    Hi, Nice video, You mentioned about the glue but no mention or detials about the glue, plus I am trying to order through Amazon the "Sunnyscopa Waterslide Decal Paper for LASER Printer - CLEAR, US LETTER SIZE 8.5"X11", 10 SHEETS, STANDARD - Personalized Water Slide Transfer - DIY Custom Printable Water-Slide Decals", no mention of the Type of paper. SO missing lots of details. Any help on this would be appreciated.

    hi, thanks for sharing this video, but any possibility to put it on plastic surface like PLA material ? and may I know the dryer is blowing hot or cold air ? as I don't think the PLA can melt with hot air.

      Hello. That's a good question. There are two types of Film-Free Decal Paper: B type and Multi-use one. Yes, you can put Film-free Decal Paper to PLA material. If you use the B type you don't need to use a hairdryer or oven. If you have any other questions feel free to ask. Thank you.

    Hello I bought this product but when I try to apply the paper after watering it and attempt to slide off the back paper, it doesn't slide off. It just pulls the image with it and slides the whole thing on the glue.
    I need a decal type that works on a highly glossy metalized plastic flexible surface like you find in chip bags or candy bar packs. The technical term for the material is PET- met film

The instructions say to put this in the oven at the end which will not be possible as the plaque may be damaged by overdrying and heat. Is it possible to skip this step? How permanent would this be in that case (I would like this to last decades, or a century!)

    • @SUNNYSCOPA

      Hello,
      Yes, there are some printers that will overheat when you are printing our papers. The most common ones are some Samsung models but so far we have not had any problems with the HP printers. Certain printers are not compatible with our papers at all and you can find the list on our website and Amazon page.
      Hopefully this answers your question.

    I am having problems getting the ink to stick to the cup. I am following all of the directions perfectly. After blow drying, the image comes away from the cup with the clear backing. Please post any tips that you may have for people having this problem.

    • @SUNNYSCOPA
      @SUNNYSCOPA  5 ปีที่แล้ว

      Hi, Cheryl
      Try blow drying longer at higher temperature. Other than that, the air bubbles and moisture might have to be scraped off more with a squeegee. Also, make sure that the cup has cooled down before removing the final film.
      Kind regards,
      Jimmy

    • @SUNNYSCOPA
      @SUNNYSCOPA  5 ปีที่แล้ว

      Hi, Cheryl
      Actually that could be one of the few things.
      Any moisture or air bubbles trapped underneath the film will hinder the transfer process so the ink will come off. So squeegee until the film is smooth to touch and flat. Also, the curing is important especially with the temperature and duration. Don't just use our recommended values because they could change depending on the substrates used. You have to find the right values for yourself, sometimes it takes trial and error.

    • @SUNNYSCOPA
      @SUNNYSCOPA  4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Hi, Rachel
      That is a very good question actually. The product won't exude any fumes during the baking, so you can bake in the kitchen oven. The baking just solidifies the ink, there is no chemical reaction or anything like that.

      The Type A is for glossy, hard surfaces; ceramics, glass, metals. The Type B, on the other hand is reserved for porous or soft surfaces; leather, wood, stone. You have to apply heat for the type A whereas this extra step is not required for the Type B.
      Yes, they are dishwasher safe.
      However do not leave the products in dishwasher for too long as the films can get worn out.

    Are they as durable as classic screen printed decals with firing??

    • @SUNNYSCOPA
      @SUNNYSCOPA  5 ปีที่แล้ว

      Hello Manpreet,
      Before I get into that, you have to understand that it is a different style of printing. Screen printing method uses ceramic colours and bake at very high temperatures over 800C. Whereas the baking temperature is only 150-200C here so screen printing is more durable. Our product is designed more for DIY, on-the-spot craft.

    Hi everyone, can I get some help? :/ I am having massive printing issues. My printer leaves scratch marks all the time and sometimes the print is totally unusable. My printer back feed uses wheels that make contact with the ink on the paper and leave marks, and my front feed keeps bumping into curved or elevated surfaces on the paper, scratching the ink. Does anyone know how this can be solved?
    Many thanks in advance :)

    How would I use this product on plastic scale models, is heat essential or just water removal

    • @SUNNYSCOPA
      @SUNNYSCOPA  6 ปีที่แล้ว

      That depends on the type of plastic used. Generally plastics cannot withstand firing over 200C so I would go for the B type, which doesn't require heat. You do need to remove water for the B type as well. Please note that the B type, however can leave a small glue residue on the surface.

      Hi, Suji
      From a manufacturer's point of view, we take quality and customer care related issues very seriously. Thank you for letting us know, as these constructive feedbacks help us improve in long run.
      One way to improve adherence is to increase the temperature of heat curing. How does the ink look like after printing? If the ink is not vivid enough, you might have to cure it at temperatures as high as 300F for 10 minutes. That is for the first heat application.
      Please let me know if you still have issues after changing the temperature. I would prefer direct messages which tend to be preferred method for issues like these.

      We just invented a new type of Film-Free, called Multi-use, that doesn't require curing.
      You can use it on canldes and dry naturally before removing the film.
