Cold Steel Leatherneck Sf Tool Knife amzn.to/3zOyCLD
Reminds me of the old Prodigy. Great knife. Maybe that's why they are trying to copy n bring it back. Why not just re release the original? Maybe $$$?🤔
For wood use silky saw. Saves time and energy. It is very light and small. Axe for splitting wood. Also saves time and energy. Knife should be used for more delicate work. Leaving out KaBar and ColdSteel knives unforgivable. You should always save energy when in the nature.
This is all they do. Never have the thumb products... and typically the ones in the thumb always seem to be the middle man / most common & affordable of the overall shown lol
I get the whole thumbnail click bate thing, but what I wanted to see in this video and the one in que, is the knives you Actually have in the video. So maybe at least add them in the description box
Bruh the last knife cutting the ribs....i mean yeah cuz it just cut the meat i'm the middle of the rib bones....if You smack it thru bones and cut them or break them and still cut meat then would be more presentable to buy
Heya Survival Gear I have a question . On the cover if the video there are two knives with holsters . Whats the brand name of the one on left with yellow tag ?
They had one legit knife in this that could be seen as decent. Personally I like Morakniv because they can out do everything listed here at a fraction of the cost. Now if you want a higher end knife go with cold steel, fallkniven, bench made 202 or 200, and bark river none of these are the best “on Amazon right now.” Because Amazon have fallkniven cold steel and morakniv which once again are way better in performance maybe not price and probably in warranty.( side note here with mora you won’t need warranty due to how inexpensive and tough those suckers are.)
This is just my opinion and I am ano expert , but...in order of presentation: 1. Just seems WAY to big. If you're carrying that much metal, just bring a small hatchet or axe. 2. Nice idea, but it's a Gerber...Don't trust their blades. I had 3 break on me. 3rd time was NOT a charm. Never again. 3. I haven't owned one so I can't say much. I've heard good things and read reviews. Maybe I will try one, but seems based on what I've seen and read its kinda one of those "If it fits your particular style or hand size/grip you'll love it, but if not, you won't". As it is with everything. Can't please everyone. Not a fan of the SCHRADE written big on everything they make though. 4. Cold Steel...another one I might give a try, seems like it'd be heavy. I dunno, but the advertisement for it makes me laugh. GRRRR!!! Kill that piece o' meat! If that were MY pickle jar.."Bruh"...you better eat ALL those pickles or find me a new lid. 5. uh...dude...You technically showed several knives, but only describe (or rather let commercials describe) a total of four. THUMBS DOWN.
The knives in the picture are not the best quality. They were probably used because they just look interesting. I’m betting the one on the left you can find on Bud-K. The one on the right you can find on Amazon for less than $30. It’s made by a company called S-TEC and a closer look will show that the knife doesn’t exactly scream “quality”.
0:45 Striking metal on metal? Hitting the knife with the axe poll? Just WHICH axe or knife manufacturer supports this? DANGEROUS a if metal chip cracks off and flies. Great way to ruin both knife and axe.
everything else i could find on the gerber ultimate has stated it is NOT full tang, I would love to know if it is truly full tang or not.? this video is the first to say it is full tang.
For me personally I was pretty impressed with the Tops I have their Wild Pig Hunter and I've had their dagger and as a matter of fact two of those but $300 for a Kukri type machete, it's badass but no way I would do it! I like the Gerber knife but here again Gerber puts their mystery stainless steel I would never buy it a knife and not know what kind of steel it is they made some Applegate Fairbairn folder they were putting the CPM S30V that was a badass knife too I wouldn't mind having another one but I wasn't too impressed with any of these pics too many gimmicks like fire starters on a knife, if I want a knife I want it to be a good knife I don't need it to have a fire starter attached to it it's like having a fire starter attached to my gun I don't need that either it's a gimmick! Just build a good knife and I'll figure out my own fire starter!
My thoughts exactly. A survivalist does not buy a knife because it has a whistle, a fire steel and a sharpening stone, or because he likes the sheath; a survivalist buys a good whistle, a good fire steel and a very good knife, and then he buys whatever he needs to maintain that knife. Your _main_ survival knife should have a seven or eight inch blade of a steel you can trust. There's a lot to be said for complementary redundancy, so maybe the Gerber would make a good back-up for those tools.
I left my wallet in El Segundo Left my wallet in El Segundo Left my wallet in El Segundo I gotta get it, I got-got ta get it Left my wallet in El Segundo I gotta get it, I got-got ta get it
For the Gerber, Why would they have the ferro rod snap in upside down on the bottom of the sheath? Seems irrisponsible to put your only means of starting a fire in a position where it can dissapear on the trail, and you would never know it was gone, until that is, you needed a fire.
cold steel typical America especially let it be big rather I would die of dehydration what I would drag through a forest of 100kilo iron.ou yeeeah this big yeaaah America 😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂🥳
No 1 , I haven't seen it, don't need to have it , use your axe No 2 usable typical Gerber boy scout Knife, but decent No 3 ok but if you have to advertise a leg restraint, I think its not that good No 4 + 5 not going to happen. zombie knife FFS or pickle jar opener
Umm. Yeah that's what chainsaws and just plain saws are for... Zero need to hack at shit anymore, seriously though a tactical tomahawk takes care of that shit perfectly.

