I wouldn’t say daredevil was boring but I did kinda lose interest as the show ran on. I loved the first and most of the second series. It made me believe you could do a really good Batman show. The 3rd season I didn’t like. It lost something. Idk? I think budget restraints probably had something to do it.
While I don’t think daredevil on Netflix was boring I can see what he’s meaning here that show especially in the first season has a lot of slow paced episodes and while on the first or second watch you don’t really notice or care, personally the third time I tried rewatching it I just couldn’t get through it because of those slower episodes they aren’t bad but on a rewatch I’m more interested in the same action and big overall plot but not the same character dialogue slow scenes

Boring is inaccurate to describe the Netflix shows' flow. REALISTIC is a better way to put it. Like a police stakeout where nothing happens until...then fireworks, followed by a plausible period for recovery and debrief. Daredevil getting half killed after a real world fight, kind of requires a bit of downtime before he runs off to fight a battle to the death again, including desperately figuring out how to hide long enough to get patched up. That's reality. It's only boring if you think often dealing with broken bones and heavy blood loss is boring.

@@OharaRileyAnd we will still have that. We're not going to drag our feets about certain things that will still have as much time as needed with the dialogues themselves
Okay, I'm not going to give you any hate but the Netflix series is my favorite piece of media I've consumed, but I can't wait for March 4th. It would be different to have more than 13 episodes but I'd like maybe 15 episodes maybe.
What on Earth is this guy talking about? Most episodes of Daredevil have at least one small fight scene in it, with a few really big fights per season because yeah, not EVERY episode is going to be some big flashy fight scene. Not to mention, Daredevil in particular used its time incredibly wisely in my opinion, by actually moving the story along and giving characters character development. Not to mention giving the side characters their time to shine. I was rarely ever bored while watching the show because yeah there may be a few episodes that did not have fight scenes and were just talking, but I was rarely bored because those scenes moved the actual story forward and is what gave the characters such a personality and life to where we love them the way we do today. By the way, you can't even say I have "rose-tinted glasses" of nostalgia because my first time watching the show was 2023, and I literally just finished my second time watching the show a few days ago, so I know what I'm talking about. The show is incredible, and while the fights keep it entertaining, a large part of the show that makes it so incredible is those slower moments where we get massive character development, movement in the story, and some of the deepest and most well-written speeches I have ever heard in my life. You are absolutely insane if you thought that Daredevil was boring, and if you do think that, then maybe you don't care about actual story or characters, which is fine. This was honestly sort of what I was afraid of and what I have been trying to wrap my head around for the past few days. Now don't get me wrong, I still believe Daredevil: Born Again will be awesome, but I was trying to wrap my head around how they would make what was a 13 episode show on Netflix into 9 episodes. I know these are two completely different shows, but how is it supposed to feel true to the original like Marvel has promised after the overhaul while missing 4 episodes? I guess the answer is not putting in so much focus and depth on the characters, which may or may not be too harsh of a statement, obviously only time will tell. However, I do agree with the statement that if you watched one episode a week of the original Daredevil show, you would probably get bored, but Daredevil was a streaming show that released all at once, so it doesn't really matter for that show anyways. They can get away with it because you can watch the episode after it. If Disney wasn't so worried about subscribers and focused on that maybe a lot of Disney+ shows would be better because they wouldn't have to worry so much about entertaining the audience as they would making a good story. I think the only Disney+ show that has done that is Andor, and it worked for the first three episodes because they released at once, but after that, the Heist arc was incredibly boring and slow (even slower than Daredevil for anyone who will call me a hypocrite, each episode until the Heist was pretty much a set-up for the set-up, and in the Heist episode itself, it took twenty minutes to actually get to the action.) The main problem was that they released it weekly. I think everyone can agree releasing a show all at once is the best strategy to give the audience full enjoyment, and is why Netflix is and seems like will always be the best streaming service. They know what they're doing, and Disney is simply trying to milk subscribers, and are failing. The other weird thing about this comment though is the fact that isn't the Punisher showrunner the showrunner of Daredevil: Born Again? How can someone that worked in the format of a Netflix Defenders show call it boring? That seems really weird to me, and I feel like sometimes people really do need to keep their mouths shut because sometimes they make the fanbase more skeptical than excited (case in point every single The Acolyte interview that came out months and even years before we actually knew what the show was about.)

the hell u mean it was boring? it was some of the best tv we ever had, fix the title armin.
I wouldn’t say daredevil was boring but I did kinda lose interest as the show ran on. I loved the first and most of the second series. It made me believe you could do a really good Batman show. The 3rd season I didn’t like. It lost something. Idk? I think budget restraints probably had something to do it.
Hopefully fixed the initial problems.
When was Netflix show boring?
No one is saying that
@@terrellthaddies7867the guy in the video?
@@Url_SethDid u watch the rest of the video to know the full context that it has nothing to do with the overall show itself.
It's about the huge amount of downtime for 2-3 episodes of not doing anything and repeating the same topics
@@terrellthaddies7867 when? what episodes? I literally just rewatched season one last week
@@Url_SethEvery Marvel Netflix show, had filler due to the budget
13 Episodes was too much per season. Let’s be honest.
How was it too much
Stupid hightlight. If Netflix DD was boring, would there be a season 2, 3, now 4?
Guys here is word for word what the article says (Armin Paraphrased/Summarised it):
"There is more fun in the moments with these characters and a lot less navel-gazing than before," he says in the new issue of SFX magazine, which features Daredevil: Born Again on the cover and hits newsstands on January 29.
"The earlier show, at its best, was fantastic. At its worst, it was two characters in a room talking about what a hero is. I felt that had been done. I'm not taking swipes. I just didn't want to hear characters grousing about their lot in life. I wanted to see them doing things."
One of the major changes he made was with the pace of scenes, Scardapane says, referencing his time on The Punisher. "One of our edicts was longer scenes," he recalls. "You had these long five-page scenes of characters hashing it out in order to make space between these massive action sequences. The way stuff has evolved since then, we're able to do big action sequences at a lot more pace.
"I really feel that Netflix's Daredevil, which I know in my blood, was much more noir, and this show is more New York crime story," he continues. "It has elements of The Sopranos and King Of New York. There's a feeling for those classic '90s crime tales. It has a pace and a scope that, for a lot of reasons, Netflix wasn't able to do. They were very dark, cinematically, not necessarily story-wise, although there were some dark elements. We're much darker."
Daredevil on Netflix wasn’t as good as Jessica Jones. It did have some random slumps. I hope they really make it more fast paced and action packed.
Dialogue was the best part of the series and (hall way scene) Comic books are mostly dialogue what are we even talking about?
That's not what is being said. He's mainly talking about the downtime that lasted 2-3 episodes that repeats the same topics
@@terrellthaddies7867 and? did the cross dialogue not let us feel involved in the whole series one of the best parts was when foggy and Matt were speaking about the morality of him being dare-devil
Could have just condense it to like a paragraph or two but I see what u mean
But that's not the issue. It's the slow moments where repeats the same thing

@@JLOCC23424I love Netflix's Daredevil so much especially for S3. I can’t WAIT to hear how Campea spins this one. 😂😂😂😂😂😂😂
Why?
Campea doesn't like this quite from the new director. He says that the old show was amazing and the new director doesn't understand what made Daredevil great to begin with th.
@ Because it's pure comedy to hear him spin clear fails by Disney/WBD as successes, then use pseudo-logic to (try to) explain how he's not bought and paid for by those studios. 😂
