I’m 21 and this is the reason I only listen to music between the 60’s-80’s, pure talent, he’s not lip syncing and he sounds just like the studio version, same with CCR and all those older bands, they didn’t need loads of editing software to sound good
you all probably dont give a damn but does anybody know a trick to log back into an Instagram account?
I somehow forgot my login password. I love any assistance you can give me
I think you are right but you have to realize that trying to sound like the studio version is not always what a musician is trying to achieve. My piano teacher who played with Sinatra, Duke Ellington etc. told me if you play the same tune the same way every night on the road you will become bored. Now this is probably not true for all musicians, but for guys like Jeff who are Jazz babies, they what to challenge themselves. My teacher told me for example, Charlie Mingus would sometimes stop and tell his compatriots, hey I've heard that line before. cut out the BS. Now this is a relative concept. Beethoven from what I have read , thought his highest art form was his spontaneous improvising.
...I 'm 58 and I feel so too...
Good for you, bro! And you are right. I agree w/ Dufasaur, though, The point is perhaps not so much to sound alike on record and on stage. But to have music that carries w/o heavy editing, overdubbing, playback. (An excellent example for that: SRV!) Keep enjoying real music! (Klaus, 62)
You have good taste, sir! Art died somewhere between the 1990s and 2000s.
I come back to hear Jeff sing this often when I'm down. Always makes me feel better.....RIP Jeff, Hope to see you playing in Heaven when my day comes. Hugs from Florida
me too
This man belongs in the rock n roll hall of fame. I truly believe it. Such a beautiful talent gone too soon.
Who cares! it a sham organization, would you want to be fellow members with some of the people in there….no thank you
I feel privileged to have seen Jeff perform live on two occasions. He played Angel Eyes both times, once at the request of the audience. Exceptional guitarist and talent. Sorely missed. RIP
Seen play house of blues Chicago
He was truly a Canadian Idol.
How was it?? He's so dam talented
So am I
Me also
This was our wedding song in 1990. Love his voice and music. Miss him.
N.T. ?
Me too! 1992. Are you still married?
@@marielevine7757 yes we are.
I hope and wish that all these musicians who passed away to the other side are able and allowed to play their wonderful music in heaven!!!!!!!
One of the Prettiest Songs Ever Written.......RIP Jeff
written by John Hiatt but Jeff Healey really put his soul into it.
I agree.
I remember in 1987 ish I had the pleasure of watching Jeff play at the old Commodore in Vancouver BC and after an amazing performance he exited the stage past where I was sitting and I had the opportunity to meet him and express how blown away I was by his performance. I remember what a super nice guy he was and how very sincere and genuine a soul he was and is.
Jeff Healey..... A fellow Canadian. The Greatest. Period.
Everyone thinks hes American. We win again.
Think again!Toronto boy born and raised! You lose!
Though I'm not Canadian I'd like to honor whom I think is Canada's greatest singer, songwriter performer etc. Tom Cochrane.
This was(is) our wedding song in 89..
It was my Girls song, Darlyanna
Best thing Canada has ever created
He was one of the most unusual and extraordinary musicians I’ve ever heard I’m still baffled by how he played the guitar just amazing. RIP Jeff.🥀
My buddy and I used to go to this old pool hall when we were in our late teens. They had a jukebox and I used to play this song every time I was there. I didn’t know who Jeff Healey was, but I knew I loved this song. It bring back good memories of my youth!
That song, that voice gets me every time. Thank you JEFF.
R.I.P JEFF HEALEY

