I just wish the majority of the people in the world would watch actual proceedings like this, the UN General Assembly, the UN Security Council and the governmental proceedings of their respective country as they happen, without commentary instead of the propaganda and opinion pieces that constitute what countries pass off as "News". As far as I know the fact that Russia didn't come to this hearing is because of their many interests, such as regime change in Kiev, recognition of Crimea, DPR and LPR, and most importantly to continue its special military operations. The problem with armed conflict is that we don't know how many destruction a country can do to civilians in times of war. But in IHL, it is forbidden for any country to attack non-military objects. But, a country can attack armed civilian (as one of the belligerent). A country can attack armed civilians that possessed threat because they too become a military person/object. That is why some countries, such as the U.S. and Russia, didn't sign the Rome Statute and doesn't recognize or has withdrawn from ICC as a independent international legal justice. By not signing Rome Statue, then they can't send their soldiers with wrongdoing to the court, thus making its country image in international stage still safe. (Sorry for the bad English).

The problem with armed conflict is that we don't know how many destruction a country can do to civilians in times of war. But in IHL, it is forbidden for any country to attack non-military objects. But, a country can attack armed civilian (as one of the belligerent). A country can attack armed civilians that possessed threat because they too become a military person/object. That is why some countries, such as the U.S. and Russia, didn't sign the Rome Statute and doesn't recognize or has withdrawn from ICC as a independent international legal justice. By not signing Rome Statue, then they can't send their soldiers with wrongdoing to the court, thus making its country image in international stage still safe. (Sorry for the bad English).
Russia has killed more civilians that soldiers. At this point more than 7 Ukrainian hospitals have been totally destroyed. Do you want me to continue?
