Anyone can do it. It is about knowing yourself through dhyaan i.e. concentration. Every popular personality in any feild, an actor, or a sports player do maditation to overcome his mental weakness.
Attaining salvation is the ultimate aim of maditation.
Although there are various steps to cross the level of dhyaan. The more you practice, more you feel yourself confident, comfortable and within yourself. Maditation is one of the greatest gifts given by Hinduism to the entire humanity.
Our God lord Shiva is always in maditation or dhyaan. In other words this is the blessings of Shivji to the entire universe.
