Actually what my sister did was buy a small box of each wood she was considering (obv this is more $ but i think worth it because floors are forever :) so she could lay out a bunch of bits and see how it looks!
You need a 12mm laminate if you want it to last a long time - we just did our floor white wash grey and were recommended 12mm and at least 10mm underlay ❤️

White oak floor in the whole house is a lots of white... looks like visiting the dentist. Maybe take a warmer wood-colour for the bedroom? I've got white wood in my living room and more greyish in the kitchen, but it is still too white. Just to warn you, might be too much if you take the whole house in white oak.

We have this ottoman at our sofa. We sometimes put a tray on it, but the problem with ours is that it's a little rounded so the tray isn't as stable as we'd like it to be. Our drinks have toppled over the sofa once because of that. so I would recommend getting an ottoman that's flat on top if you want to use it as a coffee table like you said. Also the white floor looks very nice!

My personal taste is a mixture of browns and gray wood flooring, best way to descibe my taste is like a homey rustic kind of industrial type if that even helps. But you go its going to take some time but can't wait for it to be done! 💖

Laminate isn’t good for areas with water or humidity so I wouldn’t recommend it for bathrooms or kitchens. But you can get porcelain tiles that look like wood floor!

Get a humidity test before you get laminate. It buckles in certain temperatures/humidity levels. They make ceramic that looks exactly like white wood.

Try the gold paint 2/3 up the wall - it is a little more modern and won’t look like it needs a chair rail.

Theres a new floor you can get their small tiles just like laminate but super shiny so almost looks like marble tiling very chic
