- I cooked tea tonight for a change. I give Chris a brake from making tea. Connor wanted healthy kieron wanted something else. So I managed to do both teas at the same time. Also a chat about foods and autism. It isn't easy to feed them. But we get it and find ways get nutrition in them. #autism #christhebutcher #review #foodies #teamctb #family

Great video, Lou and fantastic, You're highlighting how a normal family prepares meals on a daily basis for children or adults with selective diets. Watching this was like walking into our kitchen with Karen cooking for us. We love you guys ❤

Good evening Lady Lou,what a bloomin great video. It was so interesting & informative to see and hear about food and Autism. Sadly I like many other people have no idea about this subject. As we all know children can be picky with their food ( when I were a lad, I'd never eat the white of an egg) And we also know that some of them will push their luck,just to eat chips every day. However when a child has a diagnosis of a recognised illness and have selective diet, we will always be ready to go the extra mile. Its not as someone said about the cooking. I spent over 50yrs as a chef, and what people want to eat( this is the same for older folks) its not about how it looks, it's how they feel, it's wired into the brain. I can tell you, even for a professional it can be hard. As a working mum, and even we blokes admit now. You gotta be Wonder Woman (plus 🥴😵😵💫) just to get through the day. So you can carry on doing what your doing, but take time for yourself. Sorry its been a long one, but we care about you and your family. Hug, hug and lots of love Allan&Family xxx
Aww thank you Allan yes allways have to go the extra mile regarding food. Make sure they don't get malnourished. Connor isn't as bad now but kieron is a nightmare with food. . Sometimes it's the textures the colours how they feel. I forgot to mention that. At min I only work weekends , I do fo bookings and advertising through the week which I don't really class as working . I'm still trying to learn to drive so I can take some of the driving off Chris bless him. Now they back in school I can rest uo a bit until the next holidays lol 6 weeks lol aww ty allan xxx 😘🥰
Great video Lou food looked delicious just as a thought rather than mayo maybe try olive oil and another heathly thing u could have put in there if conner likes it tho is tinned tuna it has heathly oils nd beneficial and heathly omega 3 just a suggestion if u don't mind love it though 😘don't worry u will be able to do out eating reviews as kieron gets older and tbh u shouldn't have to justify urself much love hun xx😘

Firstly over the years us watcher know your great parents. stick with Connor as best as you can. Maybe the lil lad will see what's happening and thinks f that I'm gonna be chilled

Sorry for the question Lou, I have twins just turned 3, who are on the spectrum, I know everybody is different but how old were your boys when they started talking? My 2 used to say a few words but have now forgotten them, they are non verbal
Aww no worry Connor was 5 when he started speaking so he was none verble till he was 5. Kieron was talking at the right age . Both Connor and kieron are at separate ends of the spectrum. Xxx 😘🥰
Hope Connor ate it Lou . Cold it'll be a good packed lunch for him too .
Shame he won't eat tomatoes or peppers as that splash of colour would have lifted the pasta .
A vinegrette might be better than mayo , that's assuming Connor would eat it .

Lou, buy the vinegrette put some on a plate just a little and get Connor to try it . French bread is great to dip in it .or just try a little on a teaspoon

Not because he's on the spectrum, its tha cooking ffs. Red hot pasta with lettuce. Horrible. Also you realise all kids have fads? Ask any mother. I've 3 and they all go through food fads. One week they like, another the don't.
Sorry I'm not a cook just doing some quick cooking. I didn't want to wait to put stuff in lol. My boys both have a diagnosis for autism and yes all kids have fads but autistic kids it's more of an obsession they will refuse to eat anything else. Thank you for you input xxx

I agree, Lou as children on the spectrum have a totally different mindset that can be complicated but how you have put things is a great way to show how you can make sure they are sustained given the limitations of what they are willing to eat ❤@TheHopwoodShow
