Aww I wish I’d watched this last night, before I tried to unravel a skein. I have a hot mess to deal with today 😩. Thanks so much for showing us how it should be done. I will be definitely be trying this in future.
This IS pure genius!! Thank you so much for sharing this. I had just spent well over an hour, trying to wind a 15 yard skein of perle cotton into my wrist. I have very small hands, and was worried it wouldn’t work for me. But I’m thrilled to say that your technique took only a very few minutes and without a single snag or knot!! Very impressed!!
Thank you, this is a fantastic tip! I found you because one of your button-a-days showed up on Pinterest. I'm very happy about finding you because I've been searching in vain for passementerie guidance beyond simple tassels.
Genius! I have a swift and that's great for skeins of many yards--such as you might buy to knit a sweater. But getting it out for a skein that is actually very little yardage is a bit of a pain. Thank you for this video.
Thank you so much for this video. I have just started using this thread and the first two skeins got so tangled it took me almost two hours to untangle them. I tried your method and it worked perfectly!
Thankyou, thank you thank you, I have been driving myself nuts undoing the knot, then while I wound it on my plastic piece, it took me hours, of frustration knots knots knots!!!why don't they sell this yarn in a ball in any case really appreciate your method!! Toronto ON

I tangled 2 skeins up and then hoped I could find help on you tube. Thank you so much!!!

Thx for this tutorial! I used a piece of cardboard as a spool and glued the DMC label on cardboard to ID Perle cotton color code.
Oh, man, this is much more effective than my technique of hanging it from my wrist and hoping for the best.
Excellent. Thank you. I just inherited a lot of threads and am trying to unwind them onto my storage system.
I've just received my very first order of Dinky Dyes silk threads, so this was really useful! Thank you 😊

So helpful! Thanks very much!❤
Glad it was helpful!
Love this!
Thank you!
super helpful!! thank you!!
Why can’t they be wound into little balls at the factory? These are nice to look at but such a pain to deal with. Thank you for the no tangle method.
I admit I quite like skeins because I can include them in kits, and they can still be sent in the post on the less expensive option 😀
@@GinaBSilkworks - Good point - I hadn’t thought about that! Much flatter than a ball.
Thanks!!
Thats brill 👍
