Well, I feel that the reason for this is two-fold. For starters, the American and Canadian fans know the nuances of the language, so when they take shots at the guys, they know exactly what they're saying, so some of them really are being snarky, and the guys give it right back to them, either just as a joke or to take them down a notch. With the foreign fans, they realize something that sounds rude might just be a result of a language barrier. And consequently, they want to word what they say carefully, because as second-language speakers of English, they might not understand if something is just a joke.

Cas hugs both Sam and Dean in 7.21 when they go seem him in the psych ward. Granted, he is loopy and completely out of himself, or at least typical 'Cas' behavior, but it's a hug nonetheless when he pulls them in and says "I love you guys." :]

When Dean decided to ask Death to pull Sam's soul out from the cage he also asked to bring Adam too but Death gave him a choice - Sam's soul or Adam and of course Dean chose his little brother's soul. Death is the only one who could free someone from the cage and since he's not going to do that Adam will stay there. Although I really hope we'll see him again - I didn't really love Adam, but Jake Abel is amazing.
For people who say "look at Jared through the years of SPN he looks so different!" I'm just like bitch please look at him from Gilmore Girls and look at him now
