  • Winter sports like snowboarding and skiing during the spring move energy in several meridians from an acupuncture theory. The winter governs the kidney and urinary bladder meridians. The spring governs the liver and gallbladder meridians. Exercising in nature during the change in season helps balance these meridians and free course one's qi (energy). These meridians are associated with fear - kidney and bladder, and depression and frustration - liver and gallbladder. According to acupuncture theory, it can be very beneficial to "move your qi" out in nature during the change of seasons, such as snowboarding. Of course, check with your health care professional before attempting any new exercises if you have health care concerns.

Wow! I had not thought along the lines you have related the outdoors/snowboarding and the healing effects on meridians. It makes such good sense.
    Love the video and scenery.
