  • Today's video is my first ever attempt at carving a spoon. I started with a log from the firewood pile, that came from a 100 year old cherry tree. I chose to challenge myself on the toolset, using a splitting mall and axe to reduce the log, while carving with a tomahawk, knife, and surform. A drill was used to create the hole in the handle. This was a long and tedious process, but I was very happy with the end result.
Leave me a comment and let me know what you think, and if you like the video I'd appreciate a thumbs up and subscription!

Love this! I've also been crafting with wood lately and that cherry is gorgeous!

Thank you! I’ve been a little low on the saber motivation lately, which is sad. But woodworking has been calling me. Every time I try to make lightsaber videos, I end up frustrating myself or losing interest. Alas, it will come back around.
