Stroman is good for 100 innings and thats like most of the Yankees including Gil and Rodon. We forget how bad this rotation was after June. Gonna be better yet thats a nice trade.
@@tarrekbaldwin8968 Gil is good yet he has to show he has the arm strength as he looked gassed and maybe thats from the TJ the year before. Rodon era is close to four and was not good for a long stretch of the season especially once he hit the 100ining mark. Most of our starters didnt look good once they hit the 100iinings mark. Rodon is not great in the postseason as well, like Fried.
Arm strength is something that pitchers build up to. As a rookie, Gil had not had the chance to pitch more than 150 innings due to injuries and/or sitting in the majors keeping the bench warm. He won ROY on the strength of his first half and there’s no historical reason to believe he cannot build up to being a near 200 inning pitcher.
I think we’ve got it all wrong we th Stroman. Someone is definitely gonna get hurt and we will need a legit replacement. Also, he won 10 with horrible defense behind him.
You'd hate to say 1 of the best and young 1st baseman would be a nice addition to the yanks? 99.76% of yankees fans would welcome him. It will come at a steep cost in free agency next year tho. Would rather use that money to sign tucker tho
Seems like a dumb deal but who else are they picking up? Is Burnes still out there (I don’t remember) and if he is, how much more will he want compared to how much better he is? Or trade for whom? And how much of their future will that guy cost? The Blue Jays KNOW they aren’t winning much if they make the post season, so it would be crazy to trade for someone whose clock is already ticking or will start ticking at that point. Better to build up while treading water now in order to be strong in two years or so.
Steve Cohen and Stearns try convincing and their pitch to Roki Sasaki come to New York Mets," we are friendly family, we giving luxury suites and free airplane jets first class to you Roki, and to your family, think about Roki, hundred million of marketing deal, if you play for us, and we are number #1 pitching lab, you want to be great then join us.
I like this trade a lot. 2 kids upcoming, for Stroman where he is wanted by a good team. No other damage to the team.
Nobody wants Marcus Stroman

Gil was impressive especially for a rookie. And Rodon pitched 175 innings.

Yes, they need to immediately do this phantom make-believe deal. After that, Cashman needs to trade LeMahieu for Vladdy right away.
Make that trade yesterday if you’re the Yankees.. gotta free up that salary

Look, the isues with Yankees its,not GM,Aaron Boon boon,
Its a looser,
Do matter how many year stay like GM,never will get WS ring😮😮
I would do that now I would actually settle for the blue jays beer man for stroman
I hate to say it but Vlad Jr. would be a nice addition to 1st base for the Yankees.
Why would you hate it??

As a Yankee fan, you should have zero desire to pay $400 million to Vlad Junior. Seriously.
he is in my plan for next year. goldy gone, vlad in, if we get bregman this year that would be nice
But he would have to play
third base or left field.
Blue jays would never make that ridiculous deal.

We can do this trade and then offer more money for Bregman.
BS
