    7 years after you posted these King Quad videos they are still helping people!
    I have a low mileage one in great condition that I run only a half an hour or so a year. Last 10 years or so l use it only for blading snow on the driveway. This year I didn't need to use it but did start it a couple of times. Always siphon the old fuel out and replace it with new fuel and stabilizer twice a year. Today it would not run. Started right up and idled ok for a couple minutes and quit. No go. Pulled off the easiest hose to get at on the carburetor, think it's a vent, and primed the carb through that port and it would run until that added fuel was used up. Did this many times hoping a blockage would clear itself but would omly run until the fuel I primed it with was used up. Clearly have a fuel starvation issue somewhere.
    Thank you for posting these videos. I now have a really clear idea of the fuel circuit to start doing some troubleshooting.

      Thanks, im liking it so far. Its in decent shape, just doesn't look like it with all the plastic and things off of it. I had a quadrunner 250 which is almost identical that I went through and rebuilt the engine on. I sold it a few years ago though. Thanks for watching!

    Got one of them ebay carbs for it and the old one just seemed 2 far gone but it idles high even when with the new one same situation thinking its a vacuum leak some where but I can't find it but it also won't pump gas even if it's running now it does have an extra vent like but I wouldn't think that would effect it not running and not being able too run or idle which I'm pretty sure then lines are ran right but I'm not sure on that first time messing with these bikes

    • @CumminsDriver
      @CumminsDriver  ปีที่แล้ว

      If i remember correctly those aftermarket carbs have two rear vents, and one vent on the front(engine side) of the carb. the one on the front is for a vacuum petcock or fuel pump. If it is left open, it will act as a big vacuum leak. Maybe its possible you have the fuel pump vacuum line on the wrong port which would explain it not pumping gas and also possibly why it has a vacuum leak. Did you try adjusting down the idle? Good luck and let me know if i can help

    You sure know your business when it comes to the King Quad. I'm having issues with mine right now. Not sure if it's electrical or fuel related or both. Mind if I ask you a few questions? Let me know? Thanks!

      @CumminsDriver  9 ปีที่แล้ว

      Mike Winter Thanks! The fuel pump is located back behind the left front wheel tucked under the fender plastic If I remember right. Just make sure if the petcock is working correctly that the fuel pump is getting vacuum. Those lines can get dry rotted.

    i have one of these and a lot of lines were not hooked up to the carb. can you make a quick viedo just showing what line goes to where from the carb?

    • @gordonclegg8376
      @gordonclegg8376 9 ปีที่แล้ว

      Gordon Clegg I think there is supposed to be a fuel return line somewhere and its not hooked up

    • @CumminsDriver
      @CumminsDriver  9 ปีที่แล้ว

      Gordon Clegg Unfortunately I got it all the way together, and got busy and sold it before I had a chance to make a completed video. You may try to google pictures of that because I don't remember now what all was hooked up where. There is no fuel return line though, just a fuel drain and overflow I think. There are a couple vacuum lines and a vent line or 2 that connect to the carb
