11:50 Note if you are dualbooting Windows: you SHOULD set "Hardware clock in local time zone" because that's how Windows likes it and AFAIK there is no option in Windows to use UTC. If you leave this option unset, then when you boot back into Windows your system time will likely be messed up. Many programs and protocols DO NOT like it when your system time is out of sync.

@@belaruscitizen Why ubuntu? For this man it's better to choose kubuntu, but it is still worse than a manjaro, I think that it's the most user-friendly distro; for you I'd recommend Debian, because "it's very stable"

    • @belaruscitizen

@@MakCFeeDlMasterFire, when I said Ubuntu, I was meaning any kind of Ubuntu based OS. It's best choice to transfer from Windows because Ubuntu based OS more stable, supports more hardware, has less bugs, has more software.
I've seen many laud in TH-cam about Manjaro, so I decided to choose it as OS for work after many years of Ubuntu and a few years of Ubuntu Mate. After installing of Manjaro Gnome I faced troubles with updating (that was solved after fixing update was released), not working touchpad (was solved after I spent many time of search how to solve this problem) and absent of working version of Viber (couldn't solve).

Hi, where did you find ChromeOS-dark in Global themes? I checked within Manjaro KDE settings and it only offers ChromeOS Global. Is it the same cause I saw yours is shown as ChromeOS-dark.

Why does my fresh install of manjaro gnome have a warm hue, and less brightness than every other distro i've tried? Even within the same house, Manjaro Xfce didn't do that. Xfce is lightning fast, and boots to desktop in about 3 seconds on an SSD, but I just don't like the UI. I was hoping gnome would be similar, with a better DE, but this color shift is driving me crazy.

Do any of the manjaro distros allow you to open the file broswer as root? I am an plasma, and they have that blocked. As well as opening a text editor with sudo. It's really annoying.

Most of the apps were Gnome-oriented, I wonder what they are doing on plasma desktop.
I mean these are good apps and KDE plasma work excellent with GTK apps, but...
Why not use KDE-oriented apps which pretty much do the same, but are better integrated into the system?
