Burt has a history of this type of thing. Him and Johnny Cason and Dom Delouse, eggs and shaving cream.... He even told his gal pal Sally Field to bring a can on her first appearance.
Oh shit. Marc is a big part of my childhood. I loved those game shows on Nick. I always wished i could be on Double Dare. Tim, well, he's number one handsy boy.
@@oldironsides4107 Stop making up lies. If he did, Marc would have said so in this interview. Stop making up these fantasy stories because you're screwed-up in the head.
I get it. You’re Burt Reynolds, Carson’s fav guest, and you’re hocking some book and sharing the stage with Marc Summers and strung out on pain killers. I’d be in a bad mood too.
I don’t most people think the “I’m still married” to someone you don’t know going threw a divorce and other shit is a light burn. But I’m one of those people that likes to care about people.
Yeah it was an excessively rude/mean thing to say, disappointed he still thinks that was appropriate as a “comic”. Especially since he knew Burt was going through heavy shit and didn’t personally know him.
In all fairness.. even though it was a joke.. the timing wasn't great. You knew the dude was going through a divorce and was angry the entire time.. what did you think would happen when you made a marriage joke?
Burt was ridiculous and aggressive, but Marc’s rude jab at his divorce was uncalled for. Dude was clearly going through it, but Marc still thought it was funny. Read the room.
He's been exercising everyday for almost five years now? I don't know if that's an accurate timeline but it has been so gradual that I don't really notice it unless I look back at older videos or someone brings it up. You'll get used to skinny Tim soon enough
Marc Summers is on a whole other level. What an amazing guy!!!
@@xdcountry Lol! He’s a chump.
I like how somebody backstage immediately started preparing pies when water started flying
I think the Pies were already prepared for a Double Dare Skit no matter what. But very funny!!! 🤣
As is clearly stated in this video, the pies were already prepared.
I think Burt gained a new found respect for Marc even standing up. He probably thought he’d do nothing lol
This is much more compelling with the file footage! Burt really went for it with that pie, got the full wind-up. Glad he didn't break Marc's nose!

Damn.. I love that you brought this up..classic
"it's funny because it's bigger than a normal hat"
This guy owns a doghouse
😂
Marc has always seemed like a genuinely nice guy.
He missed an opportunity to ask him how hard did burt hit him with 5hat pie to the face?
As a kid, I would have killed for Marc Summers😍
That’s dark
Yep lol
Weirdo
So you take the physical challenge?
I'm 38 and he still has my sword....
Oh shit. Marc is a big part of my childhood. I loved those game shows on Nick. I always wished i could be on Double Dare.
Tim, well, he's number one handsy boy.
This was a legend episode right here
I think I saw John Denver’s ghost 👻 at 2:00.
Or Jeffery Dahmer...
Burt really slammed that pie!
Broke marks nose.

i was watching the night that happened - like seeing kaufman on letterman
Totally awesome
He'd drank up a whole pontiac Firebird Thunderchicken in the previous year
The legend... unwrapped.
is doug john denver's kid or what.
Well, I know what the next thing I'm now searching for is going to be
Douggpound rockin that jovi haircut
I'ma dougpound gangsta from the LBC
The best thing was when Burt said to Marc: And I told that to your wife the other night😂....
I guess grown ups still bully. Burt was like a foot taller and had 50lbs on him. Marc seems like a really nice dude
Burt was 5’11 not short but not very tall either
3" not 12"
I think that was Burt’s way of saying I’m sorry when he whispered that to you
Wow! I apparently only knew him as the nickelodeon guy, but he hosted so much other stuff! Guess that wasn't the tale end of his career.
Burt gave him a hug afterwards tho, so that's ok.
What else is he going to talk about. Double dare?
Did you dig up John Denver to make him your switchboard operator?
I remember really liking Marc Sunmers when I saw him on stuff when I was a kid, and thinking it was a shame he wasn't in more.
holy shit the lore.
Burt liked to make sure everyone else was as miserable as him.
I love bad Jay Leno impressions
He was edgy, going through a divorce.. so i teased him about his failed marriage. Smart.
Dumb idea for the Tonight Show to have the first guest just sit there after their segment is over, especially if it’s a star with a big ego.
That's how literally every talk show ever has worked lmao
This arrangement was actually the norm on the show in the classic Carson days. It often produced great entertainment.
Doug is starting to resemble Brian Jones more and more
If Summers even thinks for a second he could take Burt Reynolds he’s an idiot.
Becuase he played a tough guy on TV?
@@Centermass762 No because he was tough outside of acting. Read about his football career or stunt career. I believe he was more than just an actor.

This is implicitly referencing divorce, a heavy burn would be much more explicit
Yeah it was an excessively rude/mean thing to say, disappointed he still thinks that was appropriate as a “comic”. Especially since he knew Burt was going through heavy shit and didn’t personally know him.
Don't be a dick if you can't take the heat. Especially to a comedian.
Can we do a reboot of Tom goes to the mayor?
Burt really was a dick on the show. But that showed how he was when he was on top. Treating people like crap. Even Sally Field.
Youre out of your element donny
John Denver cut your hair
In all fairness.. even though it was a joke.. the timing wasn't great. You knew the dude was going through a divorce and was angry the entire time.. what did you think would happen when you made a marriage joke?
Who’s here from the Dr Phil (Adam Ray) show? 😂
Hey now
John Denver? 2.2
...sure insult the newly divorced guy.
Still think Summers was out of line tbh, softer way to handle Reynolds grumpiness than making a joke about divorce ffs
Burt was ridiculous and aggressive, but Marc’s rude jab at his divorce was uncalled for. Dude was clearly going through it, but Marc still thought it was funny. Read the room.
Exactly and still blames Burt after all these years for his reaction? Lucky he only got a pie in his face
Nah burt had already disrespected him so the gloves were off
He made the egotistical remark about talking to his back like scolding him like he’s his child or something. He started the rude behavior and remarks
Burt played with people like that. 3 stooges.
I like Burt Reynolds as performer. I think he did some good movies and was fun in them and or good but he's an ass in real life.
Burt is the man!!...even when he's embarrassing himself
When was he ever the man
Tim was a tool that night.
He had his back turned to Reynolds the whole time.
RIP Burt Reynolds.
What an asinine comment
Burt Reynolds was an egotistical prick.
Comedy for simps
Is everyone on this show vegan?. They all look gaunt
Holy shit haven't been watching for a while when did Tim lose so much weight?? He looks 10 or 20 pounds thinner than a year ago.
He's been exercising everyday for almost five years now? I don't know if that's an accurate timeline but it has been so gradual that I don't really notice it unless I look back at older videos or someone brings it up. You'll get used to skinny Tim soon enough
Yes, he has lost considerable weight. His secret? Tim was eating three meals a day and now replaces two of those meals with a big rail.
@@termsofusepolice hell yeah brother that's what Hollywood's about!!
Burt is a gum chewing machine
You took shots at a guy, on national TV, who's going through a divorce. With audience laughing to boot. I would have snapped too.
