J M idk what you’re smoking but I have an SL500 with 160k miles had a CLK500 with 130k an S430 with 190k with no issues whatsoever. The block and the 5speed have all been bulletproof. Other than regular maintenance. The S class the ABC finally went out at almost 200k miles. Ironically way better than American and Japanese cars I owned
Brutal exhaust noise...perhaps even a brutal burnout...but definitely not brutal acceleration. In order to achieve maximum brutal acceleration, the tires have to have brutal traction. This is not achieved by dumping the clutch, or neutral dropping it at 4K RPMs on a road covered in loose gravel.
I also have a clk55 amg and the entire time I’ve have it (12 years) I’ve only replaced driveshaft and 2 sensors other then regular maintenance. It’s the owners that make them go to shit not the car itself
Well, Rolls-Royce are pulling it off, Mercedec can still do it. Just need to figure out how to prevent the petty theft of the emblem. Like i did when i was 10. Not proud of it, but it's easy as fuck.
Jesus Lopez most common thing to do is drop the E55 kompressor engine in. Some people dump the E55 supercharger on the M113 engine. Also some companies make aftermarket supercharges for the m113 engines. There are options.

Hi! I have a CLK55, same type as yours but essentially stock with 146xxxk. Would you recommend doing this kind of work, which would cost me easily 20,000 canadian (I'm estimating)? I'm not mechanically talented so it would be all labor. Or do you think that purchasing a cheap c63 would be better? Legitimate question as I love the clk and have had it 3 years but id be hesitant to go that far with a build with my income. Although I bet your CLK is much faster than a c63 even with the 5 speed. It's lighter and makes more power..
i know its a late reply but, honestly a cheap c63 would probably be better than dropping 20 racks to beef up the clk430. juts watch out for the head bolt issues on the 6.2l engines. Just appreciate it for what it is. I personally have a clk430 and left it stock but keep up on the maintenance 100% and am planning to buy a newer amg or tesla next summer depending on what deals are out there.
hardip singh Nice! For a 430 it would be obvious for me. Since I have a 55 AMg I have a good base to work from which is why it’s hard. I just bough an LSD for it so depending on how that changes the ride I might keep her for a while yet. That 6.2 is monster though :(

@@shameshotproduction my 1st 'big merc' was a cl55. Apart from tyres and fuel it wasn't too bad to maintain tbf. The m113 engines are pretty bombproof, saying that tho i did go through 3 crank sensors in about 18 months of owning it. Not sure if that counts as an engine or an electrical problem🤔 Mine also had some light surface rust on the wheel arches and a few little electrical problems that were more like annoyances than actual problems (sat nav well out of date, some interior/dash lights that weren't worth the hassle if replacing etc) really didn't like the seats tho, felt a bit too 'average'. Merc Should've used the S class seats in the big C classes imo.

Yes, its a same kompressor as in w211 e55, the only difference is that botom end is Stock N/A 55 Amg, its not a M113k Swap, its an N/A +kompressor from w211 e55
