I agree. It is good to see Awesome Kong wrestling again. I remember her from WWE but I do not think they gave her much of a chance there to showcase her wrestling kills. AEW is really doing a good job picking up former WWE wrestlers. WWE had better think of something quick before they lose other stars.

you guys are dumb, it’s the same thing. why? because everyone has a character. real “wrestling” characters don’t exist. if anything aew acts more like superstars than wrestlers, even though aew doesn’t acknowledge it. how can you tell? well from all the botches. they let the characters get the best of the match which caused a lot of botches. so many mistakes, and because of it, this was a terrible match.
but they are not wrestlers!!!! wrestling does not have punching or jumping off the ropes... what aew and wwe does is not wrestling and thats why wwe calls them superstars

I was. Seeing Emma was a surprise but then again, I could understand why she chose to go to AEW. It sounded like she changed her name for this company. Seeing Jazz is amazing too. Oh, by the way, I looked up Awesome Kong who I also really liked and her name was spelled Kharma. I saw this on wikipedia.

Match was okay, it got better when Mercedes entered the ring. Moves were a little sloppy and some spots were not well executed. They wasted odb, jazz ,and awesome kong in this match.

I really don't have a problem with Rose being transgender, it's perfectly cool. My problem is that she is beyond average in the ring, and about a dozen girls on the AEW roster are far more deserving of that title shot than she is.

I don't have a problem with that at all, it's her life and it's perfectly fine, but to see AEW give her a big push just because she is trans (it's obviously what they have in mind, Brandi has been pushing that agenda ever since they signed her) is an insult to the other women on their roster, women that are far more talented and more worthy of being champion than Rose.

@@John-pm1hk I trust Kenny, but come on...if he was truly in charge 100% then the other Joshi girl or Britt would get that title spot, it's very obvious Brandi is pushing her agenda and is shoving it down our throat. Nyla is cool and will be a good asset to that roster, but she is not championship material and is just there to push Brandi's agenda. Their lack of subtlety is honestly shocking.

Hope this will be an annual thing. Like AEW's version of the Royal Rumble. Since the Royal Rumble is the most popular match type. It was a mistake by WCW back in the day that they did not have something like that.
They actually did, it was called World War 3 and it was like the Rumble, but in 3 different rings.
This was the match I was looking forward to the most. Teal Piper, Tenille Dashwood, and Ivalisse were all eliminated to quickly. At any given time you can see half of these ladies are trying to figure out where they are supposed to be. In hindsight, I'm glad Yuka Sakazaki wasn't a part of this train wreck. I just hope they didn't get rid of her because she's more over than Riho. That kind of shit is why I don't watch WWE anymore. Well that and the inconsistent telling of awful stories.
Nyla Rose is awesome. But, in my opinion, this was a waste.

i don't think so you can clearly see things that are gonna happen before it even happen like the ending she literally jumped a bit so she could have been thrown out. there are many things in this match like that but i don't care to point them all out its easy to see...first time seeing anything aew and i am disappointed

Debatable, WWE truly has one hell of a great group of women under contract (if you count NXT). On their own, Kairi Sane, Io Shirai and Asuka are better and more valuable than any women in AEW right now. Sadly, WWE doesn't know how to properly use them and it's frustrating.

Their women division is very small at this point. Just 10 women. And their best females are both unknown to most of the American public and caugh up in their own feud. Gosh, the show didn't even start. They will have a ton of times for other females to get the title.

@Rahul Maharaj It's no well build, and there are too many noticeable mistakes done by the wrestlers. We know is scripted, but it brakes the fun when it's too obvious. I mean, look at the end, for example, first Presley and the other are totally confused about what they are doing, and she ends up running by herself to the corner to be eliminated. Then Baker prepares her jump over the ropes almost 2 seconds to early. And there are other similar mistakes. At least this Royal Rumble wasn't such a mess like the male one, but still not better. WWE plans in detail the Royal Rumble, so the choreography works better. Here is seem that excepting the winner they gave total freedom to the girls on how to do their work. And that's okay in a single or tag team match, but in a Royal Rumble, it leasd to chaos.
AEW women division is very very bad.. Only having Japanese wrestlers. They needs some huge names like Tessa Blanchard and tenile dashwood etc

I felt the eliminations were a little too quick and non-eventful, but there some good spots. A nice mix of wrestlers and I wish Jazz, ODB and Kong had more airtime. Wanted to see their signature moves at least.
Where are most of these women now? Man I miss when aew was like this. Tony khan was more focused before he started taking on too much on his plate. Ima go as far to say the quality looked a little more better than current aew is now.
