Wow...takes me back on the way I felt in 1980, I got saved on January, 1980 at Miss State University & was turned on to this music on WHKK in Cincinnati, Ohio fm 101...ahhh
Thank you robbase1969 !! I'm just 21 days from being 69 years old, and this is the music of my young Christian years. Oh man, this takes me back and reminds of the profound influence this music had on my heart and soul. Also, great job on the mix! Had to like and sub - no choice!! :)
Very refreshing. I believe the youth should listen to contemporary Christian music from not only today, but back in the day as well. This is especially true for believers.
This Is Great! I was born in 1975 so I grew up on all these songs. Back in the 80's my dad bought a lot of Vinyl from all these artists featured here. I am so glad I got to grow up on this music. I can't get enough of this music. After the 90's christian music just was just not the same. The best christian music came from the 70's, 80's, and 90's. Thank you for making this. I want to cry when I listen to this. This is beautiful. It just made my day to find this. God Bless You so much for this.
Stephen Dobbins. I was born in 1976, I totally agree. They had the best Christian music in the 70s and 80s. It changed in the 90s. I was raised on these songs....
I was born in 78, but there was always older music around the house. I agree with you. I like some of the stuff back in the 60s too. But for the most part, you are correct. Music especially Christian music, starting to get really horrible after the 90s. It’s actually pretty sad. We’ve gotten away from worshiping Jesus, and move toward worshiping self.
Listening to all of these compilations Brings back so many memories . So much more heart and soul in these songs than ones that are rubber stamped today. You can just feel these in your soul still today.
That’s a great way to describe the music of today. Rubberstamped. Great term. Love it. And you are right about the heart and soul that is in this music. To think, the church was critical of these singers.
Thanks for posting these medleycompilations. I remember a lot of these songs from when I was a kid. We were all new Christians at the time, only having been saved for a couple of years. KBIQ out of Seattle was the CCM station that we tuned into at that time. I remember my mother staying up all night many times after my dad left us, because she couldn't sleep and she had KBIQ on the dial, and oftentimes I couldn't sleep so I would listen along too.
God bless you. It’s easy to feel nostalgia, even if you weren’t born back then. I find myself going further and further back, if I want to hear good music. I have records from 1910 all the way up to the 90s.
Does anyone remember the female Christian singer in the 80s who sang lyrics ,let it rain, let it rain, let it rain ,let it pour.Let your power come down let your Spirit abound like before. Can't find this song anywhere
I need help trying to find a song that was during this time frame. The song has the lyrics..."hope hope Jesus comes to us and he brings hope in the deepest darkest night...jesus comes and shines his light. I believe the song starts of talking about a girl name Laurie. Help.....please
I am totally blind, so I’m not sure if the songs are on the screen. The song directly after David misses we are the reason, what is that song? I love it, and I’ve never heard that.
And whosoever was not found written in the book of life was cast into the lake of fire. (Revelation 20:15) And the third angel followed them, saying with a loud voice, If any man worship the beast and his image, and receive his mark in his forehead, or in his hand, The same shall drink of the wine of the wrath of God, which is poured out without mixture into the cup of his indignation; and he shall be tormented with fire and brimstone in the presence of the holy angels, and in the presence of the Lamb: And the smoke of their torment ascendeth up for ever and ever: and they have no rest day nor night, who worship the beast and his image, and whosoever receiveth the mark of his name. I would say the early to late 2000's as well.

Just love We Are the Reason by David Meece, takes me back to elementary, 1982/1983......
I was saved at seven, and I grew up singing in church. I remember singing this one as a small kid, usually around the Christmas season.
I still has CD! :) Rainbows in the dark.
Great art! ❤
BW Stevenson sounds like John Conlee. He was a country singer known for such hits as Backside of Thirty, Rose Colored Glasses, etc.
Oh the memories, thank you.
Songs that should have been on the radio in 1980. It was very difficult to find a good radio station that played this music back then.
I thank CCM Backtrack and Rewound. They play these songs 24/7 nowadays.
First time I listen to those songs and I feel nostalgia, even I born in Brazil, in 1991
God bless you. It’s easy to feel nostalgia, even if you weren’t born back then. I find myself going further and further back, if I want to hear good music. I have records from 1910 all the way up to the 90s.

Don Francisco was the master storyteller. Too small a price is his virtuoso song.
Definitely was one of the best. Too Small A Price is a classic. His song about Balaam is another favorite song that he did.
Love it!
robbase1969 Do you have videos for other years? Thank you for posting.

It's just too bad that WORD Records outlawed all frequencies below 200hz...
They never should’ve messed with analog music. It definitely sounded better.
