Ms Clark makes 1-2 boneheaded plays every game no doubt about it but she throws strikes to her teammates yet they brick layups or completely miss the ball. Honestly she should be averaging way more Turnovers & a least 3-4 more assists which still surprises me. She might do what Peyton Manning did his rookie year, break the TD record for a rookie & lead the league in interceptions. Now that's overachieving.
Then she should cut down on those passes, reduce turnovers and shoot more efficiently. Co-rookie with AR, so far. Should have been far ahead with all the hype and ticket sales. I hope to see her get better in the year (in spite of bad coach and some bad teammates)🤷🏽♂️

She has a marketing degree, so she knows how to use it. She has a bigger brand than the others, and definitely doesn't need their help to continue the "series" she could make whenever: Manning lives in Indy, and has ties to them.

Andrew Reese and Caitlin Clark play different positions. It is not fair to say that a point guard is going to win Rookie of the Year because the point guard always has the ball in their hands. Angel has to fight for points in a different, harder, and more difficult way. This is why Angel should win Rookie of the Year. It's easy for Caitlin to score points, give assists, and do everything else, but it's not easy for Angel to do that. Angel is not going to compete with Caitlin Clark for points because she does not have the ball in her hands as often in her position, but to get tons of rebounds and play defensively in her position is impressive. Also, remember she is playing a small role in a big position. That is the reason why she should win Rookie of the Year. If you ever played basketball, you would know the difference. If you are just watching, you wouldn't know that because it's really not fair that the point guard wins all of the awards because the point guard is the one who always has the ball in their hands. For the other players, it's not so easy. So, people who know basketball and play basketball would understand that.

No, they were embraced by the league, their team-mates and were given respect by all the other players in the league for what it took for them to get to the show, and while they certainly gave no quarter during games, and whether they lost to them or not, they at least respected the individual for being there and having what it takes to play at that level. But thats how MEN are in my experience. Now, you have 12 teams of women, coached largely by women playing for a league run by a woman. And lets be frank here, women can be incredibly bitchy and catty to each other if there is even a hint of competition between them, especially if one of them is an "outsider." That, coupled with the fact that CC isn't part of the LGBTQ+ community gives the mostly gay WNBA player demographic even more reason to hate her. She has a marketing degree, so she knows how to use it. She has a bigger brand than the others, and definitely doesn't need their help to continue the "series" she could make whenever: Manning lives in Indy, and has ties to them.

Andrew Reese and Caitlin Clark play different positions. It is not fair to say that a point guard is going to win Rookie of the Year because the point guard always has the ball in their hands. Angel has to fight for points in a different, harder, and more difficult way. This is why Angel should win Rookie of the Year. It's easy for Caitlin to score points, give assists, and do everything else, but it's not easy for Angel to do that. Angel is not going to compete with Caitlin Clark for points because she does not have the ball in her hands as often in her position, but to get tons of rebounds and play defensively in her position is impressive. Also, remember she is playing a small role in a big position. That is the reason why she should win Rookie of the Year. If you ever played basketball, you would know the difference. If you are just watching, you wouldn't know that because it's really not fair that the point guard wins all of the awards because the point guard is the one who always has the ball in their hands. For the other players, it's not so easy. So, people who know basketball and play basketball would understand that.

I wasn't getting all this CC hate and snubbing until I had the epiphany. Every other major league sports organization has teams of men. Ask yourself this: Would a sensational male rookie that plays like a prodigy get the same hate and bullying from their fellow players around the league? Did Paolo Banchero or Jalen Williams or Walker Kessler get this kind of hate and snubbing? No, they were embraced by the league, their team-mates and were given respect by all the other players in the league for what it took for them to get to the show, and while they certainly gave no quarter during games, and whether they lost to them or not, they at least respected the individual for being there and having what it takes to play at that level. But thats how MEN are in my experience. Now, you have 12 teams of women, coached largely by women playing for a league run by a woman. And lets be frank here, women can be incredibly bitchy and catty to each other if there is even a hint of competition between them, especially if one of them is an "outsider." That, coupled with the fact that CC isn't part of the LGBTQ+ community gives the mostly gay WNBA player demographic even more reason to hate her. Instead of treating her like goose that laid the golden eggs and riding her success and stardom to new height's of popularity and revenues, they instead seem to be trying to get her to quit because she's upsetting their applecart. Crude solution, name the series "The Other Rookies", or do something else in that spirit.

Angel Reese is the clear Rookie of the Year. Period. This shouldn't be based on popularity, how marketable a player is or what they did in college. I attended WNBA games long before I even heard of C Clark and there are better players in the league. Good player but need to continue to work on her overall game (defense and turnovers)
Reese really is just a shoot, miss and rebound player. Easy Stat padding. CC has to really work for her shots when she is the focus of opposing teams defense, as a ROOKIE. More well rounded game too, elite passing that is NBA quality and that most of her teammates can’t even anticipate.
