I’ve owned “American” and “German” rotties. Currently I own two from Serbia. They were all of sound temperament but for beauty and superiority in every way, you cannot beat rotties from Eastern Europe.

Pretty much same with all breeds. People breeding shit bloodline dogs with good bloodline dogs is how we have so many "variations" of dog breeds. Same with all species on earth. Even the same with people...

I kind of hate the breed standard, it lowers the overall performance of the dog, doesnt breed for the right temperament or intelligence, just appearance, and it lowers their health thanks to aiming for harmful traits like a rear end that's prone to hip dysplasia vs the non breed standard ones. My dog is 9, non breed standard, and pretty healthy

I miss my fat headed German rott....we had a beautiful 13 long years with her and I can't bring myself self to get another....she was so obedient n loyal...watching these videos of these amazing fur babies bring me joy....
They sure leave a hollow in your heart when they go - so sorry for your loss Catherine. My big boy used to come to our bedside every night before we were asleep and thump his shoulder into the side, waiting for a goodnight pat. For a month after he had passed I still felt the bed shake last thing at night. 13yrs is a good lifespan - shows what good German breeding efforts can achieve.

Had Rotties for over 20 years now - non on them would win Crufts by all the snobby standards - I’ve always have a boy and a girlie for harmony, all my boys have been soppy lumps and companions to the more protective girls - I’ve always left my back door open and never once been robbed, even a soppy boy barks but the girlies would do the munching, lol. Normally I rescue them but for more time with them I decided to get a puppy, after 17 years I remembered why - if your house proud don’t get a cute little fluffy Rottweiler puppy - my Belladonna is nearly 6 months old now, house training was a dream due to the breeds intellect and my Leo teaching her but has teethed on just about everything I own, lol. Has got the last of her big teeth now and things will get better I hope, lol. Highly recommended rescuing this breed, great with kids and loyal to a fault, I’ve had a few really abused dogs, starved, battered and just chained to a wall coz the owners couldn’t handle them and they have all just been amazing, with loads of love and food the will just devote themselves to you. Would I get another puppy? Ask me again in another 17 years lol. Thought this was too long to read to end I could of listed the things she’s destroyed in the past 4 months, lol.

He is talking about a puppy, have you ever raised a 6 week old Rottweiler puppy? I doubt it, cause they chew everything... I've raised two puppies, they are the most adorable animals but also devastating with regards to furniture and window sills... Does that mean that I am lazy and not walking him enough or just that this asshole is just a "troll"... You be the judge...

The best rottie is my rottie. He's not super huge but he's left me seeing stars when ill timed kiss on the head leads to me head butting a skull that is like a mace. And God forbid he lays on top of me when I'm laying on the couch. Dog feels like another human, or like he's filled with cannon balls. When they say rotties love their owners, that is not a joke. Because my boy is clingier than wet paint. If I sleep, he has to sleep with me. If I stop walking while he's following me, he tries to sit between my legs like a military dog. I've lost track of the number of times he's almost tripped me. I swear one day I'm gonna start walking and end up galloping across the yard on my dog. But for all his quirks, God I love him. That boy is a true companion. I've had 4 rotts in 25 years and every last one of them was to die for. Best breed ever, man's best friend perfected, and just about the best lifeform on this planet.
I know of 2, American and German. I Have and like the German line, they are heavier but good weight, darker, and a block of a head. States rotties have longer snouts. German line I believe is closer to their working roots then the American. I breed them for myself. I give away some to families who still work the land around me, after I pick the ones I want to keep. This summer will be my 4th lot, in 15 years or so. I think the rotties German and American certain lines mine being one, are the best all around breed. Family, Work, guard, hunting,bitework whatever they can do it all, and work extremely well in packs.

I have Roman Rottweiler, his name is Axel. He is so full of love and so beautiful. He is big doggo and bark so loud and deep I think the neighborhood heard him everytime he barks. I would never find a dog like him. He is just gorgeous and lovable, yet very protective and smart.

We have a Rotty/Chow-Chow mix. This dog was very-well socialized as a puppy. This 110 lb. dog only lives for two things...to eat and to be loved on by people. A very lovable dog!

Out of all the pics, 5:52 had me!
Got two dobermanns one German line and other American line. German line is smaller and slender, while American line is muscular and taller. The hardware ( physical) American line won, software (temperament, reliability) the German line won by a long shot. My two different experience with this two dogs. First the German line would stand his ground and protect his owner. But the American line would run for his own safety first and left his owner with 5 angry dogs rushing forward. For me if it runs it is definitely an American.😁

I have 2 Roman / von German rottys and the biggest threat they pose is knocking people down to lick them . I swear my female wines at the drive thru because she wants them to pet her . My male is just happy to hang out and follows his sister .

@@maxavibemaxavibe6899 update omg Its been awhile since I had a dog this smart, brave, and stubborn lol. to watch her grow has been a journey. im use too pitbulls and smaller dogs this our first roc if you don't socialize them early you can almost forget about it.. she can barley get on the couch and barking very aggressive when ppl even get close to our door let alone knock, or if people get close too the kids she stop what she doing, run up barking and growling. Amazing how protective at 4 months the Amazing guard dogs. At the Sametime soo lovable to us and smart so stubborn you gotta have time for them. Great investment

Giggles there is a difference...I have had a Roman Rottie....they are larger, heavier with bigger heads, I had a male who weighed 160 pounds and very mastiff like, he was very protective of me...German Rottie is smaller and most likely inherit hip problems, I now have a female and she’s awesome...
Love to have a german rottweiler female I use to have one very tame with family very good watch dog I miss my girl 😔 after couple years had pass now I'm ready for another female they the best ❤ I kept my girl tail nothing wrong with that :)
I had a female with a tail. I have never gone to a breeder. Only shelters and rescues for me. She was a delight. Beyond completing a basic manners class I really did not do any additional training. She was great with kids. She even won my mother’s heart and she doesn’t really like dogs.

Mine eats anything, I dropped an egg bringing them in from the chicken coop, and when I came back to clean it off the porch I walked over to find out my dog had eaten the raw egg and shell right off the porch. Eggs, egg shells, raw cabbage, blue berries, sriracha hot sauce, grass, chili peppers, it doesnt matter. Goddamn garbage disposal on 4 furry legs

My Little man's dad is from Germany and is 180 pounds. His mom is American and about 120 pounds. At 8 months now he is 85 pounds. Can't wait to see how big he gets.

1.those with mutilated (docked) tails.
2.those with mutilated (clipped) ears,usually found in America.
3.those that have not been mutilated to make them more pleasing to the human eye.
