Hey Nash, thanks for the question! In reality, it's up to the trader to decide on which periodicity is appropriate for the CCI. In the video, we stuck to the default setting of 20; however, you can adjust the period to be anything you want. The general rule is the greater the number of bars, the fewer times the CCI will move outside of the +100 or -100 levels; the fewer number of bars, the more often the CCI will move outside of the +100 or -100 levels. Ultimately, the choice is yours!
When Welles Wilder created RSI - he set 14 periods as he was linking RSI to the moon cycle of 28 days - then 14 became the norm, but you can use whatever works for you - If you apply 14 periods on a WEEKLY chart, then it will be
