How Windows sounds in startup/shutdown sequence sound exactly like in real life, and some oddities:
*1.* Windows 1.0 and 2.0's fake startup sounds are just high-pitched audio edits of the Windows 95 startup sound. In reality, there was just no sound at all. No noise, no instruments, no acapella or adlib, no audio, just purely muted, enhanced silence and absolutely nothing at all.
*2.* The very first startup sound that involves graphical environment Multimedia Extensions is Windows 3.0, which sounds like a door opening, but not the belltree.
*3.* The Windows 3.1 startup/shutdown sound originally did not have denoised sounds even if it's a bit low quality. It can be remastered to CD quality using a synthesizer named Korg M1, thanks to Church of Kondo. It resembles a perfectly recreated tada sound, but with high quality brass.
*4.* The only operating system that included split startup sounds and instrumental renditions is Windows 95. It was found inside of a hidden folder, thanks to David (Aw, seriously?) Mounder.
*5.* Windows NT 4.0 is the first operating system to run VEGAS Pro, according to Carlos Virgílio's community post.
*6.* Windows NT 5.0's shutdown sound does not use the startup sound of Windows 2000 builds 1946-1999 and 2031. Instead, it uses the Windows NT 4.0 shutdown sound.
*7.* Windows Whistler's startup/shutdown sounds are fake. The startup sound is just a mashup of the reversed Windows 98 shutdown sound, reversed Windows 2000/ME startup sound and the Microsoft Entertainment Pack - The Puzzle Collection level up sound slowed down 2×. In reality, it uses Windows XP startup/shutdown sounds.
*8.* The only Windows XP build with the official quality is Build 2481. The startup/shutdown sounds are default, and will play the Windows 2000/ME startup/shutdown sound.
*9.* Windows Server 2003 does not use the audio of the Windows Server 2003 animation as the startup sound in the United Kingdom (British) version of the operating system. Instead, it again just uses the Windows XP startup sound.
*10.* Windows Longhorn and Vista Beta's startup/shutdown sounds are fake. It uses the Samsung sound scheme (or theme) for Windows XP startup/shutdown sounds. In reality, it uses just Windows XP startup/shutdown sounds.
*11.* In Windows 8, up to Windows 10, the startup sound actually uses the Windows Vista/7 startup sound when you enable the startup sound through an operating system.

Correction: Windows Whistler actually uses Windows 2000/ME startup/shutdown sounds, not XP.

The Windows XP animation also has the startup sound in the audio, though nobody did one for a Kyoobur9000-esque I Accidentally X video. For common sense, use "[LOUD, FLASHY]" if a video is loud and flashy. If it's loud, use "[LOUD]". If it's flashy, use "[FLASHY]".

If you have any Operating System Mockups #75 ideas in a rather integrative and constructive way, read his whole comment before making ideas. Feel free to answer one of the 6 questions as well.
(Video is not shown, because TH-cam keeps deleting my comment.)
