There was a reason to every decision you made that had me thinking "I would have gone for that other pile of snow next" Mad props to you for your skills and dedication, and thank you for sharing this!

I literally kept watching like "oh, thats nice, he's pushing the bank back"....then "oh, thats nice, he's really getting those banks moved for him"...then "Damn, he's done the whole driveway for him..." REALLY nice to see someone willing to risk some machinery damage and spend a buck or two helping a neighbor.

@@puntacanaman1 We don't get much snow but our local guy pulled off all the reflectors in the middle of the roadway separating the two lanes and that were attached to the new surface of road. We saw those in action for nearly 5 months before they were gone for good. They were replaced once and he or someone else did it again. No more reflectors after that.

It shows how one can make a lot of different decisions to improve efficiency and reduce the amount of passes to finish the job. There are many people who couldn't move half as much snow with a much more complex blade!
Without the hard working highly skilled men and women who did this difficult job, no delivery of goods, supplies, food, medicines, etc that fill our stores and homes is possible. These fine Americans are unsung HEROES in my book! 🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸
Wow! I can't believe I watched the entire video. It has all of the ingredients that made it into a great movie from the beginning to the end. Characteristics of a good movie consists of the introduction, the plot, the mystery(will it ever get done) , the villain(snow), the hero(wheel loader), the climax and it even had sexuality(the heavy machinery). This has all of the makings to keep you glued to your seat. I wouldn't be surprised if this didn't come to a local theatre near you. Lol!!!
Who ever put all those markers down the center of the road should have to replace them after the plow driver mows them over EVERY TIME! What a bad layout - but you made it look easy and showed your professional skills!!! And extra props for helping out the little guy on the ATV/Tractor!

Around 36:50 , the driver gets out of the plow and uses a shovel around the gate. That is an amazement ! and a Wonderful thing to do. I've never seen that before.
Nice loader, nice plough. I've now seen this trackage area ploughed during daylight and night time hours, back and fourth past the long offices up the hill to the main road, then back down. I live in the south eastern part of the USA. It is a place where we MAY get snow for half a day, one or two days out of the year, unless there is a very rare freak winter storm that year. While I think our Spring and Autumn is the best there is available, I can attest that, in fact, Winter without snow *is* very dull. As for the science, yeah, there is likely a scientific explanation as to why you (and I) find this to be satisfying and relaxing. Not that I know what that explanation is, mind you, but I'm sure the fields of psychology and anthropology have it covered, at least to some degree.

When I lived in Snow country I always thought it would be fun to run a plow. Watched this entirely and still think it would be fun. Not for free but it would be fun. It's not like you have snow 365 days. I seems he is enjoying doing this. I figure because he is doing a thorough job.
The driver obviously new the lay of the land before hand. The plow is fast for early snow falls but it gets more and more difficult as the piles grow higher and freeze. I switched to an 8ft blower for the 1 mile of mountain road I have to keep clear. It's slower but there are now snow banks left.

I've been in the wrong line of work my entire life after watching this. It's so lovely to watch and to appreciate.

I used to do this for living with a 12 foot swing plow and a wing. Great fun and i got paid too.

Dream Job 100% with this machine. Less of a dream job is my 5 mile driveway with a 60 Hp tractor and blower .. and no cab.

I did this at a ski hill one winter. Loved the job but wish it paid more.
