Thanks so much for letting me know. It’s more work than people realize. Most everything I post is for 50+. I still have several matches to come from this tournament and a few other things I’m working on.
Thanks for sharing. I had no idea this match was being recorded. I was told at the beginning of the match they are all friends and know each other. Three of them went to the same college. Anyways, it was a very fun match to referee.
Thanks for posting. One thing that caught my eye was the high number of third shot drops that did not lead to dinking rallies. The 4th shots tended to be aggressive and put the dropping team on the defensive. I think part of that had to do with the quality of the drops and part of it was the aggressive approaches on 4ths.
The tournament had over 3,000 players in 8 days of play. Every day was a different group. This day was by 5 year age groups, with a minimum 4.0 skill level.
Look for an open hand, means they are going to switch places after the first hit. It’s called stacking. A fist means they will stay on their side. It’s much more common when you have a left handed player, they are stronger with both of their forehands in the middle. It’s also useful to change positions if they want a different look or strategy.
The woman in blue, Jenny I think, lost most of the points where she hit or attempted a lob. She would have had a better percentage of winning points if she abandoned the lobs in most cases. Her other shots were pretty good.
I would appreciate multiple camera angles, and possibly comment as the session proceeds. I think eliminating some background noise would be helpful. Thanks for posting.
Thanks for your comments. I can barely get to a match in time with one camera, let alone two or more as the location is not known until called. I will try to reduce the speakers as background noise. Post commentary is being looked at and a trial match is about to be released. It comes down to how much time do I spend editing. It’s a lot already.
@@ChrisStageman I understand Dupr is based off of results which goes to my point that top players don't bother if there's no real prize money. See how they had to combine the age classes for lack of entries.
Great video, love the senior match!!! We're not dead yet
Thanks for your comment!
Thanks for taking the effort to record and post, especially seniors. Fun match to watch and really like the boxscore addition. Subscribed

I really appreciate the quality and the box score which is updated with each point and side out occurance.
Thank you so much! 😊
Great video and a great match. Thanks for producing. I'm so glad someone is covering matches for seniors. It's rare to find them. Much thanks.

Thank you! 😊
Great video as I'm interested what the skill level is at this age group...
@@jokieser5988 it was open to everyone with a minimum 4.0 skill level and at least 60 years old.
Good stuff.
Glad you enjoyed it
Nice video.
Is everyone just put together by age? Not level & age?

@@spaghettimanpickleball Good to know, thank you. Sounds like fun!
What kind of things are they hand signaling about?

I think she was battling fatigue and cramps pretty bad. I've seen her play much better than this match.

Like these videos because you can see the whole court. Like the seniors. The guy that kept hitting to the injured woman is a scum. Just saying
The guy with the red hat is a total ball hog. Not cool.
That’s the way some teams prefer to play. As long as both players agree, no problem.
They probably agreed on this. Red hat had many winners when he poached on his forehand side, so it looked like a good strategy I think.
I wanted to do this but I've been told there's no real prize money if any. I guess that's why you get 3.0 players in the final match?
Every DUPR in this match is 5.0 plus......
You sound like someone who’s never even played pickleball before.
There's always one troll in every crowd.
