I'm personally excited. I can't wait to get this game for the PS4.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but while the series is sort of based on the systems introduced in the NES game Final Fantasy 2, the series started with three Game Boy games and then three SNES games, etc. I'm not aware of any NES versions.

Very unlikely. Unlike the 3DS, PS Vita is nearly dead in the west, so I don't think western publishers will invest in this Vita exclusive. It has been almost 1 year since this game came out and no news about any localization. It's a shame, really.

I've always thought of Unlimited SaGa as Japanese D&D, it's interesting to see them continue down that path. The SaGa series in general has always been really interesting, too bad this is probably never coming to the West.

Guess it's okay this one stayed in Japan. It looks like The Alliance Alive is striving to harken back to the strong days of Saga, the Frontier and Romancing series.
Alliance Alive has a HD remaster coming out this month. Scarlet grace I being localized too, along with Romancing SaGa 3.

You don't play SaGa games for the story or character development, you play SaGa games for their fun battle systems, weird mechanics and AMAZING soundtrack!

The story in this SaGa is way simpler, though. Some aspects of the presentation, too.

*sigh* I hate when people say stuff.
Except Saga series is way more innovative then Octopath Traveler. As in Saga 2 had robots as playable character, and i'm currently playing Saga Frontier, where one of characters is a woman in jail.
Is Scarlet Grace full of odd, playable non-human characters like the past SaGa games?
I didn't find any in my 4 playthroughs. This game has many optional events, paths and characters, so maybe there's some and I just missed them, but at least this means it's not filled with them.
@@GANGRELION how to recruit?
Characters are usually recruited by playing with a specific protagonist and visiting a specific location at a specific time. I don't think it's possible to recruit all characters in just one playthrough, seeing how each hero has its own unique companions. At least it wasn't on the PS Vita version.

There's not much in common between those 2 games, so I can't say for sure. If I were to compare to other game, Dokapon Kingdom would be the closest thing.

It’s funny how that generic rpg Octopath Traveler , system jacked this series.
I haven't played Octopath just yet, so that's interesting. Will keep that in mind when I finally get to play it!
