The trifecta of these guys' personalities, creativity, and work ethic is what will keep Kinda Funny on the rise for a long time. Kudos to each of you. Keep up the great content and fresh ideas.
This was a really nice episode, in terms of hearing the difficulty of balancing hard work and time to be in this business, and Nick has some great comments
That was one of the better topics in a while. Please do breakups, falling in love, girlfriends, marriage, etc in the future as topics. Would love to hear the stories and inputs on those types of things.
Personally I think the amount of content that kinda funny puts out right now. It's just enough you can still keep up with it and be left wanting a little more. I would rather be wanting a bit more content than be getting a lot of it and being tired of it. Great topic👍 P.s. It'd be hard to get tired of these guys lol
Great topic guys, good to hear your insight on it. I have been having problems with sleep deprivation for the last couple of years and I'm trying to get a proper sleep schedule and its pretty hard
Three really good and unique topics in a row this episode!! I'm glad, part of me was growing tired of all the topics about food and video games and movies
First day I had wwf smack-down on the ps1 I stayed up all night on a high school night and went to school falling asleep on the bus on the way there...fell a slept a lot that day was so hard. Don't stop a conversation with Colin everyone loves it give the people more of what they want lol Keep the good work up guys I was happy when all 4 of you left ign, I like ign but the game over greggy show I preferred for the personalities n stuff except they didn't talk about games much but now boom GameCast!!! Love it!!
I was in Nepal trekking and on the last night there I got no sleep. The next day I flew to Bangkok and I got no sleep there because the buffet breakfast started at 3am in my hotel so I stayed up to eat. So the next day my group did a tour of Bangkok, then flew overnight back home to Sydney. On the plane I got no sleep as well. Then back in Sydney I stayed up all night unpacking my stuff and talking to people about the trip. Finally, on that day around 2pm I fell asleep. 3 countries with no sleep. I think I was awake for over 110 hours.. yeesh
You should probably try and beat the world record for longest gaming session/staying awake, I would love to see any of you guys that thinks they can go for 4-5 full days 24/7, seriously it'd be an epic series, personally I'd do it in a heartbeat and I'd go with Skyrim or Fallout NV since the games last a long time and it's not hard to let yourself get sucked into it.
I mean the reason people don't stay up or large amounts of time is that it can really damage your heart if you stay up that long so I don't think they should but it wold be cool to see
Unhealthy and Stupid? Goddamn yes, Awesome and Epic? Also yes. I'm not saying they should risk hurting themselves but man I'd do it and I'd love to see them try and go as long as possible, I mean if each of them started on their favorite game and just live streamed all at once until they have a last man standing, I think it'd be amazing to watch each of them lose their minds.
This explains why I thought Greg was a little cranky on yesterday's segment. I am an every day bad sleeper. Many people joke about how bad they sleep and stuff, but every night, I toss and turn. I dream very vividly, every night, and I often remember my dreams in full detail. Last night I dreamt that Chuck Liddell returned to fighting in a boxing match and got KO'ed again, which broke my heart. There were articles online about "How can Dana White allow his fighter's to take a payday in another company?" The pay for the event was $83,838. I remember there being a big uproar over the pay. Very weird. I'm about to jump in the shower and go to work and I'm exhausted. Egh. =\
One time I fell asleep after school and woke up at 9 PM. Since it was the weekend and wasn't tired I decided to stay up. Didn't sleep til like 8 PM the next day. So like 23 hours of being awake. It was a pretty strange feeling.
I worked in a postproduction studio for advertising for years as a concept artist, the crunches were awful working two days straight and putting in weekends.
why are people complaining about the intro? I fucking love it, when the topic isnt really my thing(which 0.01% of the time) the intro alone makes me go fullscreen.
You'll eventually get to a point where you don't stay on the phone arguing for long... It's much nicer that way. Sure, they'll throw comments out like "You always run away when there's a problem" but I basically say 1 time "I'm not arguing about this, it's stupid"... they say it's not bla bla bla, I say "OK..." and to every thing they bring up after that point I say nothing but "OK"... eventually they get bored and drop it haha
I used to work over nights stocking at large big box chain. My shift would start at 10pm, I would get home around 6;30pm eat, shower and be in bed by 7am. I'd wake up 1;30-2pm just feeling so exhausted. Working nights really does damage to your body over the long haul, they have done studies in which show that 8hrs of sleep at night is significantly better for you compared to sleeping during the day. As humans have evolved to be diurnal species sleeping during the day really interferes with your circadian rhythm.
I mentioned this on Colin & Greg Live after the show yesterday, but I think that the guys need to look into giving up their Saturdays to make content that they are making during the weekdays such as multiplayer Mondays, teaching Tuesdays, unboxings, etc. Having only one day off each week is a better trade off to running themselves ragged all through the week. It just isn't sustainable, and using Saturdays to take some of workload off their backs during the week is a smart idea.
The fact you assume they do nothing on Saturday's is what cracks me up. If you've ever met someone starting a businuess/company, you know that almost everyday is a work day.
Evan Levenseller They had said so themselves at one point early on that they were planning on taking the weekends off, so it's not really assuming, now is it? It's not as though I am pulling utter bullshit out of my ass. I have ears, and I based my SUGGESTION on what came out of THEIR MOUTHS at one time.
