@@danielleppington It has been a very good season so far. I have adjusted to the 2 stroke well and like how it fits my riding. I am heading to Van Island next week on the 390, which will be an adventure.
Thanks for the video. The thought of riding out to Ruby Falls has been intriguing but until now most videos I have seen were 4x4 or ATV. so yeah, not going to be doing it on my ADV bike. Maybe not on any bike. The images will have to suffice.
I used to ride an adv bike but honestly going to these places has firmly set me into dual sport mode. A skilled rider could adv it but dual sport definitely preferable.
@@danielleppington And that is where the likely 20+ differential in our ages comes into play. To be clear, I am not the younger one. Ha I did Telkwa Pass in 2020 on a CRF 250 and I would highly recommend that to you. I might try to push my CB500X through, but not solo.
I visit Ruby several times a year and always wondered how a bike would do on the trail as some of the river crossings have loose rock. It was nice to see your perspective of the trail. Is it safe to assume a bike would take the bypasses on the muddy water holes in the first section of trail after the 1st water crossing? They can get quite deep. Great video!
Bypass? LOL. Do tell. We went in on the south trail, if I hadn’t mucked up my entry on the north one I’m sure we could have done that one but went in too slow. Definitely do though
@@danielleppington Just referring to the multiple ways you can pass the mud/water holes at the bottom of the hills in the first section of the south trail. Going straight through them is fairly deep muddy water, which I assume would be too deep for a bike, but they all have little bypass trails, mostly for ATV's on one side or the other. Kudos to you guys if you went straight through them, I wouldn't have the nerve on a bike.
Stunning place. Great narrative.
What an amazing adventure and video ! Thank you.
Thanks, hopefully many more to come. So many places to see
That was some journey and the destination was well worth the troubled day. A positive was no flat tires. Thanks Daniel.
I’ve had pretty good luck flat wise out side of racing but yes, definitely not a good place for a failure. How’s the season been down there?

Great vid! 👍👍
Thanks. Appreciate it
That was an amazing run, thanks for filming!
Next time more DR content

Spirit West in Calgary will do the repairs to your gear
So what brand was the crappy tent?
Mckinley. I’m hoping it was a one off but it was terrible. I know it’s not premium but it honesty probably wouldn’t survive 10 uses
