Great victory by Gonzaga. They played liked the elite team that they are. However, SDSU was severely depleted and played mostly with sophomores and freshman. Zags could not put them away like they did Baylor. The game still felt competitive and it was a good benchmark for SDSU. The feeling was that SDSU was overmatched this team but still able to compete. When SDSU played UCONN it felt that we did not even belong on the same court and felt dominated. I believe that SDSU is capable of beating Gonzaga if they are fully healthy. This will be a great Pac12 rivalry. SDSU was paid back for the game against Gonzaga last year in Spokane. We will be back but I am grateful that we were able to compete with Gonzaga with a much less experienced team.
