The tank is looking good! I always advice my friends and family to look for local breeders to avoid those problems you had... I just bought 15 bloody mary shrimp for my new setup from a local breeder and they look amazing and they were crazy cheap. I hope you can find those too!

I do the same drip method with my shrimp using a knot in airline tubing. But I believe that if they have been in transit for over 2 days rather just add them straight in after floating the bag as long as the after is kind of similar in TDS. That’s for Cherry shrimp which are quite hardy. I have only had them and Amano shrimp. My shrimp were also locally bred in similar water so the acclimation wasn’t as important.

What fish food do you use?
I use Shrimp King complete!
Shrimps will lose some of their colour under stress, give them a couple of weeks or so, they will regain most of their colour.
