Also if u want any tips on frontwalkovers then it helps allot when ur legs are straight and when u land on ur first leg don’t bend it cuz up just fall :/. Lock ur knee idk how u call it lol. And start fast cuz it gives u a better push. I hope this helped u :)
Thank you so much!! I've been starting to practice more, and I appreciate the tips! I think I definitely bend my knee, which I should stop doing and I do mine really slowly...:(((. For some reason I feel like my left leg (my bad leg) lands too far over on my right side, so my form looks lopsided, so I'm trying to fix that...!
Hi I’m learning gymnastics (I’m a dancer) and I just wanted to ask how come you sometimes like tap the ground with your feet before kicking over? Does it help you get over?
Hi! That's awesome you're learning gymnastics! Yeah, I sometimes tap the ground (I used to do it a lot more when I was first learning to kick over), because it does help give me some extra power. Now I can usually kick over without that extra tapping (by squeezing my shoulders and kicking with power), but I think its helpful to do at first. What really helped me get my kick over (and eventually a back walkover) was making sure my bridge was as small as it could be and practicing on a downhill. Part of my problem was that I was afraid I would collapse, and the other part was that my bridge positioning wasn't good. Hope this helps :)
@@angela-sh8zy Aww!! Thank you so much!!! :))))) I am actually working on my front walkover (I did some before, but they were never consistent and my form needs work - I'd appreciate any tips!). I hope you get your kickover super soon!! (I have another video on my channel that shows just my kickover journey). Honestly, there were some days I just wanted to give up, but now I can do it anytime (even multiple in a row - I think it's called a tick tock!). Maybe I'll make a tutorial! I need to start filming more videos soon :)
ForeverInHandstand my first tip i recommend is to keep your aim at the floor. keep looking at your hands until your feet touch the ground. it gives me more control of my back and helps me keep my focus. are there any specific parts you struggle with like etc. standing up, landing,???
Hi! I just learned my front walkover! Finaaallly.. And I want to start learning a backwalkover. I tried it before but I just can’t kick over :(. Do u have any tips on kicking over?😤😓
Yay! Congrats on your front walkover!!! I do have several tips for a kickover. It took me a month or two to get mine (but it can be learned even quicker than that!). Once I got my kickover, doing a back walkover wasn't so bad!! Part of the problem with my kickover was my bridge position.. My bridge needed to be rounder and my shoulder needed to be around my ears, so I worked on back flexibility which helped. What also really helped me was doing a kickover with a spotter or on a slight downhill. If you have mats, you can stack them up and do one from there. I also made a tutorial for this skill :))) Hope this helps!!
ah welldone, lovely seeing the progress! im going to make a vid of my progress too, currently can only do this 20% of the time, maybe i need to increase my flexibility
It took me about 2 months to get my backbend kickover, but I wasn't training consistently everyday during that summer. Getting my back walkover after I got my kickover probably took less than a week. I did some warm up before (stretched by back) but nothing major! :)
Yeah! I learned when I was 17/18 I think. I've since lost the skill. Kinda got it back at an adult gymnastics class, only to lose it again. My kick-over is a bit hit or miss now!
wow! this is so good....I really like the music, too!!
thank you!!! the music is from iMovie :)

Amazing 🤩
Greetings...how many days a week did you train and did you warm up before working out the move?

Wow, did you learn as an adult? I am trying to now as a 35 yr old. Some days I can do a backbend kickover off the ground, some days I can't.

You did really good but here’s a tip when you start you have to start with your arms above your head and go down looking at your arms good job 👍 😌
thank you!! :) will definitely try to do that more!
I learned my back walkover without practice
that's cool!! :) good job!
