Cracking Video as Always Fella, love the copy of Street of Rage 4, its not one that I've seen out in the wild, but I'll certainly be keeping my eyes out for it now. I've not been to Liverpool for many many years. I'd love to go back & have a wander around. I recently Have a good mooch around Birmingham & they have one of the Biggest CEX's I've ever been in :-P
If you are after CEX stores, come to Edinburgh, there are 3. I know what you mean about the yellow bundle copies for 360, but even I've ended up picking up a few - so many for Forza and Halo obviously. Nice pickup with the Street Fighter IV cardboard sleeve! Been meaning to add The Fall of Max Payne back into the collection. Nice title 🤙🏼
19:40 The reason why Spy Fiction has gone up in value (here in the US as well) is because the director later worked on some pretty obscure "hidden games" like Deadly Premonition. People dove into his earlier works because of its notoriety.
Decent grabs from that trip buddy. I go Liverpool 2 or 3 times a year, got family that live on brookside (yes that one). Never done a game hunt there though. The last city hunt I did was Sheffield which is pretty good tbh
Sheffield, noted! And they actually live on the Brookie Close? Wow, that's actually quite amazing really 😆 hope they've checked under their patios though lol. Thx for watching mate!
@pixelpaul_pxp yep that place. It's funny as my aunties house is next door to the house from that part of the show. It still blows my mind everytime I visit. Yeah Sheffield has loads of hidden indie stores as well as stores you'd never guess have games. Doncaster has some pretty good places too if your ever over that way
@@AnotherNormalYorkshireman yeah, Doncaster isn't too far away to get to for me, and I'm heading to Scarborough for a holiday sion, so wondering if I can tie in a stop off..
@pixelpaul_pxp there a place called doorway to dorkness in a village called Balby which is just off the a1 and in the town centre there's a cex and a couple of indie stores. My favourite is a small place called cool spot, any game you can think of, he most likely has it. The guy that owns the place is called Kev and he's a great guy. Last time I was there he had every ps2 big hitter sat on the shelves behind the counter and I asked about some big ps1 titles and he had them too. Great prices too.
Awesome video Paul 👍 The Royal Albert Dock looks proper Class with lots of stuff you can buy I mostly prefer Burnout 3 Takedown & Burnout Revenge with the races and crashes Burnout Paradise still Decent but can drag on for too long
Thx mate, yeah, not brilliant foe game hunting, but a great place to visit, nice vibe around the docks especially when the sun's shining! Thanks for watching!
3:28 I'm pretty sure that was the same Harry Potter store I saw in NYC recently. It didn't say House of Spells, but simply Harry Potter on the storefront. It was decorated in the eccentric pastiche of the movies. It's located on Broadway. Interestingly there is a public square within a block that has a portal to Dublin, basically a giant webcam to a public square in Dublin where people in NYC can see and talk to people passing by the portal in Dublin.
Love stores like that, that have a bit of imagination and magic to them! Didn't that portal get shut down because of some tik toker flashing her boobs through it? 😆
@@pixelpaul_pxp I'm not sure about the portal. It was shut down when I passed it at night, but the screen said it would re-open in the morning. I assume it's active only during certain hours of the day. The Harry Potter store was really done up. You can look at some pictures online, but nothing really matches the feeling of seeing something IRL. I'm not even a huge Harry Potter fan. I never read the books, but I really like seeing the creative worlds, shops, items, and spaces within the movies. It's somewhat like the early Star Wars films in that way.
That ghost trick was mine i swapped it for saw 2 on the 360 done all the charity shops in Liverpool centre there not great and the British heart Foundation is way too expensive 😂 I'm going lord street tomorrow I'm after the 50 cent blood on the sand 360
Haha, no way! That was the first game I spotted as I ventured to the back of the store lol. Must admit I wasn't sure whereabouts the charity shops were? Guessing they are all near to each other but we didn't stumble across them.. thanks for watching mate!
Actually a bit envious of retro collectors NOT in major cities. In London there’s really slim pickings, all the independent retro shops require lengthy road trips to towns which would take up best part of half a day. Game hunting is limited to CeX until the odd gaming market comes to town.
I think that's quite similar to a lot of the major cities now, which is a shame really. I'm quite lucky to have quote a few towns around me, all within 30 mins so you can get around quite a few in a day. Thanks for watching mate!
Does everything they sell have that obnoxious round sticker on them? Is it easy to remove? Don't they realise that sticker is devaluing the stock? Glad I go elsewhere.
They do for most games on the shelves, most stores are pretty good when it comes to cardboard cases and they won't use them on those, but in general, I've never really had an issue with them. Thanks for watching!
@zigzagtoes haha, they were the days! The worst these days I think are cash convertors, partly as they tend to have been in shelves forever, but they also fold the across the front, back and spine and it makes the awkward to peel off crispy.. collector problems! 😄
Yeah, suspected so, there is a single player offline mode which I dived into last night. It's OK, fairly fun. Didn't realise Guerilla were involved in it! Thanks for watching mate!
thank you for subscribing 🌸🌸 your channel is really entertaining that you are displaying retro collections :)
Thank you, i really appreciate it!

Very cool upload 👍

@@pixelpaul_pxp happy to mate, good job 👏🏼
Love CEX bought a load of games from there when I came back to UK for 6 wks .
Way cheaper for games than here in Australia
CeX has its faults, but overall yeah, still a great place for gaming once you get used to it's quirks! Thanks for watching mate!
@@pixelpaul_pxpyour welcome buddy . Game shops here in Australia arnt as cheap as uk .
Nice grabs as always matey.. nice to see some 360 goodness.. got me thinking if I've got Burnout Paradise now so I'll have to double check lol
Still fairly cheap, still worth a look! Thx for watching mate!

I prefer cex in a field rather than in the city. Less people watching 🤔😂