Agreed!
You can drown in that glorious deep voice, gives me chills ………
Damn! I just realized I was at that concert. Had a girlfriend in Munich at the time. We went to that concert.
TH-cam is incredible. Thanks for the upload!
That single was one of the most significant songs of my long life.
One of my favorite memories in my life revolves around my ex wife and this song and a pizza hut.
The pizza hut is now a used car lot and we both have teenage children.
But for that moment we were each others world. R.I.P. Mr Healy, you are a part of one of my favorite memories of my life.
Hi there mate from Qld Australia I know what you are saying so true anyway have a great weekend.
Holy shit! This was Jeff Healey? Mind blown! This took me 30 years to figure out?!
Gone 2 Early. Loved him in RoadHouse. Both gone 2 soon. :-/
Yes. Him and Patrick Swayze..Rip..
A true master and legend!
I think he should be in the rock roll hall of fame he was great rest on peace man
You’re right. Jeff doesn’t rest IN peace…he rests ON peace.
I’m going to use that.
I have always loved this song but didn't find out that he was blind until this year! I'm even more impressed now!!
Always loved Jeff's cameo in Road House, and unique tone on guitar.
So AMAZING. What a voice this man had. RIP to a true entertainer.
Absolutely beautiful. RIP, Mr. Healey.
Guy lived every second! Amazing.
Taken too quickly from us all. 😢 RIP, Jeff!!!
Classic! RIP Jeff! Miss you!
Absolutely fantastic! Thank God for Jeff’s music!
As beautiful as his soul and music are it just makes me sad the world is not as beautiful without people like him to inspire us anymore...instead people look to Kurt Cobain, I nihilistic, cynical addict who really didn't write not one beautiful song. Elliot Smith was the last of the great beautiful poets. RIP Jeff and Elliot.
He had an amazing voice. RIP Jeff Healey !!
What I really like about this song is it highlights his great voice.
This song is a very special to me It say's so much and it touche's the heart and with Jeff being blind he has so much talent and he didn't let it hold him back he is a true inspiration for anyone who has a dream if you want it bad enough you can have it shoot for the star's it's sad that he is no longer with us but I know the Angel's in the heaven are singing because they have one of the greatest voice's of all time R.I.P. Jeff Healey
Etobicoke born and raised. Seen him once. Blown away.
You've got that perfectly right....the Angels get to enjoy him now....no doubt about it. Keep the Faith
Thank you Jeff....that voice baby... Play on play on!!!!
I love when Jeff "woahs" buddies backup vocals!!! i laughed!! r.i.p legend!!!!
Kennen gelehrt mit 7 Jahren. Jetzt mit 57, immer noch gut. THX Jeff
What an amazing musician. Incredible guitarist, vocalist, and jazz trumpeter! So sorely missed. Rest in the deepest peace Jeff!
Just found this video. I've always loved this song. Beautiful music from a beautiful man.

Such a Great artist ....THE MOST BEAUTIFUL SONG EVER WRITTEN...❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
Jeff you were one of my favorites. RIP my friend.
I have loved this song since the first time I heard it!
Imagine how strong of a passion he had for playing the guitar. To be so familiar with each fret and string to be able to learn it and play it blind. What an interesting man he was!
Exactly
It's a damn shame the world lost Jeff so soon, but we're lucky to be able to binge his videos on TH-cam. RIP

This song gives me the goosebumps
Same here same!
Love you Jeff
I have been in this wonderful concert and I remember the feeling inside the house of circus krone. I also remember that sometimes the loudness and power of the jeff healey band was too much for my ears.
Thank you very much for your comment. Jeff ´s music will always be in my heart and soul and i will hear it as long as i am living on mother earth. I hope jimi and jeff and all the other known musicians are often jamming together in heaven.
Canadian Jimi hendrix . Very under appreciated by the whole industry. His voice ans guitar playing is unreal

The song that always makes me so emotional. This beautiful ballad came out just as the beautiful love of my life broke off our engagement in Toronto where Jeff lived and I was destroyed. I saw him perform and the emotion he brought out in all people was incredible.

@@JeffHealeyOfficialafter posting that I just saw a video about his legacy and I think that's just amazing he persevered through his struggles. It's hard to call him one in a million. This man is truly one of a kind. Absolutely heartwarming I must say.
Absolutely love singing this song! What a talent!!! In case others didn't know, he's completely blind and had both of his eyes surgically removed at the age of 1. This is why when he first started playing guitar at age 3, he developed a really unique & unconventional way of playing on his lap. Such a great story, he will be missed...
My bad I thought he was 3..
Hi Chris. Actually, his blindness had nothing to do with it. At the age of 3, Jeff was given his first guitar for Christmas. Jeff's dad knew some 'Hawaiian style' (similar to a lap steel) so he set up the guitar with a high action and gave Jeff an iron bar slide to play with. He was still too small to hold the guitar, so they set it on the bed and Jeff banged away at it standing up. In Jeff's words, after a few years of 'torturing his parents with strange noises' he started trying to figure out how to play what he was hearing on records. They moved the action down to a more manageable height and Jeff started working out chords and such. He was already used to the guitar being flat, so that's how he continued... ~Rog
Man, what a voice
Reminds me of you, Dan--I miss you. Xox

Amazing
I can’t get this song out of my head.
Such a talented and gifted musician/entertainer who is truly missed. This is my favorite song along with all of the music he performed on Roadhouse. When I watched Roadhouse that was my first time hearing his music and I enjoyed his performance in the movie also.
Unreal the skills of this man is not recognized more in the world of music.. Blind man with SRV licks and the voice of a deep voice God.. So sad Miss ya buddy..
For me this is a beast version ever.. Jeff you are my idol forever. 💪
Excellent!!!
Dude was something else... gone too soon... my girl and I have been going through it and I heard this shopping and it put everything in perspective 😌 🙌
Uno de mis 10 mejores guitarristas de la historia sin discusión. El virtuoso rubio canadiense está en el panteón supremo de los DIVINOS ELEGIDOS para las 6 cuerdas electrificadas.
Awsome 😵
One of the 80's/90's BEST Pioneers in great, feel good tunes.
Perfect.
