Synopsis : A new feature-length documentary "MILLI VANILLI," which made its world premiere at the 2023 Tribeca Festival, will premiere exclusively on the service Tuesday, October 24 in the U.S. and Canada, and on Wednesday, October 25 in the U.K., Australia, Latin America, Brazil, Italy, France, Germany, Switzerland and Austria.
Produced by MRC and Keep on Running Pictures, "MILLI VANILLI" tells the story of Robert “Rob” Pilatus and Fabrice “Fab” Morvan, who became fast friends during their youth in Germany. With Rob coming from a broken home and Fab having left an abusive household, they shared a similar upbringing and future goal: to become famous superstars. In a few short years, their dreams came true.
In 1989 their first album went platinum six times in the U.S., and the hit song “Girl You Know It’s True” sold more than 30 million singles worldwide. Rob and Fab, better known as “Milli Vanilli,” became the world’s most popular pop duo in 1990 and won the GRAMMY for Best New Artist. However, their ascension to success came with a devastating price that ultimately led to their infamous undoing.
Having recently premiered at the 2023 Tribeca Festival, "MILLI VANILLI" will make its West Coast festival debut at the prestigious Mill Valley Film Festival on October 13.

Fab & Rob could always sing. Fab has a beautiful voice. Frank the snake didn't allow them to sing. I watched the documentary and was so glad the real story finally came out. Much respect and love for Fab. RIP Rob.❤
I'm glad that true story came out, but I'm also curious Frank side of story, knowing it could be a problem if anyone finds out.
Quite honestly, anyone who has ever been poor and needed a hand up would have done the same thing. They didn’t know what they were signing and they did it because they were young and trusting. We’ve all been young and naive. It’s just that their experience was in front of cameras and the world.
Thank you for your comment, they had a contract that they couldn't get out of it.
Fab is awesome!❤
I agree, he's a genuine artist and good man.
Rob& Fab are already legends. .they repented and we all know that Rob could have rapped- fabrice can sing - and he should have done so but its okay- they are already legends
I never cared that they didn't sing. Sometimes its just about the right ingredients in the package and Milli Vanilli had it. Their appearance and dancing was so electric and the music was good....It was a perfect mix.
I just watched the documentary, when I see the appearance of the representatives of Arista Record I said Wow! finally somebody managed to bring them to interview..that one remain unscathed Clive Davis of course can't be touched by anyone.. Thanks to director Luke Korem 👏👏👏
Hello, could you tell how can I watch the documentary please?

Is it me or is the director Luke koren low-key fine like he has a beautiful smile.
He's also a good man to bring this story to the light.
Could you tell me how can I watch this MRC documentary please?
When did he become a singer ??!!
Rob & Fab were actually a legit singing duo in Europe before they signed with Frank Farian. Look up Empire Bizarre. That was the name of their group in 1987-1988. Also, look up Rob & Fab "Don't Give Up the Fight." They went on a press tour in Europe in late 1990 after the truth came out to show people they can really sing but weren't allowed to.
@@dbrownthegreat Oh, that’s heartbreaking. Bloody manager s. Greed and manipulation. Thanks for letting me know.
Rob and Fab were always singers. Frank Farian didn't let them sing. That's what happened.
fab still sings and performs and he is amazing. i have vids of his performances ny my channel :)
When he was a kid performing for his family. He's never not been a singer...except when he was disallowed.
People using people for monetary gain
An unnecessary source of pain

Yes, we know. He also destroyed them. This is a fact. It is not in dispute.
