    I haven't rode soft mode in a while. I'm gonna head out this evening and play around with it. Excellent video Thanks for the tips!

      Thanks SV! It's like having two wheels in one unit. Soft mode completely changes the ride feel. It's fun to play around with all the settings. Dialing in the wheel to suit your desired ride feel is key. Have a good one!

    I had been searching for a video on this topic for a while now.

    For some reason I used to think I liked hard mode, but then I kinda figured I am a very chilled and cautious rider, and really, soft mode suits me way better. The wheel feels more stable to me.

      Soft mode can definitely feel more chill. A a fun setting to ride for sure. Cheers!

    Was just playing with this setting on my Lynx.😊

      I’m currently loving 80/80 on Lynx and one less degree forward than previous coming from 50-60 before pedal assist update.

    I ride in hard mode now but started and learned in soft. I thought the soft mode would help me get the heavy master wheel to move and stop easier. Changing the tilt setting to -2 made me afraid it would be too difficult to stop.
    Since I’m way more comfortable now, I need to go in now and make these adjustments like you mentioned. I just ride like it is instead of fine tuning.

      I look at it like this. You can adapt to the wheel even when it is not fully dialed in. However, you may feel uneasy at times, almost as if the wheel is controlling the ride, when it shoould be you controlling it. A dialed in wheel will increase your safety and fun factor many fold. I say play around with different settings from time to time but don't obsess over it. Part of the dialed in ride feel is body mechanics and muscle memory. Take care my friend.

    I'm a very very very new rider, just got my V8s last week (unfortunately wiped-out second day of learning and banged my elbow up on a fence post so out of commission for a couple weeks, didn't have my elbow pads on). But, what is recommended for learning? I left it at what it was out the box, I think it is set to hard and -1 peddle tilt. Any advice is helpful when I hopefully get back on this weekend or maybe, I'll wait until next week. Still amazed by you guys flying like that. I was going probably 8 miles per hour in a grass field, and I was wobbling and everything, can't imagine, 30 and 40 and more mph. Any way safe riding!

  • @drakoden
    @drakoden 4 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

    Do you think any particular mode is better to reduce wobbles? I have a lynx and i get wobbly at around 21 mph. I ride in max hard mode currently

    • @ElectrifiedRider
      @ElectrifiedRider  4 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      No. Not in my experience. I found the best way to eliminate wobbles is to have your pedal dihedral, power pads & brake pads set-up properly. Seated riding is also a great way to negate the onset of wobbles. Muscle memory and experience also plays a big role.

    I can't tell the difference on my V14. Fellas said I should be able to turn better on single-track w/ soft pedals. Mostly I need more feet I mean miles in dirt.
    This morning I felt fewer wobbles in soft.
    I have a ten mile commute on side walk and road.

    I noticed in your point of view there is some bad vertical lines parallel to where you're riding on the road. When your Sherman s goes over them do you feel any tram lining? Tram lining is when your wheel gets sucked into the groove and changes direction. Also similar to train tracking. I would get this often on my OG Sherman but on my new Sherman S I don't really get them

    I just still cant understand how to make the wheel stable 😢

    • @ElectrifiedRider
      @ElectrifiedRider  4 หลายเดือนก่อน

      What psi are you running?

    • @UniFanatix
      @UniFanatix 4 หลายเดือนก่อน

      @ElectrifiedRider I'm running street tire at 30 psi. However, I'm heavier with my weight about 250 lbs without gears on.
      Also, I talked to Jono a rider from Australia (with great youtube channel by the way) about the wobbles with the Lynx and he confirmed that he experienced the same with the stock tubless street tire that comes with it.
      He recommends getting a tire tube with Shinko offorad 241 for higher speed stability and braking. I want to try it and see.

  • @UniFanatix
    @UniFanatix 4 หลายเดือนก่อน +2

    Man that stability, I still can't pass 20 mph. The lynx still gets shimmy under my feet. I'm barely 70 miles in with my experience 😂 but I want more speed 😂

      It will come with experience. Just keep riding. The speed will definitely come. For now get to know your wheel and master slow riding. Ride safe brother

      @@UniFanatix If you want a more structured way to stop wobbling:
      Drop your tire psi to 25, and once you get comfortable and stable, increase it by 2, keep repeating that cycle until you can ride without wobbles at 35 psi. I did this when I got my ET Max, every time you increase the pressure youre making the wheel a little bit harder to control, and thus allowing you to build your muscles slowly while being able to push yourself.

    What’s up ER? I hope all is well. Thank you so much for your videos. You always cover the right topics. I just switch from medium to soft on my commander pro. Nothing like the soft mode on my Veteran Sherman OG but I’m getting used to it. I was told to put it in off road mode then soft mode and boy did that help. Now it feels more like the Sherman soft mode. Try it. Which leatt knee pads are you wearing? It’s time to upgrade mine but I want to make the right choice. They have 2 on Amazon. The old ones for $99 and some new ones for $159. Which ones do you have and which ones do you think I should get?

    • @ElectrifiedRider
      @ElectrifiedRider  4 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      What's up bro? Yeah, I hear you. The Veteran wheels hit different in soft mode than the Begode / Extreme Bull wheels do. They are both fun, but a little bit different ride feel. I'll try out that setting you suggested. The Leatt knee guards I wear are the $99 Dual Axis. I think for the price you can't beat it. They have held up great for me. I haven't tried the "pro" version yet. Looks like they have better air flow if you think you might need that. Take care.
