In this video I react to Aespa most iconic dance practices, and I go into depth on the level of dancing and main ideas. I explain my thoughts on Aespa's dancing and give my overall opinion.

aespa's 5th Mini Album 'Whiplash' will be released on October 21, 2024 (6PM KST). The Mini Album is going to be great.
aespa was never a mid dancer group but since their debut was during pandemic most of their choreo was based on camera tricks especially savage n next level cuz they had to pre-record every stage. Also their choreographer mentioned that aespa were told to do very sharp robotic style of dance instead of groovy or flowy dance to match their æ concept.
Most of the people in the industry praise aespa for their "iron taste"(k-critics use this word to describe aespa sound) n sharp choreo.

Winter has that effect on people, once you get to know their personalities you will love them even more especially winter. Her persona on screen and her real personality off screen are polar opposites and that's why I love her so much. Please check out their variety content synk road and aesparty, you will have a lot of fun.
Agreed. It's a total whiplash hearingher talk about how introverted she is just after seeing her be this confident and bossy whenever she is performing. 🫶🏻
And just like with Irene, I'm thankful that both her and Winter gets to do what they do. They have the talent and the charisma, and no matter who you may be a fan of, the world would be a poorer place, if they weren't performing.

if you want to get to know their personalities better I would recommend watching their first reality show, Synk Road (its like a road trip mixed with game activities, its not on youtube though), this is pre spicy era but it gives you a really good insight into their personalities and how well they all mesh together not only as a group but as super close friends. Its like 11-12 eps so might be worth watching in your own time (or maybe offering reactions to your patreons maybe? Of course I would not mind seeing those reactions here on youtube too xD). I guarentee, after watching this you will struggle hard not to be OT4 when it comes to biases XD
They also released a reality show with 6-8 eps a few months ago called Aesparty which can be found on their youtube channel that was also really good/fun, but I think going into that after synk road is better since you'll have an established understanding of what each member is like before going in, that one would be great to see as a youtube reaction too.
It would be really cool if you reacted to their videos of moments, maybe you could get a better idea of their personality and finally define a bias hahahaha (not that that's necessary, it's kind of hard to choose between the 4)

Me: yes, that many
aespa as a group was never behind in dance. it's just that they debuted during pandemic, they can't have audiences, and everything has to be limited at every place. their first ever performance with audience is during coachella, which was them already on their 2nd year of debut. so, the choreographers had to adjust to the limitations, and LSM got them to dance in a specific type of dance to match their AI concept. but if you look closely, all their dance moves since debut always demand so many isolations, which not everyone can easily do just by watching and following their choreography. karina and winter often being praised by choreographers. giselle was the only one a little behind when it comes to dancing, but she is actually pretty good in certain type of dance (she uploaded past videos of her dancing during her trainee days and she was nowhere near bad), it's just that aespa's dance style during their early debut doesn't fit her style.
also, (IMO) they seem to have low confidence during their debut, because they had to debut during pandemic, and they even got immense hate even before their debut. it might do some damage to their confidence since they hadn't even started their career yet, but people already sending hate comments, petition to kick member(s) out and even disbandment. they certainly gained a boost of confidence since they started their own concert around spicy era tho.

About the Spotify question: if you asked me two-three years ago I'd unroll a list to the floor like that SpongeBob meme, but, right now it's three (aespa, Dreamcatcher and SHINee), but, at the end of the day, it doesn't really matter, no one's written a rulebook on how many groups a person's allowed to like, dw about it, lol.

I have many groups I like but only add songs that fit my style (so just favs from each group). But most songs I think are from Blackpink, Kiss of Life, Babymonster actually and bg: Ateez and a little bit of Stray Kids. Solos as well.
But you shouldn’t care. Your gems are yours and you are the only one who can decide how many fav groups are „enough“, not us - our opinions shouldn’t care.
Edit: Just looked it up, I also have much XG, Itzy and (G)-Idle. A little bit of Le Sserafim as well but I find their songs wear out very fast because of repetitiveness so I delete them after a while again.

ooh, was not expecting a dance practice reaction to Aespa, awesome. If you ever want to do a part 2 of dance practice reactions, I'd love to see your reaction to the Illusion dance practice (one of their more popular b-sides if you're not familiar with that song, it never got an MV but the dance practice got a lot of views on the sm dance channel).
As for my gems, or favorite groups. I rank them based on how many songs of theirs I have playlisted on spotify, although my #1 group goes beyond that since I watch everything they release on their youtube channel/ instagram etc too.
