He seems like a cool dude. Love how he admits his stuff is just a take on existing circuits. All these boutiques pedals are, whatever the creators say. Awesome player too.
if you dont have money and want the Piercing Moose, the Joyo Voodoo Octave is very similar. I have one and can't vouch for it enough. Shop with your ears, not your eyes
YESSS, this is perfect, I love way huge so much, and jeorge is my favorite pedal maker by far, I just have a dream that jeorge would make a reverb pedal
Really nice guy! In late 90s/early 2000s, I took my Green Rhino to his house in Sherman Oaks for repair, and got to see his shop in the garage. Such a congenial guy. Fixed my pedal in about 20 minutes. That was right before he closed up the original run. I had the Rhino, a Llama, and a gorgeous hand painted pointilist Piercing Moose, all of which I stupidly sold around 2005. Great, great sounding pedals. Anyway, yes, Tripps was a quite nice dude.
A really bad relic job. Somehow every string position across the fretboard is worn down after the 21st fret?! And the area you're referring to is actually 2nd position E minor pentatonic. 1st position is up at the nut.
@@XLBiker13 I don't think that's a relic, lol. The wear from the 15th fret to the neck pickup isn't play wear. That's probably from the guitar being in the case a long time, the neck back bowed a little and the strings rested on top of it with the case cover pressing down for a LONG time and caused those streaks you see. The other fretwear from the nut to like the 10th fret is genuine play wear.
So is the Piercing Moose and the MXR La Machine/Sub Machine brothers in a sense? Not sure if he designed the MXR but they sound pretty close for octa-fuzzes! Similar colors too with that original violet...
I bought a fat sandwich pedal and plugged it into my Vox Pathfinder 15R amp and it literally made the thing 3X louder - like 50 watt half stack loud. I had to put it back in it's box because it was just too much of an overload on my neurons. Some day I will have to plug it back in - and when I say loud, I don't mean shitty sounding either - just F'ing loud!
Piercing moose !!!piercing moose!!! To have that octave on a switch is great when u want to get freaky on the neck pick-up ...piercing moose piercing moose !!!!!reissue please please please !!
It’s a matter of taste. The Pickles are great Muffs (used to have the Swollen Pickle). But now I’m rocking a Havalina and it’s just great for Tone Bender fuzz.
I'll admit I have tried AND sold a few of his pedals, tones are great but IMHO you would sell a lot more product if you lose the offensive and disgusting names.
Guy plays like a beast
I love when great builders are great guitar players :)

Classy guy does classy work
They are all pretty amazing. And his playing is great too. Probably the best video I've ever seen on pedals. Awesome work.
Awesome, this guy in the only pedal designer/builder that looks like a normal person. Absolutely. :-)

Can't get much cooler than him! A gift to the guitar world without a doubt!
Love this guys stuff !
For a combination of sound , look and price it's pretty hard to beat .
Saucy Box is hands my favourite drive pedal
I like this guys playing. A lot.
The wear on that fretboard is so weird, the first position of the E minor pentatonic is not worn down at all...

If you watch him play, the wear is exactly where he plays a lot. Not everyone plays the guitar the same.
Lol. Not everyone plays boring pentatonic blues 🤣🤣

your guitar sound is out of phase a bit. it messes with my brain.
Worst pedal-maker of ALL TIME. Shame on him!
