Pure desparation and panic in Byju's body language. Naming a company in line with the founder's surname is probably the worst idea as it only signals dominance and control. Byju's could have been such a game changer and a flag bearer for the entire Indian startup ecosystem. But it's almost a lost cause now, a victim of insatiable greed and ambition.

I don't know what weed was byju ravindran smoking during the pandemic. He should have anticipated that post lockdown when schools reopened his business model was going to succumb. He should have gone for a survival strategy and looked to monetise his products rather than doing aggressive aquisitions.

I really wish more people saw this video...not because of the way Byju or his wife was beating around the bush with every question they were asked, but the way the anchor addressed the whole matter...She was very transparent, polite n very honest in her questions...she was asking what we all had in our minds without any sugar coating in the most polite elegant way possible....straight forward questions with 'no clue what's going on' replies from both of them....when ur not going to give straight forward answers to the most simplest of questions, then there's definitely something wrong n fishy n it's a definite road to failure...

Banks and NBFCs stopped Funding your customers because
    1. Many of them were not able to repay. You just pushed 30k tablet into their throat.
    2. Many of them were not able to cancel the order at your end and stopped repaying the loans (but they didn't understood consequences of credit derating for them).
Overall you didn't create even a minute impact on education. It is just burning money. Nothing more.

First hand experience with byjus, once you pay the money you cannot get the refund if you want it back, even if you call them within the refund period. No way possible, they'll say the accounts team will call in 24hrs but they won't, and you call them the next day the same thing the same dialogue repeats.

    I have 2 questions:
    1) do you provide education for those who can't pay the fees
    2) if some students don't like studies, do you educate them on the field of their niche, like music, sports, cooking etc.
If you don't do anything like above, then you are just making a business and not doing any good for the nation, as everybody can't be good in studies, study is just like an other curriculum activities

Biggest problem was unnecessary scaling that byjus did. Unnecessary investments led to unnecessary growth which led to unecessary pressure from investors which led to unecesaary hiring, unnecessary targets and absolut unecessary and unethical strategies which Sales people used to sell a product. All this ultimately led to bad reviews from customers and that is the reason byjus is where it is now.
If they tried to be sustainable with a small workforce realistic targets the company could've gone a long way. The content of byjus, they way they teach has always been top notch. It literally could've been revolutionary in terms of learning but then greed happened.

Whatever Byju Ravindran says... How aggressive their sales executives talk and the price for 2nd class curriculum says it all that Byjus is not gonna sustain. It eventually has to revise it's sales strategy and also pricing of it's products. I think Byjus is misusing the general strong responsibility that Indian parents feel towards educating their kids to it's advantage. Byjus exploits the parents fears and sell them a very overpriced product that can push the family into a debt cycle. The quality of teaching may be good with Byjus product, but it is too much overpriced that it is sheer exploitation. And what about the stint with whitehat jr... Isn't the parents who purchased them eventually regretted for loosing money.

If they had any regret of firing innocent employees, they should've first fired the Managers who were usually fit for Politics & always had a tussle between employees who worked hard and compensated the work for their manager's minions.
Their work culture had been terrible since the very beginning & whoever were good & if had any good intentions while working in the company - they've left already.
This company will go down soon thanks to their terrible work culture, where Managers are often useless & could be seen chilling around with his minions while other hard working employees work their a&& off & struggling to get any leaves (forget promotions, increment which is usually reserved for the Minions).

Byju mentions that when all the NBFC’s stopped supporting them with loans then the company went ahead and issued loans? I would like to know what does that mean? Does it mean that byju is giving whole credit to the parent and the parent pays the money back to byju in installments? Obviously not 😂.
So basically it means that byju has shifted to a monthly subscription business model from yearly payments. That means a parent who has agreed to pay for an whole year for their child can “discontinue” the monthly payment at any point. 7:18

Whatever justification you give and whatever numbers you throw, the 2022 numbers will look good because in 2021, your base was low. So naturally the growth in 2022 was good. And you are still making a loss. What about that? Talk profits, not revenues Byju's. I am not even getting to your vulturous sales team and the overwhelmingly negative social conversations. What do you have to say about that? I hear impact and education for all and so on so forth. Then might as well declare yourself as a nonprofit and don't talk about revenues. Because revenues mean nothing for businesses if you are making 800 crores loss.

You know the truth...YourStory, BYJU’S told there won't let be any further layoffs, but just a couple of days ago, they laid almost 80% of the engineering team. Research first, before doing any interview. Pathetic stuff going on. Have some moral ethics before doing paid interviews.

Byju and his wife can say whatever they want but they actually just destroyed that sweet learning pattern of school studying and made the school teachers more lazy, and to be less committed to be genuine in teaching the students as they would learn at home or in tuition after or before school regular time. Life value teachings became nil, and the joy of being at school just died...... Old days were the best. Everything had its time in place........ Sad realities.

There are things that I do not agree with. Like their over-aggressive marketing to get the numbers. But on the flip side, they created 50000 jobs in such a short span which no private/public sector was able to create in such a short span. Those jobs are huge contribution to the economy. Hope they get better.