The 6inch sog knife is the best or the 8inch sog with paracord handle or the tactical tomahawk is great as well
4 the cold steel was nice thank you greatly appreciated
My weapon of choise is the ESSE 6 !!!Lifetime warranty..no matter what !!
knives are not weapens they are tools
That cold steel forged knife is crazy
Kukris are useful, and make great choppers, BUT, if you want to cut trees or logsrry a good portable saw.
I like the new Gerber Ultimate Survival Knife. The multifunctional sheet make this knife a very good option for outdoors.
Reminds me of the old Prodigy. Great knife. Maybe that's why they are trying to copy n bring it back. Why not just re release the original? Maybe $$$?🤔
I take it we're eating ALL those pickles this afternoon.....
Wow I like the new Tops Knives Bestia survival knife. It looks like it's built to demolish a building.
For wood use silky saw. Saves time and energy. It is very light and small. Axe for splitting wood. Also saves time and energy. Knife should be used for more delicate work.
Leaving out KaBar and ColdSteel knives unforgivable.
You should always save energy when in the nature.
When the local BBQ gets serious go cold steel lol
My hard use survival knife Ives are from TOPS and Sly Steel (manufactured by TOPS). They make thick, tough, well designed knives.
Is it me, or did neither knives in the thumbnail, get reviewed?
I came for those specifically
This is all they do. Never have the thumb products... and typically the ones in the thumb always seem to be the middle man / most common & affordable of the overall shown lol
I get the whole thumbnail click bate thing, but what I wanted to see in this video and the one in que, is the knives you Actually have in the video. So maybe at least add them in the description box
Yeah I was really wanting to check out the green handled knife. None of the knives featured in the video interested me.
Bruh the last knife cutting the ribs....i mean yeah cuz it just cut the meat i'm the middle of the rib bones....if You smack it thru bones and cut them or break them and still cut meat then would be more presentable to buy

Great video. Very helpful. Thanks for putting it out there.

Nothing like using a axe to hit your knife to split wood .?
That clip made me laugh out loud. The whole video was a joke.
Thanks to both of you, your comments just saved me 10 minutes of my day...
Maby you should show the knives you have pictures on the teaser .just like always the five best .B S

2-300 bucks that SOB better chop wood for me!!😂😂
Ka-Bar is only knife you'll ever need.
I sure hope someone taught that dude how to open a jar since that was filmed.
Круто!!!
Sica style knife :D
#2 I don't like the serrated part in the blade.
0:45 Striking metal on metal? Hitting the knife with the axe poll? Just WHICH axe or knife manufacturer supports this? DANGEROUS a if metal chip cracks off and flies. Great way to ruin both knife and axe.
Not to mention yours eyes.
Why are the thumbnails not in it
The best survival knife is the one you have on you benchmade and cold steel literally designed the locks on their pocket knives for this reason
everything else i could find on the gerber ultimate has stated it is NOT full tang, I would love to know if it is truly full tang or not.? this video is the first to say it is full tang.
Try to find an old Prodigy. Some still float around walmart. Very similar. Only better. They don't make them anymore.
If i ever need to stab a pickle jar or kill an already dead chicken. I think of all the times ive went grocery shopping unarmed. The danger is real