I think for the first couple of months they could do 6 days a week schedule just to get everything in order and then when they refine what they're doing they can go back to 5 days a week
Ifs funny I watch this at 5 am. For the past two weeks my classes have been cancelled so much at my university that my sleep schedule is so off. I was going to bed at 12pm and waking up at 9 pm. It was terrible.
Last month I had to move, Woke up got ready started packing and moving boxes until midnight, new house didn't sleep that night then in the morning went back and started moving more stuff. So ya
I went back to one of the old episodes because I felt like there has been something missing from the show for the past two months. I think the show has become too much about the show. Every weak there is a topic about how tired, or how crazy everything it is and it takes the place of funny and thought provoking conversation. With that said I love all the content I just warn about getting to far into the meta of the show.
Which explains why Greg has been attacking everyone the pass couple of weeks and Colin looks like he always wants to pass out. I think its high time they prioritized how many shows need to be made. Maybe start doing smaller shows. Also not sure if that was intended as a joke but note they forgot to put the names for the patreon users in the video when they pointed down where the list should have been.
Yea I think you guys should break up your schedule more evenly in order to give yourself time and not burn yourself out. For example Game over greggy show on Monday, Wednesday,Friday, Sunday Kinda funny games cast on Tuesday, Thursday, Saturday Streaming on whatever days you want really just have them set and consistent on those days. I feel like this consistent schedule would allow to do more quality filming (it's great now tho) and also time to yourselves I miss you guys on the weekends because that's when I actually have time to watch this videos. Sometimes I have to pass up on some due to time with work and school Just a suggestion though
I .. fucking hate sleep .. I think it's a complete waste of time and I wish we did not have to sleep as a species .. we'd be so much more productive. I am a person with extreme insomnia .. I have times where I sleep 1 to 3 hours a night for an entire week and go to university/classes feeling like a fucking zombie.. It's horrible. Also a night person .. e.g. my classes have ended and my internship period has started, I should have found an intership weeks ago, still haven't even searched. Meanwhile for the past 2 and a half week I've been going to bed between 8 AM and 2 PM, wake up at night and then chill the entire night till the morning/ next day afternoon and sleep .. But it has come to a point where it makes me feel depressed .. I wake up and everyone at home goes to bed a couple of hours later. I have too little interaction even with my family and friends etc. Last exam period .. I literally hadn't slept for 2 of my 5 exams .. and the other three I only had 2 to 4 hours of sleep. And did I learn all night? NOPE .. I promised my self I would learn 3 days in advance at a minimum for each exam (originally I said a week), the day before exams I glanced over a summary made by a classmate and said .. fuck it .. I'll read it/learn in the bus tomorrow .. Thank God I'm a quick fucking learner .. but man .. I really really need to fix this shit .. and find an internship ..
I don't get why the intro annoys so many people. Like I somewhat understand, but I think it is fine. Those of you who watched podcast Beyond! know well that there was an intro on that. It was a similar length. Keep the intro. It makes it official as fuck.
I'm sort of put off by how defensive Greg is about the product. The other 3 are able to identify shortcomings or where there is room for improvement, but Greg always has an excuse or defense. No product is perfect and the great creators can identify their weaknesses and improve on them!
Oh wow, maybe they are tired and burning out with this new job and content creation... Cuz they didn't even insert the names of the Patreon supporters Greg mentioned at the beginning of the video... nothing scrolled by... gosh. Hopefully, they can figure out how to do this job without THIS much stress... I mean LOL NO Patreon subscribers names were shown. NONE! lol :p
Ah, more shop talk. Had to stop after about 7-8 min in. This is really turning into a show talking about running a show, instead of an actual show. Just think if you watched something like The Daily Show or Conan, and the entire show was just talking about how hard it is to run a show. It would be pretty lame.
This episode has sucked. Survey results, complaints about sleep, and a very short hairstyling thing? I'm tired of you guys talking so much about the company instead of making the content that we liked enough to support you. Gets old fast
I used to sleep after school like Colin. Sleep 3pm-8pm, go out until 2am, play games until 6am, go to school, come home and sleep.
That's how college is going for me right now, haha.
Lol, Greg and Colin have like the king of all bromances...
they give Sam and Dean from Supernatural a run for their money... not that I watch that crappy show!!! >_>
The trifecta of these guys' personalities, creativity, and work ethic is what will keep Kinda Funny on the rise for a long time. Kudos to each of you. Keep up the great content and fresh ideas.
I just want to say, I think it's really cool that you guys clearly read the comments and take user's suggestions into consideration. Thank You!
This was a really nice episode, in terms of hearing the difficulty of balancing hard work and time to be in this business, and Nick has some great comments
Imo, you guys have the perfect amount of content: enough to keep me coming back, but little enough that I always want more.
Keep up the good work :).
Absolutely hilarious how I just finished writing a literature review on Sleep Deprivation for college today, love you guys!
Tim's telegraph pigeon joke and Nick's reaction had me crying XD
That was one of the better topics in a while. Please do breakups, falling in love, girlfriends, marriage, etc in the future as topics. Would love to hear the stories and inputs on those types of things.

