destiny, you have to TRUST THE PROCESS with zodiac academy. PLEASE TRUST ME. i didn't like book 1, i gave it a 3 stars and i was really hesitant about continuing the series. but i continued and oh my god??? i am now in love with the world and the characters. it takes a bit of time but its so so so worth it!!!!
Was coming to say this same thing! Book 1 is my least favorite by FAR. Honestly almost didn’t read the second book but am SO glad that I did, I LOVE the series and am almost to the last book. The thing I tell people is if you’re looking beautiful, serious writing, you won’t find it in ZA. But, the storytelling is so enthralling, it’s an emotional rollercoaster, there’s amazing character development, beautiful relationships, and characters that I despised and now adore. It’s also hilarious. The series doesn’t take itself very seriously and was self published, so you have to go in prepared for a bit of cringe and spelling errors. Lastly, the bully element does go away after like book 2, and the bullying isn’t unique to the main characters - it’s kind of just how this world works

you have to read zodiac academy!! the first book is just okay but the books after are so good (they are long so prepare for that). the found family in this series is truly one of the best!!

I just finished book 7 in Zodiac. I gave the first book 3 stars, but am really loving it now. It really doesn’t hit its stride until book 3. Go in with low expectations on writing and pacing. The main characters are what made me want to keep going.

Zodiac Academy is SO GOOD! And I just finished Phantasma and LOVED IT. It’s definitely an adult version of Caraval.
I just finished Truly Devious and I must say it is such a good and fast-paced mystery. I personally really loved the characters and how the author presented them. I hope you will enjoy this read🔍🧣🍂 love from switzerland❤️

My only advice for you is to not expect it to be romantasy as it is not 😆
If you haven’t started reading ‘Incidents Around The House’, I recommend audio-booking it! I read the physical and then for giggles started listening to it - it hits so much hard hearing a “child’s” voice narrate it than just reading the physical book!

Zodiac Academy is a trashy good time and while it is kind of stupid, I love it
I love ZA! You have to get through the first book because there is a whole plot as to why the “bullies” acted/act the way they do. That’s a part of the mystery and there is a reason for everything. Just know that’s not the whole series.
I loved a deadly education. It made no sense while i was reading it, but i loved it. The whole series is wonderful. The more i read the more it made sense.

I absolutely LOVE Zodiac Academy, you should definitely read it!! I actually really enjoyed the first book, which I know a lot of people didn’t, but the series itself is so amazing and it’s definitely worth it to try :)

So I’ve just finished ZA3. The first book is okay. It’s a lot of world building and you get to know all the main characters. The second book ends with a bam and I jumped RIGHT into the third book and that’s where it takes off! Kinda like TOG on the pacing throughout the books so far. Now I’m so invested I wanna read all of them sooner rather than later 🤞🏼

The Truly Devious series is my second favorite series, with The Naturals being my favorite. I’m planning on rereading it for the 3rd time sometime this month!

I absolutely LOVED Nothing Like the Movies. I completely devoured it. I am a huge huge fan of angst though and this book was jam packed with it so if you don’t like angst and heartachey storylines then maybe steer clear.
I started Zodiac Academy in September and I ended up reading book 1-6, I'm obsessed with it but I went in with very low expectations! Also Phantasma reminded me of Saw and Caraval.
I was laughing out loud to Assistant to the Villain & the sequel but it has touching moments too! I loved it so much though, I hope you do too!!

I read the first two Zodiac Academy books. They’re fast reads in my opinion. I wouldn’t say they’re Bully “Romance” but more Bully “Attraction” with plenty of options to be attracted to. Heavy on the Bully as is the nature of Fae though. I’m enjoying them.

To speak on my experience of reading A Deadly Education… I DNFd that book 🥲 I personally wasn’t a huge fan of the main FMCs personality, but also I didn’t get deep in the book so my opinion was solely based on first impressions.

I loved zodiac academy!! I will admit that it's not one of those books you go into expecting a literary masterpiece. No, it's just a fun time!! Read up until book 3 and if you don't like it by then, then maybe dnf the series but other than that I highly recommend sticking through it until the end. The characters become your family, its awesome!!

zodiac academy is the definition of bully romance and it gets ROUGH and it is actually more like 3-4 books of it. but it is an interesting world and if you can get past the bully aspect at first and the writing style, the books have such a wild ride! it didn't need to be as long as 9 books but I am glad I read it I enjoyed it quite a bit. the last 3 books are all over 1000 pages each so. but it is a QUICK read
I’m currrently reading Zodiac Academy right now… I have read the first 3 almost 2 years ago but decided to start over.. I really am enjoying it.. The first book is a bully one, but honestly if you just get through the first book I feel like it gets better..

quicksilver was such an unexpected slay for me i was mildly obsessed with that book when i finished, and now its bitter sweet cause though she got picked up by a traditional publisher (yay!!), now the second book is being delayed til next year (nay!!) 😭
Poppy War is my favourite series so Im super excited that its on your tbr. Truly devious was too young for me and I couldnt finish. Deadly eduction is also on my tbr. Im very excited to read Naomi Novik because their books sound so up my alley. Night Circus ks defienietely a fall read. The atmosphere is unmatched but this read was very slow. I still preffered Starless Sea but Ill read anything Erin puts out for the world.

Wanting to start Zodiac Academy but a little nervous about the commitment 😅 plus hearing that the first book is terrible but necessary to power through it for the info and set up 🥴
I highly recommend Dolores Claiborne by Stephen King since you’re wanting to get into his work, that was my first book of his and it’s not straightforward horror like you would expect but it’s incredible and had me absolutely hooked. It was my first 5 star of the year. I also recommend it as an audiobook over a physical read because it just ups the experience!
The Truly Devious series is very addicting, I’m on the fifth book now. I do think A Good Girl’s Guide to Murder is a stronger mystery, Truly Devious and its sequels are fun.
i loved what i've read of zodiac academy so far. i will say, the first book has been the weakest one of the bunch so far. but once you get to the second book, the issues in book one kinda solve themselves and the bigger storyline starts to unfold. don't go in looking for fantastic, lyrical writing. go in with just vibes and you'll be good lol. hope you enjoy your october reading!!!