The Bestia, or as I call it, The Froekri...
Gerber should have designed the sheath for the strongarm to carry a ferrous rod
Hi i looked this video 3 times but i count only 4 knives?
4th😳
Anybody else notice dudes poor technique with the bestia
Whats the sheath with flashlight on left of video cover ? Plz respond . Thank you
El segundo cuchillo es idéntico al "Bear Grills" también de la marca Gerber.
I left my wallet in El Segundo
Left my wallet in El Segundo
Left my wallet in El Segundo
I gotta get it, I got-got ta get it
Left my wallet in El Segundo
I gotta get it, I got-got ta get it
Morakniv.................next question.
hitting your knife with an axe to split wood....wow !
where was the bayonet knife in the photo?
The Ultimate Fixed Blade is actually worse than anything made by Schrade. That's really hard to do.
You need to know what a knife is before doing a knife video!! Machete and knife are not the same
For the Gerber, Why would they have the ferro rod snap in upside down on the bottom of the sheath? Seems irrisponsible to put your only means of starting a fire in a position where it can dissapear on the trail, and you would never know it was gone, until that is, you needed a fire.
That dude at 7:10 has a super sexy voice. You all should give him some sexy voice credits.
You say that you really wouldn't call the first knife "kukari" style; I'd be hard pressed to call it a "knife". A beast no doubt.
👍👍👍👍👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻🇧🇷🇧🇷🇧🇷
ew 7cr even pocket knives have at least 8cr and those are budget friendly pocket knives as well.
I glad he didn't hit knife to ax
There are only 4 knives in your top 5 list
ope you pick up that meat at today's prices
I have the knifr from the tumnail(the one on the right) is kinda shit. Not shap enaught and cannt be sharped enaught..plus it gets dull ez
cold steel typical America especially let it be big rather I would die of dehydration what I would drag through a forest of 100kilo iron.ou yeeeah this big yeaaah America 😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂🥳
A Ka bar is better then all of those knifes
So where is the Magnum from the thumbnail!? Thumbs down!
Isn't full Tang better
Algorithms are treacherous and should be outlawed. This video used a thumbnail of a knife I've been looking at on ebay! Big brother, eh?
What’s the name of said knife? The ones in the thumbnail look awesome but aren’t featured in the video
@@colinmckinley2616 Thumbnail is so small now I can't tell and don't remember. Damn the luck!
No 1 , I haven't seen it, don't need to have it , use your axe
No 2 usable typical Gerber boy scout Knife, but decent
No 3 ok but if you have to advertise a leg restraint, I think its not that good
No 4 + 5 not going to happen. zombie knife FFS or pickle jar opener
I had a Gerber prodigy I hated the knife I threw it out
💪💪💪👍🔥💯
None of these took time to include a place for bow drill
I like the Gerber until you mention the rape whistle.
If you want to chop wood buy an axe, lmho!
cold steel is out of stock
And the selection picked are supposed to be better than my Hogue knives? Really? Kind of sad really.
👍😎🍺🍩🔧🗡️
I used to love Gerber but since they shipped all their knIves to be made in China, I have left them behind. I won't put my life on cheaply made stuff.
Same as SOG. They have most of their knives Mde in China too. They used to make great stuff used by lots of military people. Not anymore.
Um... thats a machette not a knife
Knife you showed in picture was not in video. I unsunscribed.
Umm. Yeah that's what chainsaws and just plain saws are for... Zero need to hack at shit anymore, seriously though a tactical tomahawk takes care of that shit perfectly.
Hahaha , a Nice kukri style machete shaded by a guy who dosent know how to use it...what a shame😂😂😂😂
This is just a commercial.
fuck amazon. buy your equipment from your local dealer. buying from amazon is as creative and helpful as painting by numbers

why are you talking sooooooooo slow?
I see this stuff and I wonder who buys this crap?? a sharp rock would be better than half of these abominations.
Clickbait = Dislike
Bull shit! Kukri never been good for chop wood!