P.s. It'd be hard to get tired of these guys lol
colins face after greg said colin told him not to fucking talk to him like that. 38:28
he had that really nigguh face
Great topic guys, good to hear your insight on it. I have been having problems with sleep deprivation for the last couple of years and I'm trying to get a proper sleep schedule and its pretty hard
Three really good and unique topics in a row this episode!! I'm glad, part of me was growing tired of all the topics about food and video games and movies
if i have a assessment due for school tomorrow; i will do a little bit, go to bed early and wake up around 3am and just gun it before school
First day I had wwf smack-down on the ps1 I stayed up all night on a high school night and went to school falling asleep on the bus on the way there...fell a slept a lot that day was so hard.

While I made a comment to +JRod about time management for you guys I want you to know that I think you're doing one hell of a job
Real talk every episode from you guys. Love it.
That was a great episode! One of the better ones.
Could you do a episode on production? Maybe your production for kindafunny?
I just realized that I'm listening to this on the way to start my 4 am shift at work.
I am doing a project at 3 am while listening to this.
Great topic guys
I love KindaFunny.com. It really helps me find all the content in a one place.
Keep at it guys you're gonna get there ! I believe in kinda funny!

TH-cam trying to subtitle this show: Priceless.
Good lord I love the intro.
Plus it's all great content

Nicks dad knows a lot about breaks wtf lol
this episode is GRREAT!!!
I'm fucking loving the new intro guys!
When Colin said "My favorite thing about Google..." My phone popped up with an OK google que. Never thought that would happen
LOL
Regular naps are a must as age sets in.
Scarpino for president. Such an interesting guy!
cant wait to see these guys become on talent camera
In regards to not knowing how to tell people about all of your content, have you considered a weekly summation newsletter?
One time I fell asleep after school and woke up at 9 PM. Since it was the weekend and wasn't tired I decided to stay up. Didn't sleep til like 8 PM the next day. So like 23 hours of being awake. It was a pretty strange feeling.
i love how tim is so confused by collins vocabulary lol
*posts this at 12am*
lol @ Tim 8:21 "propensity?"
It's weird listening to this topic in the background while I'm doing work at 3am...
When you're on the phone arguing with your girl just act like you fell asleep after the long pause of just breathing
Works every time ;)
You'll eventually get to a point where you don't stay on the phone arguing for long... It's much nicer that way. Did these hours myself. But it changed every week 6am-2pm / 2pm-10pm / 10pm-6am. Totally screws with you.
Bottom line, you guys are doing a great job :)
As an engineering student, there is no concept of sleep. The most I get is around 3 hours. Anything more is a gift. :S
The jetta is such a teenage girl car! So silly.
tim at 8:21 hahahah
I personally love it when there is no guest... I prefer it when the guest best friends are more occasional.
I mentioned this on Colin & Greg Live after the show yesterday, but I think that the guys need to look into giving up their Saturdays to make content that they are making during the weekdays such as multiplayer Mondays, teaching Tuesdays, unboxings, etc.

what username did Colin use on GameFAQ's?
Cmoriarty I think, not positive tho
Look for the reviews of Mega Man 2 3 4 etc. His reviews are near the top. FYI, they're awful
hoho luuuuuuveeee ur show guys !
hard work being a nerd
Last month I had to move, Woke up got ready started packing and moving boxes until midnight, new house didn't sleep that night then in the morning went back and started moving more stuff. So ya
I heard that Nick, being an accountant is definitely not easy...
Tim's looking tanned
Nick speaks like he's Michael Bay
lol this was clever

just because it's zombie time, doesn't mean it's not snack time
I think i love apple juice more than orange now

I have a two year old and a newborn I know what sleep deprivation is all about.
Yea I think you guys should break up your schedule more evenly in order to give yourself time and not burn yourself out.

The film these shows as one big show on one day and break them up an put them out slowly over the week...
Nick so nice to Greg.... S C A R P I N O B O Y S.
What ever happened to Kevin?
You should hire me as a correspondent.
(And, no. I am not the cute kitten from the photo.)
Did Greg just admit to fraud?!
I miss Colin 😢
I miss how fast they use to get to the topics compared to now.
Yeah...that sudden burst of energy at night....Cocaine....
Das it mane

You guys need an intern!

make the vids shorter! 15min max
