Honestly Yotam, thank you. Your YCCs are some of my favourite videos on TH-cam. You make fun of yourself a lot, you invite others to do the same, but secretly you're doing this so that art is less frightening. Creating art can be such a stressful and unforgiving experience, but your lighthearted charm and self-effacing approach really eases beginners into it. I don't draw, I don't make music, and I've wanted to for so many years. My biggest fear has always been that the vision in my head will never be the same as what comes out on paper. Your videos always flip that upside down. You show your audience that it's a silly notion to expect what comes out of the artistic process. Your focus is always on trying, experimenting, improvising. My favourite thing I've heard you say is: "Well guys, I made an art. It's not a good art. It didn't come out the way I intended. I don't like it. It made me mad to create it. I feel worse off than I did before I started. (Deep inhale) And that's how you make art guys." Which sums it all up.
never stop doing what you do. I was literally thinking to myself that I wanted to boot up my DAW and mess around with some beats, and then I saw this video in my sub box. bless u for the inspo!
I noticed that once you discovered why slicing to a MIDI track wasn’t working, you didn’t go to those old answer threads and tell them what you’ve found. This is why people can’t find answers to these decade old threads,.
Yotam I actually love you. We are at the same age and your birthday songs hit me on a level I've never felt. I look forward to them every year and hate it at the same time because of how close they hit me. Keep doing what you're doing life suck but we can pull through!
This was a great video, a shame it took me three weeks to watch it. I liked the beat and there was a real "Wow Yotam" feeling when you started playing the guitar alongside it.
This is something I've wanted to do for years but just never find the time. Have the gear in storage, soon I need to watch this again and start practicing. Appreciate the video.
for audio, what I do is I enable the "stereo mix" audio device in the windows sound settings, and then I use audacity to record that with stereo mix set as the microphone stereo mix just plays your windows sounds, so when you record in audacity, it just records what your computer is playing
hey @@LazyPillow you should also look up OBS its a free recording software that lets you simultaneously record your webcam as well as your screen and its really nifty way of making tutorials :)
1:49 There is! Just dump that recording in Audacity and export! Or set up OBS so that it records your audio as a separate file. (I forgot how, but it's definitely possible!)
If you want an easier way to record your desktop audio right into ableton I really recommend voicemeeter banana!! I used to do the same goofy stuff to get the samples I wanted but voicemeeter makes it so easy to sample and record desktop audio. Also I really love these music making videos, I love your style so watching your workflow is really sick ;)
hey, I would love to learn how to do this, but I don’t have a bass guitar or experience with it. Would I need a physical bass to include that instrument?
Hey Yotam use Audacity. Idk wtf it is but everyone says its good. If you're still having issues with stereo, lol rip. But in all seriousness, can I pay you to make music for my video game?
hmmm doesn't look as complicated as I thought it would. thanks yotom I actually might try doing a lo fi song, and maybe I'll impress my brother, or that one girl that i Like. But I lack the guitar skills and such.. and I kinda don't have the keyboard thing off screen.. my brother has one but he won't give me it. Sad.
you guys think i dont know about audacity and STERO MIX??? bunch of mansplainers in here
kidsplainers
Why not make a redbubble account. You upload and suddenly you sell tshirts, hoodies, stickers and what not.

Now you know my pain on making tutorials Yotam. You're way better at this than me.
these people are so ungrateful...

I’m in love with you making music with us! *funny accent*
Yotam: Welcome me showing you music
Me: that what he said
your "rap" at the end over the beat almost sounds like some actual art rap stuff
Its basically folk metaphysics by milo
This helped me out a lot
יותם אתה בן אדם אחד מוכשר
I’m still having this issue. Can someone pls help? :(
for audio, what I do is I enable the "stereo mix" audio device in the windows sound settings, and then I use audacity to record that with stereo mix set as the microphone
stereo mix just plays your windows sounds, so when you record in audacity, it just records what your computer is playing
i cant believe you people think im not aware of stereo mix, very disheartening

That thumbnail will give me nightmares.

I see 👍🏻
the sampling process is easier with a chrome extention called sample, its just the same process but all in one place
you rock
Kind of informative
Kind of lousy
Always hilarious
Keep up that good shit Yotam! :)
This got in my feed and I genuinely thought it was Ben Levin
Big moosic man

Internet funny man is back 🔥🔥🔥
Yotam in Friday Night Funkin when?
... audacity allows you to record also anything you play on the pc by choosing the speakers as the recording device
Upstaging pt.2??? Instead of nat king Cole it’s Chet baker?? Nice
Yotam, you can bring the video file INTO ableton live!
You can rip the audio using Adobe Audition in virtually the same way, except it takes less time to export
Whatever happened to "I ain't telling what programmes I'm using" 😋
Yay a yotam video :D
Anyone know if most of this stuff is possible in FL?
do you stream this stuff? that would be cool if you did.
Yotam, please just use audacity. You just record and export, quick and simple.
When are you gonna be doing a giveaway?
hey, I would love to learn how to do this, but I don’t have a bass guitar or experience with it. Would I need a physical bass to include that instrument?
you could find a VST (virtual instrument) of a bass guitar, and use a midi keyboard ot simply write in the notes by hand
@@LazyPillow thanks so much :•)
NEW NAMELESS WHEN
i wrote a script for ep 6 :)
@@LazyPillow Nice. Been following you since 2008. Good times.
