I have followed you since your WA days.
Moving to FL made sense to me to.
I retired, Wife retired (both from Air Force) and we no augur a new build in Ft Walton Beach Fl.
After 15 months we decided to leave the State, sold everything and moved to Tokyo.
Now our cost of living is half of what it was in FL, and we are living the best life we ever had.
Quality of life in Japan is unmatched.

I’m also from NYC area we moved in 2022 to PSL near midway area. I noticed I drove too slow because our speed limit up north is 25 mph on side streets and 50mph on highways people were getting annoyed at me. The flipped me the bird a few times … lol. I tend to think my family and I are not the rude northerners we try to be polite and respectful

We came from Maryland and was thinking about psl, but decided on the Melbourne area for the reasons you’re speaking. I guess time will tell if they’ll come up this far north

Congrats on the new job and shorter commute C-Los. Also, good to see you are doing well. Thank you for the Port St. Lucie update. I hope the infrastructure is designed to absorb the anticipated growth.

It is definitely getting packed and the demographic moving here is indeed changing but in my humble opinion there is just no comparison with Miami ( Dade in particular ).The people down there are more arrogant and the streets more dangerous by far.I lived all over Miami for almost 30 years and still go down there regularly to visit relatives so I am constantly reminded of the shift. As bad as it may seem here at times its still one of the best major cities in Florida.

The entire Florida is crowded and very expensive.

I used to live in Broward County and relocated to PSL in 2006 and at first I didn’t like PSL but I grew to like it over the years. Unfortunately I have to say the quality of life has gone down.
The area is just too over populated and they just keep building more and more houses.

As someone that has been living in south florida since 2001(browardcounty), psl has always been the place people go to when they want to get away from the hussle n bussle of south florida. The " cheaper "cost of rent and mortgages is what is driving the in recent influx of people. As far as drivers go florida has NOTHING on New York drivers. They are the WORST!!😂
