Shavua tov. Are you still a working rabbi? And do you still abide by yemenite minHag? I've been a big fan of your videos for a long time I miss the old content. Hope all is well. Blessings and peace

Dear Anthony, I was never a working rabbi, but one who teaches not for profit. I have since taken a step back towards academia, shoring up the academic defense of Torah. The shift has a number of serious, compelling reasons, particularly in order not to clash with the rabbinical establishment.
Another thing: although we identify strongly we Yemenite minhag, due to its association with the path of the RaMBaM, we never devoted ourselves to it as a religious obligation in and of itself. That is not merely due to my being Sephardic, but our rejection of ethnic custom as halakhah -- only an imperfect vehicle thereof.
Whereas we've always prayed with the Yemenites and have been largely associated with them, we have always embraced a broader, non-Diaspora-minded approach to the Torah.
Thank you for letting me know you miss the old content; I will keep it mind! Note that, on my new website, www.bigpicturetorah.com, we've included the old content I'm still proud of.

@@OhevTorathMoshe I have commented on some of your older videos not realizing I know TH-cam sometimes will not send alerts for older posts so apologies in advance for multiple comments on the same topic. My wife and myself are looking to pay for a tutor for learning Hebrew. Authentic Hebrew. We live in New York. Do you or do you know anyone that teaches how to read temani pronunciation. My wife and I are approaching the end of our conversion and our rabbis accept our temani minHag even though they are not yemenite because that is the tradition we studied when we discovered judaism. Baruch Hashem our first exposure was Rambam and the temanim. How wonderful is Hashem. I can pray well with transliteration but I would like to succeed my capabilities to learn how to read the alefbet properly with temani tradition and trope. My conversion rabbis approve as we have been speaking hebrew and practicing this way for 3 plus years now. We don't know any other way. That being said. It's difficult to find yemenites in our community, well because there aren't any. Is this something your school does or can you recommend anyone?

I wear the lavush more as a protection for me and a reminder of who I am and what I Stand for and try to set the example. Very difficult!
