I love the frame look. The cards are beautiful. Even the accident that turned out really great. Just goes to show you that there are no mistakes in card-making. There is always a way to correct an accident.

Love all these cards! As much as I admire dimensional designs, I mail most of my cards and frankly it’s a hassle worrying if the dimensional features will survive transit. As a result, I’m always on the lookout for creative and elegant single layer / flat inspiration. You’ve also succeeded in helping me appreciate the more “artsy” layered stamps (peach card); I’m a big fan of Altenew’s layered flowers in general, but until now have avoided the stylized flowers.
these cards are gorgeous! i needed to watch the tutorial because i couldn't figure out how you did the frames. very cool. i am constantly amazed how easily u make straight lines. mine would be crooked and my ink would have been smeared all over the place!
Great idea using the thin glue pen. Ow I can emboss my own handwriting. The embossing pens are too thick for handwriting, so thanks for this great tip! These cards are beautiful examples.
Jennifer, I think we must be related. I made a card today and “mysteriously” got some ink smudges on my one layer card. Needless to say, out came the dies and I now have a layered card...just like you! Beautiful cards and a great idea for one layer cards..thanks for the inspiration💕

I know this is an old video, but it’s never to late to say it: a) great video and b) Altenew, IMO, is next to none with the guides, masks (negative and positive space), and stencils that all work together.,
I like the image on the pink card a lot better than if it were not on it. Love it! Happy accident about the smear on the original design. That certainly doesn't make the card that much thicker. Love your work.
