Wilt was something else. A lot of people say Wilt's 50.4 ppg season was overrated, citing pace of play and lack of competition as to how he was able to score so much. Well, if it was so damn easy, you'd also expect other guys to at least score in the same neighborhood. Even the prolific scorer Elgin Baylor at 38.3 ppg was not even remotely close to Wilt.
Especially his endurance was a different breed. If you, for example, calculate giannis' numbers up, to where he would play 48 minutes a game(like wilt) they are nearly the same. But even the freak cant stand that many minutes every game so consistently
The NBA was a different “world” in the 60s and 70s, with the Los Angeles Lakers’ legend Jerry West talking to “NBA on TNT” host Ernie Johnson about the time he was playing. West revealed that players were doing other jobs, after the end of the season, due to the low wages in the NBA. As a result, “no one trained year-round then,” Jerry West said.... So stop that myth about Wilt.. If he played in the 90s he would be just a mediocre player.. He was playing with dentists, doctors and architects...
@@vitalpharmacy1318 Yes, that might be the case, but averaging 50 is nothing simple or even scoring 100. Even though he might've only averaged 25 at MAX in the 90s, scoring 100 is still very impressive, even at any level.

MJ has been a scoring champion 10 times, 6 of them have been an NBA champion and he has also been an FMVP. WOW!
Remember he retired for two years, and then came back from retirement and become top scorer again… He could have done 12 times for sure….
he was also all nba defense
0:32 This just shows how truly dominant Wilt was.

Yeah and he used to lay an egg whenever he faced Bill Russell in the playoffs which is more impressive 😂
