All Ah We Own - NE Tobago Marine Area

This feature focuses on the marine area of North East Tobago. This site, beginning at the village of Castara in north Tobago and sweeping round the eastern tip of the island to Roxborough in the south, is home to a vast array of underwater sea life including fish and coral reef formations and birdlife on small offshore islets. These natural assets support diverse livelihood activities including extractive use by fisherfolk and non-extractive use by recreational divers and bird watching tours. A growing guest house community is also supported by the natural richness of the site. Learn more about the site which is proposed for management as a marine protected area.
