Thanks for this. We live nearby and use the track regularly. We went over on saturday to visit Waterloo for the rugby. We were hearing about the works and now can see exactly how it was done. The trains have been running regularly so looks like a super job with minimal impact. 👍
I think you’ll find this in most places of work, the times we were told we had to increase production although working flat out while we could see ‘bosses’ sat in their offices not one of them coming down, rolling up their sleeves to help meet the deadlines, so much for ‘we all work together’
a railway bridge over the M62 at Castleton Rochdale is being replaced at the beginning of September.Just down tthe road from where i live.hope somebody films it and puts it on youtube.
Interesting, - thanks very much. I lived in the area for 44 years and hardly recognised the location. The last time I was birdwatching in Formby, the old generator building was still there on the bank of the Alt and they were still dealing with the polystyrene fallout from that appalling company which occupied it for years.
Construction of bridges in the UK takes ages compared to the Chinese and even African countries ie a bridge in Bristol on ring road 4174 to Yate has take almost two years, very disappointing.
Which do you think will be built to the highest standard? And, more importantly which project will have the highest safety standards to protect its workers?
This was built quickly in modular format as shown. We live nearby. The railway has to run with minimal interruptions. We passed along the track to a rugby match the next day and saw the cranes being dismantled.
Great video 💪💪 also great to see my old crane the CC2800-1 the flagship still going strong

Great work Paul. Love seeing this sort infrastructure work being done. I passed over the new bridge on Sunday; in less than a second
yeah me to same day, last day for the 507s lol
Good bit of work you did there, Paul. Well done and many thanks.
thanks!
Beeching wanted to close that line along with the Southport to Preston one. Imagine the road congestion if he had had his way
Great footage Paul
thank you
Very interesting video thanks for taking the time to film the work👍
My pleasure!
A very interesting video. Didn't know the location but will look up.
Wow......I passed by here last October, no signs of any work going on or planned whatsoever......They sure got busy...😁
Why is it always one person working and 5/6 people standing around doing nothing?

They've chopped a lot of trees down in Altcar and clear the land to give them access to do the work.
The polystyrene company was called Rosslite and they dumped a lot of their waste into the river
If it's any consolation, records made of polystyrene are a craw in most collectors' feet.
It would have been great if you’d captioned the activities of each day……..day one, day two etc. Otherwise quite interesting, thanks.
video would of been boring,if i did it that way
Be interesting to see if the new bridge lasts 100 years?
no chance
@@veryhighguy Why?
