Personally I think the biggest problem was that we over achieved at one point, OK that may sound silly but 2017 - 2019 we had one of the best teams in the country, nearly all were internationals. Moving from The Lane To Wembley and back to the new stadium took it's toll. Most played right up to the end of the 2018 World Cup (Final & 3rd 4th play off. By the time they played in the CL final they were knackered. Plus an unfit Harry Kane in the Final. We needed a bigger squad but I doubt no one thought we'd be that good. Any one who says we blew it against Leicester don't realise we were always chasing and played most matches first. I think Levy comes in for a lot of bad press at times, when he took over he said "this project will take time, it's not an overnight thing." Spurs are not backed by oil money or Russian money (when the guys from Fulham were winning things). The Stadium was built for a reason to make money for the club. It was hit by Covid nearly as soon as it opened which put a halt to that. Yes football is the main thing, just remember we were voted recently the best run club in the Premier League. Those finals we've been in and lost have all been against top teams, City, Utd, Liverpool, Chelsea Etc. As for Hoddle along with Greaves and Jennings probably the greatest in my lifetime. COYS.
Great response, many thanks pete
