximate percentage. I know at least one broker that always keeps at least $200 of whatever the shipper is paying. But it's not entirely uncommon to find a shipper paying $1000 to move a vehicle and the broker is keeping $400. That's 40%! So it's best to always assume the broker is looking to keep 20-40% of the shipper price. 10% is not as common, and 15% might be viewed as much more fair. I hope that helps.
When a load is posted too cheap and it's sitting there, I call it and ask for more money, they tell me they can't pay more money, I give them my information, then they raise the money, they don't call me back or answer the phone, and then it's gone. I woke them up, but they had too much pride to let me book it.
That depends on the broker, but for most of them the answer is no. However, after you first sign up, ask for a positive review from every company you haul for. Thanks for the question and I hope that helps.
True. While it's never too early to start a search, it sucks to see loads that you can't book because you're not going to be picking up soon enough - according to the shipper.
Yes, there is: th-cam.com/play/PL9Iq3gMukvmxsO0EAIgEXOrR5zm--G21r.html Plus, tune in on Thursdays to ask questions in the live chat: th-cam.com/video/JjGleSynMDw/w-d-xo.html
It can be good, but competitive. My recommendation would be to schedule a 1-hour Transport Business Coaching session with me and my partner Ty to discuss best ways to get your own customers instead of thinking you can live off the load boards. Visit CTS Business Coaching dot com and thanks for the question.
Great question! It depends on the broker software, but on Central Dispatch, it's in the middle of the dispatch sheet near the top. Here's a video to help you: th-cam.com/video/7wRckMVS-9c/w-d-xo.html Note: when looking at the central dispatch load board (before dispatch), it's also called the Reference ID. Please join us Thursdays for more advice on Dispatching LIVE! th-cam.com/play/PL9Iq3gMukvmzoSCIbSWHtsaD2xUItYZGG.html I hope this helps you.
1) an ambiguous vehicle cluster load regularly posted on Central Dispatch auto transport load board by an auto transport broker that clearly knows the specific year, make and model of each and every vehicle they post but for some reason doesn't want you to know it unless you put in the time to call their dispatch department or spend the time to go to their website and login (allegedly), 2) a soft, chocolate candy bar mush type trail mix popular among car haulers.
Correct. When you're the dispatcher staring at the load boards and there's nothing else, it's time to talk to the driver and deliver the bad news. Let the trucking company owners make that decision - hoping they agree.

Ironic, i got one that belongs to a friend of mine in ottawa kansas going to perrysburg ohio. ready to pick up.
Is there any software that you can use to map all of the pickup/delivery points by load/vehicle? Carshipio kinda sucks..
That is ironic!
That's a really good question. DispatchMonkey.com might work for that.
I guess Im asking the wrong place but does anybody know a tool to get back into an instagram account??

Thank you! I'm glad I made it - because I was very concerned at the time.
Hey Jay, after a hauler delivers a car to its destination who do we go and see about the COD check and what would be the proper way to ask?
Thanks for the question, Eric. COD is generally paid by the person or company at the delivery location -- and you want to speak to them BEFORE you unload and deliver. Auto Transport Intel ok thanks so should I ask for a company check or just ask for cash when I am booking the load
Yes. However, many brokers might suggest "it's your responsibility" or "easy-peasy" or something else during booking, so go ahead and make those phone calls to verify COD after you book the load instead of waiting until you get there to find out something different. Can I star a hauling car bunisses with out a CDL???

What is waking up a load?
When a load is posted too cheap and it's sitting there, I call it and ask for more money, they tell me they can't pay more money, I give them my information, then they raise the money, they don't call me back or answer the phone, and then it's gone. Need a dispatcher ....Really love the video ...just sent you an email
Hi, I'm a dispatcher, can I get your phone?
Do you need a certain amount of ratings to book loads from central dispatch
That depends on the broker, but for most of them the answer is no. However, after you first sign up, ask for a positive review from every company you haul for. Thanks for the question and I hope that helps.
I would start my map search smaller
True. While it's never too early to start a search, it sucks to see loads that you can't book because you're not going to be picking up soon enough - according to the shipper.
Cool video
Thanks, Yuri. Always a pleasure to hear from you.

Auto Transport Intel thank you... I’m in the new page and it appears like reference ID and I got confused thinking it was something else.. thank you..
OK, perfect.
What is a mix mix
1) an ambiguous vehicle cluster load regularly posted on Central Dispatch auto transport load board by an auto transport broker that clearly knows the specific year, make and model of each and every vehicle they post but for some reason doesn't want you to know it unless you put in the time to call their dispatch department or spend the time to go to their website and login (allegedly), 2) a soft, chocolate candy bar mush type trail mix popular among car haulers.
.40 cents? Say no to cheap freight!
Correct. When you're the dispatcher staring at the load boards and there's nothing else, it's time to talk to the driver and deliver the bad news. Let the trucking company owners make that decision - hoping they agree.
I need to ax you a question how can I reach you ?
Please send me an email with your contact info to autotransportintel at gmail dot com. Thanks.
